Four metal tert-butoxides, namely: aluminum (III) tert-butoxide, Al (Ot-C4H9)3, tin (II) tert-butoxide, Sn (Ot-C4H9)2, titanium (IV) tert-butoxide, Ti (Ot-C4H9)4, and lithium tert-butoxide, Li (Ot-C4H9), were used as initiators in the bulk ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of ε-caprolactone (CL). The polymerizations were carried out at 120 °C for 72 hrs. It was found that the Al (Ot-C4H9)3 only partially dissolved in the CL monomer and gave a low % conversion. The Li (Ot-C4H9) initiator did not dissolve and gave no polymerization. In contrast, the Sn (Ot-C4H9)2 initiator dissolved completely,

The insecticide synergist, piperonyl butoxide (PBO), has been used to reduce resistance factors and to characterise metabolic resistance resulting from mixed function oxidases (MFOs). Studies have also shown that PBO can interact with resistance-associated esterases. It is well-documented that the mechanism by which PBO inhibits P450s is the interaction of the methylenedioxyphenyl (MDP) moiety of PBO molecule with the haem moiety of the enzyme. To investigate the interactions between PBO and esterases, a structure activity relationship (SAR) study was carried out using analogues of PBO and E4,

Abstract:
Abstract In this study, the Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) technique was employed to deposit Nickel. Initially, the experiment utilized Diethylzinc (C4H10ZnO) with H2O to create a ZnO adhesion layer. This deposition process was carried out on a Silicon wafer with a crystal structure of <001>. The deposition of ZnO served as a precursor for the subsequent process, which involved the deposition of vaporized Nickel (II) 1-dimethylamino-2-methyl-2-butoxide (Ni(dmamb)2) along with H2 as a carrier gas. This step aimed to achieve the uniform deposition of Nickel (Ni) layers on top of the
