Full text--- Currently, the trend of the health of primary care is to use the basic management tools for the design of operational plans that meet the needs of demand in contrast to the offer, as well as rescuing the importance of correct design, which is emphasized in the study of "the demand for health care," that is taken into account service users as determinants of use. General Objective: To determine the health profile of the families who live in these 06 sectors AA.HH. Puerto Nuevo - Callao, and their relationship to local participatory planning, between the months of November 2007 to January 2008. Materials and Methods: Qualitative-Quantitative Applied Research. We performed triangulation of 3 stages: 1° Descriptive, cross-sectional observational through a structured survey of 600 families from AA.HH. Puerto Nuevo - Callao; 2 ° Exploratory, based on a depth interview with 05 members of the team management “Puerto Nuevo” Health center, and 3 ° Triangulation of 02 stages. The statistical analysis program was used SPSS version 11.0, were produced charts and graphs. Results: There are several risk factors that make the health profile highly vulnerable: Shortage of basic services and sanitation, overcrowding, existence of cough chronic, low culture for taking Pap test in women, low immunization coverage for children, existence of family violence and drug addiction, do not have medical insurance, among others. The health staff was interviewed, was found positive attitudes about the importance of local health plan, and negative impact on their design and implementation. Conclusions: The health profile of the families that live in the AA.HH. Puerto Nuevo - Callao isn´t related to the "Puerto Nuevo" Health center´s local planning. It doesn´t consider the real health profile of the community, considering the statistics from the records of daily production of the HIS leaves.

Full textThis thesis consists in a research that covers topics such as the history of architectural typology, study of reference projects, analysis of the urban environment, user, among others, in order to obtain an architectural program that meets the needs of citizens from the Callao Sur region. The project consists of a mediatheque located in the district of La Perla- Callao. The property has double access, the first from Venezuela Avenue, and the second from Elias Chunga Street. It can be accessed from public, private and, in the future, through the Metro 2 line. The mediatheque is retired from both avenues, creating public meeting spaces for citizens. The architecture is divided into three main volumes. In the middle is the Hall, which is accessed from the public squares located on both fronts. To one side is the volume of mediatheque services and offices, and to the other, the volume of complementary services and general services. What is proposed is a mediatheque, which includes rooms for reading, research, audiovisual media, information, SUMS, meeting spaces, among others; that complements educational institutions and citizens of the area, providing resources and services that are essential for the development of academic tasks and research. In this way, it contributes to the improvement of the educational - cultural quality of Callao, which is fundamental in the integral development of the people.

Full textThe district of Callao, capital of the province of the same name, has had an enormous population growth in recent years. However, the cultural offerings have not increased at a similar rate. The actual municipal library dates from the year 1943, and since then, it hasn’t gone through any transcendent change for it to adapt it to recent times. This building not only needs an increase on square meters, but also on new program that can turn it into a rich mixed-use project. It is necessary for it to be a spatially flexible building that can adapt to future changes, but that is also able, in spite of its contemporaneity, to insert itself as part of a particular historical context. This thesis project presents a potential alternative for a municipal library that, seen from it use, serves as a tool and an aid for education in all of its stages and that, from an urban perspective, generates activity in its immediate context and enhances its morphological characteristics, all while respecting the built heritage that sits on the space, incorporating it as part of the new project.

Full text--- Some biological, population, and fisheries indicators of “hairy crab” Cancer setosus (Molina, 1782) were determined in the area of Callao with the purpose of providing some technical elements for fisheries management. First, 4 553 specimens from Callao’s artisanal fishery area were analyzed during the period 2006 to 2008. The observed sexual proportion differs from 1:1, which is the most frequent measure between male specimens since a major pressure of fishing is exercised over them due to their larger size and better performance according to their weight. Along with that, the relationship between length and weight was isometric in both sexes; defined as Peso total = 0,0001 * AC^3,10 in males, and Peso total: 0.0006 * AC^2,77 in females. Besides, morphometric maturity for males was estimated as 120.5 mm AC. The growth also showed some differences between both sexes, males reach larger sizes (L∞=204.1) and grow more rapidly (K=0.56), while females are smaller size (L∞=194.1) and lower growth rate (K=0.52). The capture and effort values were higher during summer and autumn; there was no direct relationship between captures and environmental variables but with the effort applied in extractive activities. As a result from the obtained and analyzed information, it can be said that despite the strong pressure over fishing, the “hairy crab” population could stand by itself the rhythm of fishery during the study period. Moreover, to be more conclusive, is important and necessary to make effective more researches which allow us to establish the optimal capture and effort levels for a sustainable activity.

Paris 3, 2008. http://www.theses.fr/2008PA030107.
Full textBetween 1947 and 1965, Maria Callas developed not only an unconventional style of operatic singing while reviving the bygone technique of bel canto, but also her consummate dramatic skills. With her, the dramatic essence of the operatic genre sprang forth anew on the stage : the acting body combined with the singing body, ‘seeing’ combined with ‘hearing’. The study of Luchino Visconti’s five operatic productions and of the correspondence effects he contrived as a director – the starting points of our analysis – opens up new paths which enable us to comprehend both today’s reception and yesterday’s efficacy. From a genealogy of public idols and acting techniques to the problematics of the Ut Pictura Theatrum, analogical confrontations with various references from the performing arts, the fine arts and the cinema, reveal prospects for analysis and bring to light fundamental aesthetic notions. Thus, the rhetorical technè turns out to be an invaluable tool so as to understand the construction of this acting body, especially with the notion of actio – the rendering of speech through the voice and the body – at the core of the orator’s art, of the construction and theorization of tragic acting in the classical age. Through the questioning of the mimetic arts involved by such a study, the notions of the sublime and amplificatio are also essential to the decoding of an expanded, vehement and stylized theatrical (/performing) action

Full textThe project of the New Central Market of Callao was born due to the need to improve the infrastructure dedicated to this typology in the heart of the “chalaco” district. In order to achieve this intention, the actual location of the Central Market was intervened. The main problem was that its antiquity reflected itself with a discontinued functionality. However, through a understanding of the characteristic roots of the population of Callao, the project aims to preserve the existing perimeter of the actual market, which has a evident monumental value, repowering its relevance with new uses adapted for the population of the area. Complementary to this action, a completely new architectural design at the interior of the market rises. This space approach adapts to the existing perimeter in a formal level, but in a functional level as well. Finally, the architectural program includes commercial, gastronomic and recreational uses.

Full textCallao Constitutional Province houses the most important port in Peru, which has been turning Callao´s Monumental Zone into an industrial hub that has neglected the historical and cultural value of the city. Callao´s Cultural Centre seeks to revalue the area with an urbanistic landscape proposal that connects the city with the sea; through a cultural and recreational project whose design takes spatial flexibility as the main strategy for the development of the program. The proposal is based on a central axis that works as an articulating space, which connects with all the hard-programmatic activities of the center, turning the circulations into hierarchy spaces that transforms from transit spaces into open spaces for permanence that promotes leisure, cultural and art activities which can vary depending on the program in which they are inserted into.

Full textThe main topic of this thesis is the political and administrative corruption within the Regional Government of Callao as a case study during the period 2014- 2018. The thesis is written as a response to the existing legal loopholes shown by the research community in relation to corruption practices. That legal vacuum has been produced due to the outward-looking approach of most of the research done on the topic. To face this problem, this research has been done using direct participant observation and a systems approach methodology. Through these methodologies, practices identified within the Regional Government of Callao’s Headquarters have been described. They were identified not only using direct observation, but also interviewing the participants in the regional government itself. This was done to illustrate how the political and administrative corruption are both articulated and the way in which the nation-state and the bureaucracy are manifested. These corruption practices take advantage of the weakness of the administrative system itself and the legal loopholes. Equally, the political, social, and economic factors help the corruption to re-invent’ itself utilizing bureaucracy through political interference. The main findings are the capture of the Office of Human Resources and the importance it has for the practice of patronage and clientelism. It is shown how the political spectrum has been invaded as a consequence of the arrival of a pseudo hegemonic political party as well as the birth of the newest public patrimonialism in Peru. The latter has subordinated the political power due to financial incentives. This fact has led to the birth of a new way to play politics as it shows that other Regional Governments share the same institutional weakness and most of the corruption practices

Full textThis paper has as objective the strategic planning of the Callao Region to promote its economic and social development, using the competitive advantages that the region possesses, with a vision for the future by the year 2027. For the development of the plan the determining factors were identified of success, such as the great positioning in the fishing sector, products with export potential, great tourist attractions and strategic geographic location for foreign trade, factors that will allow the region to reach the desired future situation, since these competitive advantages are currently not fully exploited due to the lack of strategic direction in the region that have allowed fish flour to stop being the star product of the region, as well as fish oil. The analysis of the national and international forces identified highlights the changing sources of market growth, the increase in competition, the political factor, public and private investment, the rapid growth of the market and free trade treatments. For them, they propose to apply intensive strategies associated in: (a) development of markets and products, and (b) market penetration, as well as a strategy for the integration of companies related to the industry, which allow strategic alliances with various suppliers and clients, which contributes to positioning the Callao region as a reference within the international scope for the year 2027.

The following thesis presents Callao Port Strategic Plan, which will conduct to be South America most competitive port, elevating with this Peru competitiveness. This analysis involves the three terminals related to international trade and the port community associated to this activity. The methodology used was proposed by D´Alessio (2012) based in strategic management, which analyze the actual port situation to define a vision that defines long term objectives to be reached by several strategies. Nowadays, Callao Port it is the most important port in Peru, which operates 90% of the goods that enter or leave the country. This document reveals that the privatization of the terminals have been increasing the strengths and in order to reach long term objectives implies to continue with the development of the port infrastructure by the terminals administration, increasing volume, the integration of the port community and Government support in extra port infrastructure development to connect the port with the rest of the country and Brasil. Retained strategies are designed to take advantage of the strengths and opportunities, also to enforce the weaknesses and neutralize threats. Callao Port collets all conditions needed to be South America most competitive port, it is necessary the cooperation of all port community members, specially Peruvian Government thought the National Port Authority as the coordinator of all resources needed to reach 2025 vision.

In the services, commerce and manufacturing sectors, it has a development above the average in the country, however there is much to improve to reach the ideal levels to be international competitive and achieve better profitability margins. Therefore, the regional authorities have the great opportunity to take advantage of this potential and implement effective strategies that improve the levels of productivity, health, education, security and employment in the region. The Strategic Planning for the Callao Region, proposed in this document, has a vision to the year 2027 and aims to develop the sectors of manufacturing, commerce, construction and services such as tourism to achieve better employment indicators, security and health within the region that allows the population to achieve better quality of life indexes. All this will also be possible with the development of the port and airport, which already have projects for improvements in execution but still with pending tasks to achieve greater competitiveness worldwide. The present plan has been developed from the Sequential Model of the Strategic Process according to Professor Fernando D'Alessio, using the tools proposed by the model, which allowed to establish both strategies and long-term objectives that can be monitored by shortterm objectives and in this way be able to periodically evaluate the achievement of them

Full textThe poor performance of the FDPN teams and the lack of adequate sports infrastructure, linked to poor urban design has raised the need to strengthen these points and a new place that functions as both urban and sports landmarks. Within this phenomenon, the IPD, the FDPN and the Municipality of Callao have been directly affected due to the deficit of both public and sports and interlinked spaces. Adding this problem to the general need for public space in the city, it was decided to create a sports center that will function as an equipment for the district and provide adequate sports for competitions and results. The project emphasizes the idea of the link and integration. The idea is to generate an atmosphere of fraternization, inspiring and raising awareness among athletes of all levels through mutual communication, linking with each other. This is achieved through a network of binding spaces, where the congregation and meeting of experienced athletes is encouraged, and amateurs experience sensations produced by tectonics and contact with natural elements. In addition, the project works an innovation with materiality. Laminated wood is largely used as toppings. The use of laminated wood is something new in this type of projects for the country. The idea stems from having a coverage with which it is less impactful on the environment as well as a more resistant in case of earthquake and fire.

Full textUTILITY OF A VISUAL ACUITY APP AND NEED OF OPHTHALMOLOGIC EVALUATION IN A PRIVATE SCHOOL OF CALLAO - 2005 ABSTRACT Introduction. Myopia is a cause of visual impairment that affects the development of children and adolescents. The use of visual acuity apps is an alternative for healthcare providers and non-healthcare professionals. Objectives. To evaluate the agreement between visual acuity assessment with an app performed by teachers against to the traditional Snellen chart performed by an optometrist in children of 6 to 17 years old. Materials and methods. Cross-sectional, analytical and observational study; three blind and independent evaluations were carried out (Snellen chart at 20 feet, visual acuity app by optometrist and the same app performed by teacher) to 196/252 school children. Values were changed to logMAR and the Lin coefficient was used to assess the concordance between them and was represented by Bland-Altman plots. Results. The mean age was 11.28 ±3.07 years; 55.61 % were male; ten classrooms were evaluated; elementary students correspond to 46.94 %; 57.14 % do not use lenses and only 51.53 % has been previously evaluated by a specialist. In the analysis of all classrooms, a low concordance with Lin coefficient (up to 0.322) between measurements was obtain. Conclusion. The Snellen chart can’t be replaced with the visual acuity app chosen for the study. Key words. Visual Acuity; Myopia; Mobile Applications; Child; Optometry, Peru (source: MeSH NLM)

The Strategic Plan applied to the Callao Region was developed through D’Alessio’s (2015) sequential model, with a vision for the future for the year 2026. The goal, in this case, is to turn the region into a smart city, which seeks improving the welfare and quality of life of citizens, which involves analyzing the situation of institutions, society, economy, environment, infrastructure and technology; the latter would be an aspect that would integrate all the stakeholders, such as the government, the private sector and civil society. In that sense, it was found that there is an opportunity to turn the region into a strategic interconnection center of Peru, with competitive port, air and logistics services, as well as tourism services supported by a social and productive infrastructure in alliance with Lima Metropolitana, with the last generation in technology to generate information for all the inhabitants. However, the transformation of the Callao Region requires strategies that address key factors, such as the strengthening of citizen security, the formalization of companies, as well as the expansion of the Callao port and the airport, together with the development of access routes, facilitating trade and logistics services, and the necessary infrastructure and adequate services to receive foreign tourists. Likewise, it was found that access to new technologies needs to be reinforced, to allow the interconnection and the handling of information should be strengthened for the benefit of the regional government and the community in general, all this must be developed within a framework of sustainability and care for the environment
