Abstract:
ABSTRACT The calcifying odontogenic cyst represents a heterogeneous group of lesions that exhibits a variety of clinicopathologic and behavioral features. Therefore, a proper categorization of the cases is needed for better understanding of each variant. Ameloblastoma is one of the well-known odontogenic tumors that could be associated with calcifying odontogenic cyst. Very few cases of ameloblastomatous calcifying odontogenic cyst have been reported in the literature. In this report, we present a case of ameloblastomatous calcifying odontogenic cyst differentiating it from other variants of c

Abstract:
Calcifying ghost cell odontogenic cystis a unique and relatively uncommon odontogenic lesion characterised by diverse clinical, radiological and biological behaviour. It can exhibit a solid neoplasm or a cyst or sometimes both. It is rare developmental odontogenic cyst with notable presence of histopathological features which include a cystic lining demonstrating “ghost epithelial cells”. We report a case of calcifying ghost cell odontogenic cyst in mandible with an aggressive behaviour treated in an aggressive manner.

Background: The pathologies associated with impacted maxillary canine tooth presented as radiolucent, radiopaque and mixed radiolucent radiopaque lesions on radiographs and adenomatoid odontogenic tumor was the most common pathology associated with it followed by dentigerous cyst, odontoma and calcifying odontogenic cyst after histopathological confirmation. This study was planned to determine the frequency of pathologies associated with impacted maxillary canine tooth in patients presenting at a tertiary care hospital. Methods: This cross-sectional survey was conducted at Dental / Oral Surgery

Abstract:
The calcifying ghost cell odontogenic cyst (CGCOC) was first described by Gorlin et al. in 1962. Calcifying ghost cell odontogenic cyst is comparatively rare in occurrence, constituting about 0.37% to 2.1% of all odontogenic tumors. The most notable features of this pathologic entity are histopathological features which include a cystic lining demonstrating characteristic “Ghost” epithelial cells with a propensity to calcify. In addition, the CGCOC may be associated with other recognized odontogenic tumors, most commonly odontomas. There are variants of CGCOC according to clinical, histopathol

Introduction: Calcifying odontogenic cyst (COC) is a benign cystic type of odontogenic tumor, without neoplastic character and unusual in nature. Its development is slow and asymptomatic, being characterized by a mass that affects the maxilla and mandible. Case Report: A 40-year-old male presented with mild extra and intraoral facial swelling in the region of the right upper incisors, without symptoms. On intraoral examination, he observed intact and normal colored buccal mucosa. Radiographic examination showed a radiolucent lesion between teeth 11 and 12. Excisional biopsy was performed. The
