The nanoparticle size seems to reduce from 149.7 nm to 116.3 nm by enhancing the zinc acetate Zn(CH3CO2)2. With increasing zinc acetate Zn(CH3CO2)2 in CdS (Cadmium Sulfide) small lattice phase changes appeared due to angle peaks of diffraction shifting toward higher angle. The interaction between a unialgal species ( Stichococcus bacillaris) and cadmium in the presence of several different solutes was investigated by 113Cd NMR. The interaction between the algae and cadmium was very strong, and the Cd/algae complex has an average formation constant of 2.8 × 10s. Upon addition of different solutes into the algae suspension, two results were obtained: in some cases the cadmium in the Cd/algae biomass was removed, and in other situations water molecules around the bound cadmium were replaced by the added ligands. Biofilm technology is being introduced into bioremediation of contaminated soils and underground water, in the form of biofilm barriers. However, the low availability of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and toxicity of the frequently accompanying heavy metals may limit its application. The influences of pH value, presence of an alternative substrate and increased dissolved oxygen were examined. As the pH value increased, cadmium sorption

The present investigation was carried out to study the role of calcium chloride in enhancing tolerance and reducing cadmium toxicity in pea seedlings. Some treatment with 1 and 5 mM CaCl2 mitigated cadmium stress by increasing antioxidant enzyme activities: catalase (CAT), peroxidase (POD) and polyphenol oxidase (PPO), as well as by elevating contents of ascorbic acid (ASA), tocopherol and carotenoids. On the other hand, total carbohydrate and total soluble proteins decreased with increasing cadmium concentrations in comparison with control plants. However, total phenol, total free amino acids
