The issue of how to implement the granting of exploration mining business licenses based on Article 3 of Law No. 4 of 2009 on Mineral and Coal Mining in Lampung Province and how to supervise mining business activities in Lampung Province. The method used uses normative and empirical juridical research. The implementation of the granting of exploration mining business licenses based on Article 3 of Law No. 4 of 2009 on Mineral and Coal Mining in Lampung Province has been running but not yet maximal because the permit process is too long so that the purpose of the implementation of mining business activities is not achieved. The suggestion is that the license for exploration mining activities must be carried out by one government agency / agency, in order to facilitate the process of obtaining the permit in order to support the effectiveness of mining activities and the cycle of domestic mining investment, especially in Lampung Province.

Abstract:
Rural areas in Indonesia generally have the potential for agriculture but there is little industrial sector orientation, especially in the agricultural product processing sector. For this reason, it is necessary to integrate the sectoral and regional planning through the formulation of a development strategy by considering several basic conditions (local potential) so that each stage of development will be clear. Therefore it is necessary to formulate, whether in Lampung Province in the Regency can form a small city by determining the region of the agglomerative hierarchy through the region and the base sector to support the regency agropolitan center. Analyzing is done by using the gravity area method to see regional strength (the strongest regency/city) with an indication of the population, GRDP and also the distance between regencies/cities in Lampung Province. Then to see the strength of the base sector will be done by the LQ method and Input-Output with the expectation of the model used (gravity analysis) that the Agropolitan center can be determined while the LQ and Input-Output models will determine the strength of the "Agro" base sector so that the Regional and Sectoral analysis will the acceleration of regional agglomeration in Lampung Province is seen.

Abstract:
The increasingly fierce competition mechanism inspired this research in vocational high schools in Indonesia. The State Vocational High School (SMK Negeri) 2 Kalianda, South Lampung, lacked facilities and human resources that can support students success. It also lacked the motivation to face the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. This phenomenon is interesting to explore. This research aimed to illustrate the strategic management of the school. The research was an interpretive paradigm by employing the descriptive qualitative method. The research data were obtained from the principal, curriculum representatives, teachers, education personnel, and school committees. The data collecting techniques employed were observations, interviews, and documentation. Based on the research, it was found that (1) the strategic formulation done by SMK Negeri 2 Kaliandaconsisted of vision and mission, SWOT analysis, short, medium and long term planning, as well as determining strategic superiority that can be categorized as good, but the development of educational facilities (infrastructure) still needs to be optimized. 2) Strategic implementation was ineffective, especially in utilizing information systems and linking employee competencies with educational institutions performance. Those problems were causedby the mismatch between work performancesandthe roles, considering the limited allocation and operations. 3) Strategic evaluation can be categorized as reasonably good, which covered monitoring the results of strategic planning and implementation, measuring individual and school performance, and determining improvement steps.

<em><span>Lampung Province is one of the coffee producing. This is because the topology of the region is very suitable for the fertility of coffee plants. The majority of coffee farmers in Indonesia carry out farming activities in rural areas with small business scale and limited access to innovation, capital, management, technology and information. One factor that causes farmers to be competitive in the context of entrepreneurship at the farmer level is the lack of entrepreneurial skills for farmers, so farmers who are engaged in the agribusiness sector, especially in the upstream subsystem, are very difficult to align with an entrepreneur in the non-agribusiness sector. The lack of entrepreneurial character and entrepreneurial capacity such as entrepreneurial skills is what causes farmers to be less competitive, which results in the agribusiness sector not being able to develop optimally. Adoption of farmers to agricultural technology is determined by their need for the level of technology offered and the suitability of technology for environmental, biophysical, and socio-cultural conditions in an area. The purpose of this study was to determine the general description and profile of Lampung coffee farmers, to find out the entrepreneurial characteristics of Lampung coffee farmers, and to analyze the characteristics, channels and stages of adoption of innovative Lampung coffee farmers with 160 respondents. Abstract:
Strategic planning for higher education is vital because it becomes a reference in determining the direction of policy and organizational performance. To win the competition in gaining the market, strategic planning activities become the spearhead in determining the strategy to achieve the appropriate institutional goals. However, the implementation of strategic planning at Islamic Religious Higher Education (PTKI) is often constrained because of the lack of understanding of the importance of these theories, so the implementation of strategic planning is often only intended for administrative requirements. Amid this condition, there is a phenomenon where some PTKIs are developing rapidly and transforming to be more market-oriented and to win the competition. These PTKIs are UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, IAIN Tulungagung, Muhammadiyah University of Malang, and Malang Islamic University. They have succeeded in creating effective strategies in organizational development until now they can become modern institutions and develop into multi-level organizations. The purpose of this study is to explore the five PTKI strategy models in Indonesia at the corporate and business unit levels based on Fred R. David's corporate-level strategy models, and Porter's generic strategy model theory Data were collected by qualitative methods through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results showed that at the corporate level, Fred R. David's strategy models applied by PTKI were vertical integration strategy, intensive strategy, and diversification strategy. In the defensive strategy, what is more, applied is the retrenchment strategy choice. However, at the business unit level, Porter's well-implemented strategy models are the cost leadership strategy, differentiation strategy, and focus strategy. These results have implications for the selection of business strategy models to be used in either profit-oriented or non-profit strategic planning activities in PTKI.

Bąkiewicz, Anna. "Cultural embeddedness of family businesses succession planning: a comparative study of Poland and Indonesia." Problems and Perspectives in Management 18, no. 3 (October 1, 2020): 328–37. http://dx.doi.org/10.21511/ppm.18(3).2020.27.

Abstract:
The research investigates the bases of succession planning in family businesses (FB), especially the cultural background of the phenomenon. The significance of the issue under study comes from the importance of family business in every economy and the delicate matter of succession as an important business development element. The research is based on the observation that the succession determinants are still outside the mainstream of the research. In this study, it is hypothesized that succession planning is influenced by cultural background. The investigation is done by performing a comparative analysis of family businesses’ potential successors from the culturally distant countries: Poland and Indonesia. An empirical survey-based method is applied to investigate the younger generation’s involvement in preparations for the transfer of the family business. The differences in the approach to the younger generation’s succession identified in the survey are not related to such factors as age, size, or succession experience of the business. Instead, there are premises to say that the differences come from the family and business culture based on national specificity. First-hand support for the cultural embeddedness of FB succession planning was found. Furthermore, the results also reaffirm the doubts concerning the importance of post-communist countries’ economic transformation for succession planning. The empirical study confirms the expectations that the specificity of cultural background in Poland could be especially harmful to succession planning in the family business.
