To the Editor: Congratulations to Hryniuk and Bush in their effort to make sense out of many different chemotherapy regimens. However, in my opinion, I think they interpret their results too narrowly. For example, in Fig 2 and especially Fig 4, a straight line parallel to the ordinate at 0.6 fits the data as well as a line with a slope. In Fig 5, I am led by the discussion to accept a line from a median survival time (MST) of 10 months to an MST of 20 months, as the CR plus PR percent is increased from 20% to 80%. A line parallel to the abscissa at an MST of 15 months fits the data as well. If

We developed a novel immunotherapy approach using enantiomerically pure, R-DOTAP cationic lipid nanoparticles and tumor-derived T cell antigens, and previously demonstrated that R-DOTAP formulations efficiently prime cytotoxic T cells through enhanced cross presentation and induction of type I interferons.[1] A phase I clinical trial of a R-DOTAP HPV16 peptide formulation confirmed induction of strong in vivo HPV-specific CD8+ cytolyti

The overwhelming majority of head and neck cancers and related deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries, which have challenges related to burden of disease versus access to care. Yet the additional health care burden of the COVID-19 pandemic has also impacted access to care for patients with head and neck cancer in the United States. This article focuses on challenges and innovation in prioritizing head and neck cancer care in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Indian experience of value-added head and neck cancer care in busy and densely populated regions, and strategies to optimize the manageme

Exposure to toxic particles from smoke generated either from bush fire, stable burning, or direct smoking is very harmful to our health. The tiny particles easily penetrate deep into the lungs after exposure and damage the airways. Tobacco smoking causes the direct emission of 2.6 million tons of CO2 and 5.2 million tons of methane annually into the atmosphere. Nevertheless, it is one of the significant contributors to various respiratory diseases leading to lung cancer. These particles’ deposition in the human airway is computed in the present article for refining our understanding of the adv
