Abstract:
Summary

Abstract:
While many scholars focus on the spirituality of the teacher and its effects on a class (Byler, 2009; Purgason, 2009; Morgan, 2009; Ferris, 2009), the students’ spirituality and how it reveals itself in the classroom cannot be disregarded (Vandrick, 2009; Smith, 2009). Students have the potential to add and change any classroom dynamic through the beliefs they have. These spiritual beliefs can influence student reactions in communicative activities and interactions with teachers and peers. Learning motivation and attitude can also be linked to a student’s spiritual or religious identity (Lepp-Kaethler & Dornyei, 2013). Learners should be free to be themselves and think for themselves in class, without any occurring bias or coercion. (Brown, 2009) This paper provides suggested approaches of how teachers can maintain balance in a classroom of religiously diverse students, allowing for the expression of various beliefs, while being aware, sensitive, and respectful of those variances.

Abstract:
Aim.Analysis of relationship between transforming growth factor beta-1 (TGF-β1) level in blood and liver disease severity before and after liver transplantation in early age children with congenital liver diseases.Materials and methods. The study included 135 pediatric patients aged from 2 to 73 months with end-stage liver disease.Results.The level of TGF-β1 in the blood of children with liver failure on average was lower than in healthy children of the same age. The cytokine level depended on the liver disease etiology: in patients with biliary atresia, biliary hypoplasia, Alagille syndrome, Byler disease and other diseases it was lower than that at Caroli disease when it did not differ from the level in healthy children. The level of cytokine in the blood plasma of patients was associated with the severity of hepatic fi brosis: in fi brosis of grade 1 and 4 it was lower than in fi brosis of grade 2 and 3. The liver transplantation from related living donor resulted in increase of TGF-β1 level in the blood plasma of patients regardless of the initial etiology and severity of the liver disease.Conclusion.The blood level of TGF-β1 refl ects liver disease severity in children with congenital liver diseases and may be used as a marker of liver function state before and after liver transplantation.

Full text
Abstract:
Autorka wykorzystuje tezy Annabell Honess Roe i teorie przestrzeni jako konstruktu społecznego Henri’ego Lefebvre’a, a wpisując film w kontekst urbanistyczny, sięga też do raportu Petera Malpassa rozbijającego mit sukcesu, jaki towarzyszył przebudowie Byker.

Abstract:
In this article discussed basic concept of Russian public procurement. Also stated the problem of monopsony byer power during tendering procedures or unfair competition in the sphere of public procurement. This happenes when byer sets restricting parameters on technical requirement documents for tendering objects. Accordingly, in the authors’ view the most effective way of counteracting this problem is public control. This article contains results of the survey that was made during the research that suggest an almost direct correlation between nominal saving and number of complaints filed against the organizer of public procurement procedures. Moreover, this article contains overview on the Russian public control institution. The article ends with a authors idea of efficient in combating monopsony byer power in public procurement by creating a special internet service for filling complaints and suggestions of public procurement stakeholders. This data hub will increase efficiency of interaction between stakeholders, organizers and government.

Abstract:
This is an extract from the daybook kept by the architects working in the on-site project office which Ralph Erskine and his partner Vernon Gracie established in a former shop during the redevelopment of the Byker area of Newcastle upon Tyne in the 1970s [2]. About the office, Erskine wrote:People, kids, the chief planner – they all come in and out. We often took in kids who had been ‘chucked out’ from home and it was raining […] We exhibited plans, drawings and models in the window – but also local notices. ‘Anyone lost a tricycle? Ask the architect’. “Guinea pigs …’ and so on.In his influential review of the redevelopment in Byker, Peter Malpass claimed that ‘the office represented an unusually thorough attempt by architects to immerse themselves in the culture of a particular set of clients’.
