Abstract:
Entrepreneurs in Mexico start their businesses out of need, based on good ideas or to accomplish a “dream”. Nonetheless, starting out a business is not an easy task. Usually, business owners lack either professional background or financial knowledge, and focus only on keeping the business afloat, while trying to obtain profits. Business Intelligence and Analytics serve a great purpose in the growth of any company, but it is usually left out or ignored by small or medium enterprises, due to a lack of knowledge or because owners do not consider it necessary for a mid to long term plan. In the long run, businesses usually fail to achieve profit or cannot continue, and end up not knowing what went wrong. The information that a business generates could serve as a starting point for good and solid decision making, but the culture that dominates small and medium enterprises on any industry leaves important information unrecorded or unattended, forcing them to work based only on trial and error.

Oral speech presupposes the presence of listeners, IE. in its essence, it is intended for interpretation. Oral treatment of people is of great importance to the ability to listen traditionally in different situations. Of course, the ability to listen to the interlocutor without interrupting his speech is great in business relations, and sometimes plays a decisive role: business conversations, negotiations, discussions, disputes. Another point for business communication is very relevant: in the process of communication, General Knowledge, Common Interests, goals and mutual understanding are the starting points of effective speech communication, which form the "speech plan" and "audience plan". When these plans coincide, an ideal situation is created for the perception of oral speech, which is associated with a certain influence on the consciousness and feelings of the audience.

Abstract:
Starting a business is a complex process which requires multifaceted organisation and planning. Entrepreneurs begin with an idea which must immediately be tempered with the need to justify the creative concept, choose the business location, assess the competition and, most importantly, identify methods to finance it. This last task is the most crucial as, without capital, there will be no business. The majority of entrepreneurs face one fundamental problem; they rarely have the amount of capital required to see their ideas to fruition. Creating a business and executing a business plan requires finance. Given the global credit-crunch, it is pertinent that funding options available to entrepreneurs are investigated. An entrepreneur has numerous sources of finance to choose from. These range from funding provided by family or friends to various sources of debt and equity finance. This research aims to explore the financing of businesses in Ireland, to provide a more ...

Abstract:
This study considers the supplier's warranty return and the buyer's rebate policy as business-return policy in the supplier–buyer supply chain. The policy as well as the displayed stock level influences the behavior of the buyer. Distinct from the traditional single-stage inventory model, we investigate a two-stage replenishment policy model for deteriorating item considering the effect of imperfect production process, product design, stock level and business-return. A mathematical model utilizing the time weighted inventory (TWI) approach and two-variables fixed point optimization technique is developed to derive the optimal inspection starting time, the number of deliveries, the optimal delivery-time interval and the optimal business-return period. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the model developed. The result shows that the fixed demand rate, the unit holding cost and the unit inspection cost are the critical factors affecting the scheduling and performance of the two-stage supply chain.

The aim of this chapter is to challenge the context of entrepreneurship competences and management capabilities needed for innovation. We build our arguments in step with actual practice analyzing data from over 200 innovative companies which have been created under the formal requirements of a regional business plan competition during the last 10 years. This study explores the crucial capabilities to start an innovative business and discuss the capabilities have to be developed to sustain innovation and business growth. Therefore, it can be hypothesised that entrepreneurship and innovation education provided by Universities, Centres for Entrepreneurship and through coaching by Business Plan Competitions should focus on building awareness for the necessity of innovations and prepare inventors, entrepreneurs and students for not simply starting an enterprise but the change process in growing companies. The questions are not of whether or not to educate people about entrepreneurship and innovation but rather what are the context and the capabilities needed to sustain business and become an innovative and successful entrepreneur?

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of internships that are done during undergraduate education on graduates’ first job choice and later career plan in a Turkish business school context. To accomplish this purpose, a case study that utilized both quantitative and qualitative data was designed. The quantitative data were obtained from 133 graduates via an online survey form, whereas the qualitative data were obtained from nine graduates during a focus group session. The qualitative data were used to complement the quantitative data and to gain further understanding of the findings of the survey. The results showed that the graduates who did their internships in sectors in line with their career plans continued their career in the same sectors or similar sectors to the sectors in which they did their internships. The duration before starting the first job after graduation was found to be significantly shorter for graduates who did their internship in line with their career plan than for graduates who did not do their internship in line with their career plan. The findings provided useful insight into the role of internships during undergraduate business education.

A health checkup business provides services to examine the customer's health status. This thesis has been developed to understand the heath preventive market and prepare a business plan of starting up high-tier checkup centers in China. The target customers are the high-income individuals with more than USD10, 000 per year in big cities, age between 30 and 69. A case study of Beijing Mei Zhao Health Screening Center illustrates that the analysis of this thesis is reasonable and applicable, however, more details will need to be calibrated before launching the real business. The overall health checkup market is in a full force growth period in China. For example, CiMing Health Checkup Management Group Co., Ltd. filed its IPO in 2012 and 2013. Ciming planned to use the funds to invest in Osis hospital that opened in 2011, which positioned itself as a high-end checkup and medical service center. In another example, iKang Healthcare Group, Inc. has filed its IPO prospectus on NASDAQ on March 3rd, 2014 and the trading commenced on April 9th (NASDAQ:KANG). iKang opened its International Evergreen Medical in December 2013, which is comparable with Osis Hospital. Both of the firms have ambitions to invest in super high-tier health checkup centers. Health 100 claimed that it became the biggest health checkup service institution, with 130 sites in 55 cities in 2013. These are the positive signals for this prosperous market. The audiences of this thesis are the investors and entrepreneurs who are interested in this market, and the scholars who are pursuing academic research on this industry.

Abstract:
This paper examines how the generation of entrepreneurs 50+ should be addressed in order to raise their interest for improving their skills, and how young entrepreneurs and students can profit from the seniorpreneurs’ expertise in production processes and market knowledge as well as from their networks. To promote the promising synergies arising from the collaboration of young and elderly entrepreneurs a project was initiated that combines an integrated product development with business plan design support. Prospective entrepreneurs with industrial experience (seniorpreneurs) and innovative product ideas are matched with multidisciplinary student teams to generate a going-to-market prototype as a basis for starting new businesses. From the standpoint of research and development the balance is excellent with several promising product innovations and business plans for entrepreneurial implementation. The perspective of science and technology transfer demands an urgent desideratum to bring the accumulated value potential into the market.

Abstract:
Purpose – the aim of this paper is to shed light on a contemporary issue related to performance practices and approaches in Local Authotities (LA) while studying the case of an urban municipality. Research methodology – the methodology applied is a documentary analysis of the Municipal Action Plan (MAP) and semi-directive interviews with territorial executives and elected officials who contributed to the MAP’s elaboration. Findings – the results obtained show that the municipality adopts a developed performance approach similar to what has been applied in public institution according to the organic law of Finance (LOLF). Rresearch limitations – the results cannot be generalized because of choosing a single case study. In addition, some questions in the interview contain technical words that the interviewee does not master, which also risks biasing our results. Practical implications – on the theoretical level, these results can be the starting point for future research in such issues. On the practical level, the results obtained sensitize territorial responsible about the importance of performance approach and inspire them to implement it. Originality/Value – this study in among the rarer that attempted to understand the process of performance approach in LA, especially in Moroccan context, where most research tends to deal with problems related to the budget and financial aspect which reflects originality and novelty.

Abstract:
[This Proceedings paper was revised and published in the journal Issues in Informing Science and Information Technology] Aim/Purpose : To understand the change of entrepreneurial initiatives by analysing some new initiatives that came up the last years based on IT enabled business models Background: The theme is described from an educational perspective by offering examples of successful entrepreneurship initiatives Methodology: Description of some cases: Waynabox, Lock up, Uber, Pinterest Contribution: This project tries to become a guide for youth in order to understand various aspects: first, the entrepreneurial aspects that have to be considered before starting a business; secondly, the characteristics that successful businesses have in common; and finally how an entrepreneur can be innovative and how they can achieve the success Findings: Only the 10% of the start-ups exist more than three years. Among the causes of failure are the high saturation of the market and the market competition, which are connected to the ignorance of the real necessity of customers. The company has to identify the needs of customers. They have to define and target their customers by observing and analyzing the market and, above all, getting in touch with the customers. The business plan is something that has to be carried out before the beginning of the project, and has to exist on paper. Everything has to be planned and organised, and the objectives have to be clearly stated in order to stay focused Recommendations for Practitioners: To use existent business models as an inspiration for the creation of a new business model. It is really important to avoid copying the business model itself. One thing that a company needs to do is to make the difference offering new characteristics adapted to the current customer’s experiences Recommendation for Researchers: It is really important to have a good relation with the customer, to attend their needs and to help them with all the doubts that they can have about the company. An entrepreneur cannot be guided by his own interests. He has to invest in order to know the needs of the potential customers Impact on Society: Customer experience is key to have success in new business models

Abstract:
The current article is devoted to search tools for determining the optimal solution and forming the optimal company strategy for small innovative companies in the business innovation environment of the oil and gas complex. The main area of research in the article is the reasons for the difficulties of innovative Russian entrepreneurship and its entry into the domestic market and work in this market. We also consider tools such as SWIFT-analysis of assessment and forecasting of the company's performance, the portfolio model of BCG (Boston consulting group), a multi-factor matrix for selecting strategies for the most effective planning of the company's activities, as an improved version of the Arthur D. Little model. At the same time, the study revealed that a wider range of project and strategic opportunities for planning and managing a company is formed by the production and economic matrix using SWOT analysis. Thus, based on this study, the following recommendations were formulated for beginning entrepreneurs and developers in the field of innovation: take into account and apply the strategy for small innovative enterprises according to the SWOT analysis for monitoring and forecasting upcoming events (production or economic); use marketing research tools, as well as forms for planning a product plan for the life of the company; take into account that the forecast should be based on strategic analysis, using the optimal method for specific goals, and be the starting point for developing new models and business development plans.

Abstract:
The business plan is seen as a complex structured document, which provides logical and factual answers to individual questions about the business. These questions are key to a successful start-up and implementation of longterm business activities. However, there has been a growing opinion in recent years, that a business plan is an inapropriatte tool considering the turbulent environment of nowadays. The aim of our studies is to identify the extent of use of a business plan as an important planning document in SMEs. There are many business owners who do not have a business plan and pay little attention to their planning activities. To better understand how the Slovak entrepreneurs perceive planning, we conducted a questionnaire survey. This reveals very interesting findings about the attitudes of Slovak businessmen to planning and planning documents. Survey results and recommendations are key parts of our article.

Abstract:
Shimane Nuclear Power Station Unit No.3 (hereinafter NS-3) with 1,373 MW of maximum electric power being supplied to The Chugoku Electric Power Co., Inc. (Hereafter The Chugoku EPCO) is now under construction together with Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy (HGNE). The groundbreaking (first establishment in construction business permission) was held in Dec. 2005, and is aimed at starting operation in Dec. 2011. HGNE finished installing the Reactor Pressure Vessel (RPV), the heaviest equipment in the plant in July 2009. HGNE also installed the shroud, one of the most important equipment in Aug. and a giant crawler crane was used for the installation. Regarding electrical equipment, HGNE installed a central control panel into the Control Building (C/B). The installation of main products moves ahead one after another, and the construction is going smoothly. Currently, the main construction has been proceeded to mechanical and electrical work by HGNE from building one by the building contractors. This paper reports the construction status of NS-3 and introduces applied construction technologies and construction management methods.
