The solubility isotherms of CoCl2-H2O-CH3OH (C2H5OH) and NiCl2-H2O-CH3OH (C2H5OH) systems at 25 °C have been studied. Crystallization fields of the equilibrium existence of the salts CoCl2 . 6 H2O, CoCl2 . 2 H2O, CoCl2 . 2 CH3OH, CoCl2 . 2.5 C2H5OH, NiCl2 . 6 H2O, NiCl2 . 4 H2O, NiCl2 . 2 H2O, NiCl2 . 3 CH3OH and NiCl2 . 2 C2H5OH have been found. The dehydratation solubility processes of the studied systems have been discussed.

The new 4-acylpyrazolone 1-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-phenyl-4-thenoyl-1H-pyrazol-5-ol (HCPTP) and its Ni(II) complex [Ni(CPTP)2(C2H5OH)2](C2H5OH)2 were synthesized. The ligand and the complex were characterized by elemental analyses, IR and UV/Vis spectroscopy, thermal analyses, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Crystals of HCPTP are monoclinic, space group P21/c with Z = 4 while [Ni(CPTP)2(C2H5OH)2](C2H5OH)2 belongs to the triclinic system, space group P1̄ with Z = 2. The complex has a six-coordinated Ni(II) center in a distorted octahedral configuration with two ethanol ligands in cis position.

X-ray diffraction measurements detected the presence of Co3O4 and CoAl2O4 phases on the surface of both promoted and unpromoted catalysts. The production of Certified Reference Materials (CRM), according to the international standard ISO 17034:2016, has been playing an increasingly role in measurements and accreditation activities of entities/laboratories, with special focus on the field of chemical, biological and clinical tests and physical properties. The IPQ LGR is responsible for the production of various types of CRM, namely gas mixture standards of ethanol in nitrogen (C2H5OH/N2), by gravimetric method according to the international standard ISO 6142-1:2015, and certification by non-dispersive infrared spectroscopy (NDIR)
