The article reveals some aspects of one of the latest trends in increasing the analytical capabilities of modern socio-economic statistics - the formation of business demography. The relevance of substantiating the statistical and methodological base for studying the processes of creation, stability and liquidation of economic entities is obvious due to the fact that such demographic characteristics of the life cycle of enterprises are increasingly becoming markers of the quality of the country’s economic development as a whole. The central interest of this thesis is the emergence of social  ventures. In this regard, it investigates two types of questions: what regional factors influence the emergence of social  ventures? and what  types of interaction may emerge between the emergence of social  ventures and the demography (entry,  exit  and migration) of commercial ventures in a region? The thesis also aims to adopt a macro-oriented approach to studying the research questions. This dissertation is a compilation of three studies that seek to extend the reaches of agency theory. In the first study, data on California banks from 1979-1987 were used to test the effect that board strength has on the acquisition and subsequent write-off of problem loans. As expected stronger boards incurred fewer loan delinquencies and loan losses. Board strength was also associated with smaller increases in loan write-offs when management turned over but larger increases when board members turned over. This suggests that board members are susceptible to escalating their level of commitme

In our approach, a first and fifth order multivariate Markov chain model was proposed to predict the economic situation in Albania in the proceedings years. Tests and accuracy analysis of the model were performed. The prediction probabilities fall in the interval of 0.47 to 0.52 and the accuracy of both models is 75%. Our approach is a s
