Abstract:
In this study, the use of triple-sheet phosphor arrangement (TRP) in performing significant improvements to both color quality and luminous flux of white light emitting diode (WLEDs) is introduced. The phosphor layer of CaLaB3O7:Ce3+,Mn2+ is to accomplish green-spectra enhancement for the boost of luminous efficacy (LE), while MgB2O4:Mn2+ red phosphor layer is for red-spectra enhancement to better color rendering index (CRI) of WLEDs. The changes in these two phosphors’ concentrations present considerable effects on the yellow phosphor YAG:Ce3+ concentration, the color quality scale (CQS

AbstractIn [A. Capozzoli, C. Curcio, A. Liseno, MMS, Pizzo Calabro, Italy, 2022], the problem of modeling a source/scatterer using an equivalent radiator has been addressed and an approach has been given and numerically assessed.Once dimensioned the radiating panel, a practical implementation can be provided by a non-uniform array. The element positions should be chosen so that the array is capable to approximate, with an adequate accuracy, the fields radiated by the equivalent radiator. Here, the array element positioning is performed by exploiting a quadrature rule which takes into account t

The 6th century Codex Sinopensis or Sinope Gospels (Paris, Bibliothèque nationale de France) is one of the most precious purple codices that survive from the Late Antique period. Together with the Vienna Genesis (Wien, Österreichische Nationalbibliothek) and the Rossano Gospels (Rossano Calabro, Museo Diocesano), it has an unusually rich decorative apparatus with scenes representing biblical episodes. It can be, therefore, considered one of the most important preserved artistic productions of the early medieval era. The manuscript has been subjected to a non-invasive diagnostic campaign to eva

High-resolution seismic reflection profiles of the Calabro-Tyrrhenian continental shelf were collected using different seismic sources (Sub-Bottom Profiler, Uniboom, Sparker 0.5-1-4.5 kJ). Noticeable differences and results were obtained both from a geophysical and geological-interpretative point of view. The availability of different sources permitted the definition of the most suitable seismostratigraphic characterization in terms of resolution, penetration and acoustic facies. Very high resolution stratigraphy was defined through profiles produced by different seismic systems used in parall

AbstractThe Central-Southern Apennines are the result of the collision between Europe and Africa. Despite the volume of existing literature, many problems remain unsolved such as the presence of Tertiary conglomerates containing exotic basement clasts. The lack of basement rocks in the Central-Southern Apennines implies that the origin of these clasts has to be sought in areas where the basement is extensively exposed. These include the Calabro–Peloritani arc and the Sardinia–Corsica block, which in Cenozoic time were connected to the Central-Southern Apennines. In this work we present the res

Ground and polished stone axes in southern Italy received little attention after a period of lively interest in the late 19th century. The great number of axes from archaeological sites and collections suggests widespread manufacture and exchange on a considerable scale. In eastern Sicily the production of basalt axes was long-lived, beginning in the Neolithic (Stentinello phase) and reaching a peak in the Copper and Early Bronze Ages. Greenstone axes are also found throughout these periods. By the Middle or Late Bronze Age, stone axes were probably little used, having been largely replaced by
