Abstract:

Esta pesquisa, como parte de um estudo mais amplo acerca de expressões e manifestações de fé popular, visa entender como, mesmo à parte da institucionalidade, se desenvolveu o culto a Francisco José das Chagas, conhecido como Chaguinhas, o “Santinho da Liberdade”, na Capela Nossa Senhora dos Aflitos, no bairro da Liberdade, na capital paulista. Da mesma forma como tantas outras santidades populares, essa foi construída a partir de uma morte marcada pela tragicidade e que provocou um impacto emocional em umas tantas pessoas presentes naquele contexto e que não tardaram a atribuir ao réu sentenciado a morte, no final do período colonial, poderes excepcionais de intercessão celestial, resultando deste então, o testemunho de um grande número de graças alcançadas. Apesar deste culto ocorrer no interior de uma capela consagrada, seu caráter é oficioso, pois Chaguinhas não faz parte do panteão oficial, o que absolutamente parece não diminuir a fé daqueles que buscam esperança e alento para suas próprias vidas. Abstract The article presents two modules operating in a hybrid CAPCAST system implemented in the Department of Applied Computer Science and Modelling, AGH University of Science and Technology, Cracow. These are the modules: CAPCAST-base of producers and CAPCAST-base of materials. Registered producers may benefit from other modules of the system, the base can also be an independent source of knowledge about Polish foundries and their production capacity, and can serve as a kind of platform for the implementation of the basic functions of e-business. The base of materials can also be a source of knowledge about materials, and it allows searching and filtering the lists of materials in terms of user-selected attributes using a multi-level search engine. This module is integrated with the rest of the system and can be used by other modules. The system has been developed at the AGH Department of Applied Computer Science and Modelling in Cracow.

Abstract:

Com o advento de novas tecnologias, a geologia avançou em seu conhecimento. E técnicas de sensoriamento remoto como magnetometria, imagens de satélite Landsat 8 e dados TOPODATA, que são geoprocessados em diferentes softwares como o Quantum Gis permitiram a redefinição de novos limites geológicos na região de Capela, Sergipe. Essas informações, associadas aos dados de trabalhos de campo, permitiram a identificação de novas litologias e estruturas, o que levou a uma melhor delimitação do pluton em questão e a obtenção de um novo mapa geológico da região estudada. Este corpo abrange uma sucessão de rochas ígneas, formado por gabros, relacionados com quartzo-dioritos, comumente associados a xenólitos dos metassedimentos da rocha encaixante. Sua forma pode estar relacionada a ação de falhas rúpteis e assume-se nesse trabalho que não há dois corpos gabróico-graníticos, como antes se interpretava na região, e sim apenas um único corpo, chamado Corpo Capela. Seu formato final se deve principalmente a ação das falhas tardias que deslocam o pluton na direção NE-SW.Palavras–chave: Sensoriamento Remoto, Geoprocessamento, Corpo Gabróico-Granítico.Abstract Geological knowledge advanced with new technologies. Moreover, remote sensory like magnetometry, Landsat 8 satellite images and TOPODATA data are geoprocessing by a diversity of software like Quantum Gis that makes possible the definition of new geological limits at the area of Capela, Sergipe. The information, with work field, made identification of new lithologies and geological structures, that makes a better delimitation of a pluton in the field and a new geological map for the study area. The body has a succession of igneous rocks constituted by gabbros, associated with quartz-diorites, associated with xenoliths of metasediments from the host rock. Its shape is related to the action as rupted faults. In this paper, one can assume that it does not have two gabbroic-granitic bodies like was interpreted before in the area, but just one called Corpo Capela. Its final shape it is because the action of late faults changes the pluton in the direction NE-SW.Keywords: Remote sensing, Geoprocessing, Gabbroic-Granitic body.

O presente artigo pretende identificar a teologia imagética do artista florentino Michelangelo Buonarroti, que foi cristalizada na iconografia dos afrescos sistinos, em especial, no afresco do altar denominado Il Giudizio Universal. Leziunile cavitare pulmonare pun probleme complexe de diagnostic diferenţial, spectrul etiologic incluzând: – Infecţii necrotizante (pneumonii, tuberculoză pulmonară, abcese cu paraziţi şi fungi) sau – Afecţiuni noninfecţioase (neoplasm pulmonar necrozat, infarct pulmonar infectat, vasculite, colagenoze cu cavităţi pulmonare prin mecanism imunologic, aspiraţie de corp străin intrabronşic, malformaţii congenitale pulmonare, pneumoconioze excavate etc). Prezentăm trei cazuri clinice cu imagini radiologice similare, respectiv multiple formaţiuni cavitare pulmonare, dar cu diagnostic şi etiologii diferite: sepsis cu Staphilococcus aureus MRSA, echinococoza cu localizări multiple şi tuberculoză pulmonară secundară, formă cazeos-cavitară. În toate cele trei cazuri, radiografia pulmonară standard a fost investigaţia de bază în diagnosticul afecţiunii pulmonare, însă diagnosticul de certitudine a necesitat efectuarea şi altor metode de investigaţie.

Abstract:

Etilenglicolul este unul dintre cei mai toxici alcooli, fiind consumat accidental sau voluntar, ca substituent al etanolului sau în scop suicid. Ingestia de etilenglicol determină, prin metaboliţii săi toxici, acidoză metabolică severă, cu creşterea hiatusului anionic şi osmotic, conducând la un tablou clinic ce asociază deprimarea sistemului nervos central, afectare cardiovasculară şi insuficienţă renală. Prezentăm cazul unui pacient în vârstă de 16 ani internat pentru semne clinice şi biologice de intoxicaţie cu etilenglicol apărute după ingestia simultană de antigel şi alcool. Pacientul a prezentat acidoză metabolică doar la debut, rapid corectată de o doză de bicarbonat de sodiu; investigaţiile ulterioare nu au relevat acidoză, chiar dacă în evoluţie a apărut insuficienţa renală acută ce a necesitat hemodializă. Datorită absenţei anamnezei pozitive şi a acidozei metabolice persistente, diagnosticul de intoxicaţie cu etilenglicol a fost întârziat până la confirmarea prin testul toxicologic seric. Concluzii: ingestia concomitentă de etanol poate masca simptomele intoxicaţiei cu etilenglicol; absenţa acidozei metabolice persistente nu exclude diagnosticul.

Abstract:

O artigo apresenta o processo de reconstrução da Capela das Mercês, situada na cidade paulista de São Luiz do Paraitinga, destruída por uma enchente em janeiro de 2010. Com a catástrofe, as ações e as tensões entre interesses de diferentes grupos ficaram explicitadas por meio de decisões a respeito da maneira sobre como se daria a reconstrução desse edifício. A Capela das Mercês, como monumento histórico, arquitetônico e cultural tombado atua sobre a memória dos luizenses e, por meio dela, preserva e dissemina a identidade da comunidade. Foram analisados parte dos documentos dos processos de tombamento e da reconstrução e alguns discursos dos representantes do órgão federal de preservação do patrimônio nacional.

Abstract:

Background: The rehabilitation of complications related to oral feeding, resulting from gastroplasty is the competence of the speech therapist, to intervene in mastication and swallowing functions, aiming at quality of life. Aim: Check in the postoperative period the efficiency of stimulation, independent judges in readiness for re-introduction of solid food in morbidly obese undergoing gastroplasty. Method: Cross-sectional study of descriptive and quantitative evaluated mastication and quality of life of 70 morbidly obese patients undergoing gastroplasty, and a group of 35 obese suffered speech therapy. Results: In the evaluation of mastication for group 1 (pre and post speech therapy), the results show that, except for the lack of chewing, the other variables, such as food court, type of mastication, mastication rhythm, jaw movements, bolus size, excessive mastication and fluid intake, demonstrate statistical insignificance. In evaluating the quality of life when compared groups 1 and 2, the results from the questionnaire on quality of life in dysphagia (SWAL-QoL - Quality of Life in Swallowing) total and 11 domains assessed in the questionnaire, were statistically significant. With these results, the group 2 presented unfavorable conditions for quality of life. Conclusion: The stimulation protocol, independent judges in readiness for re-introduction of solid food of these patients in the postoperative period, applied in these conditions of the study, was not the distinguishing factor of the rehabilitation process for the observed period.

Abstract:

O presente artigo visa demonstrar todo o impacto que a obra “Divina Comédia” escrita pelo autor Dante Alighieri exerceu nas produções pictóricas no século XIV na Itália. Em específico, será abordada a pintura realizada pelo pintor Giotto di Bondone na capela Scrovegni em Pádua. Para atingir tamanho objetivo, serão comparados os versos dessa história com as imagens, principalmente na parte do afresco sobre o tema do Juízo Final, em que o Inferno e os personagens presentes nesse espaço se assemelham com a descrição do autor. Sendo assim, apresentaremos um panorama dessas relações estreitas entre esses segmentos artísticos que transmitiram uma perspectiva da cultura e das mentalidades no período medieval.

Abstract:

10680 Background: COX-2 is overexpressed during cancer progression in several solid tumors, including breast cancer, and constitutes an attractive therapeutic target. Selective COX-2 inhibitors, such as Celecoxib, have been successfully combined with fluoropyrimidine-based regimens, resulting in a lower-than-expected hematologic, GI, and skin toxicity rate. Methods: MBC pts who had progressed after at least one chemotherapy regimen for metastatic disease were eligible for the study. Capecitabine was administered at the starting dose of 1500–2000 mg/m2 daily for 14 days q3 wks. Celecoxib was administered at 200 mg b.i.d., continuously, starting on day 1. Dose escalation to Capecitabine 2000 or 2500 mg/m2 was allowed in the absence of toxicity > G1. Results: To date, 22 pts (median age: 55 yrs, range 35–81; ECOG PS 0: 21 pts) have been accrued; all pts had MBC and the majority had received adjuvant chemotherapy and hormonal treatment in the adjuvant and/or metastatic setting; all pts had been exposed to anthracyclines and/or taxanes. CapCel was administered as 2nd-, 3rd-, or ≥ 4th-line chemotherapy in 3, 10, and 9 pts, respectively. Capecitabine starting dose was 1500 mg/m2 in 9 pts and 2000 mg/m2 in 13 pts. Median number of cycles administered was 5 (range: 1–15). Toxicity was negligible: 1 pt experienced G3 neutropenia, 2 pts G3 skin/nail toxicity, and 1 pt G3 liver toxicity; all other toxicities were of grade ≤2. No Celecoxib-related GI or cardiovascular toxicities were observed. Capecitabine dose was escalated from 1500 to 2000 mg/m2 in 3/9 pts and from 2000 to 2500 mg/m2 in 2/13 pts, respectively, and reduced from 2000 to 1500 mg/m2 in 4/13 pts. Twenty pts are currently evaluable for response: 2 pts had PR (duration 48 and 49 wks, respectively), 15 pts had SD (median duration: 20 wks, range 12–44), and 3 pts progressed on therapy, for an overall clinical benefit rate of 40%. Median survival has not been reached. Conclusions: Overall, these preliminary results indicate that CapCel is extremely well-tolerated and has significant anti-tumor activity in a population of far advanced MBC pts. The study will continue to reach the projected accrual of 45 pts. No significant financial relationships to disclose.

A capela Árvore da Vida foi agraciada, em 2011, com o prémio ArchDaily para edifício religioso com melhor arquitetura, e tornou-se mundialmente conhecida. Na construção de uma via hermenêutica de acesso ao seu tálamo eucarístico, em cuja criação participámos, explora-se a sua compreensão multidimensional: as diferentes camadas simbólicas; como memória e recriação se implicam. Nesse diálogo temos presentes as criações artísticas, a literatura mística (sobretudo comentários de Santa Teresa e sermões de S. Bernardo sobre o Cântico dos Cânticos) e a poesia contemporânea. Ensaístico e meditativo, o texto desafia para uma espiritualidade do atrevimento, no sentido teresiano, cuja expressão criativa se institui no renovar poético da espacialidade, da praxis escultórica, da performance ritual e da linguagem religiosa.

ABSTRACT Seeking to expand the floristic studies for the Atlantic rainforest, we herein present, based on field trips (January 2011 to April 2013) and herbarium records, a list of vascular plants found in the Mata do Junco Wildlife Refuge, State of Sergipe, Northeastern Brazil. We registered a total of 380 species, 244 genera and 80 families, with 45 new occurrences for the Atlantic rainforest of the State of Sergipe. The most representative families were Fabaceae (36 species), Cyperaceae (29) and Poaceae (28). Herbs were the most representative regarding habit (167 species or 44%). We found two threatened species: Caesalpinia echinata Lam. and Campylocentrum pernambucense Hoehne, both in the "endangered" category. Overall, the results indicate that the Mata do Junco Wildlife Refuge is floristically similar to other areas of Atlantic rainforest in the State of Sergipe. Moreover, the existence of new records and of a threatened native species reinforces its importance for conservation.

Poucas notícias se conhecem sobre os primeiros mestres de capela do Rio de Janeiro. Não existem trabalhos publicados até hoje, como há, por exemplo, sobre os de Salvador da Bahia. Sabemos que Antônio Nunes de Sequeira ocupava o posto na catedral do Rio de Janeiro em 1743, porque dele há uma carta na apresentação do tratado Escola de Canto e Órgão, do então mestre de capela de Salvador, Caetano de Mello Jesus. Sequeira, nascido no Rio em 2 de abril de 1701 e morto em 1759 foi, segundo Sacramento Blake, homem culto e, ao mesmo tempo que mestre de capela da Catedral, pertenceu à Academia dos Selectos, foi reitor do seminário diocesano de São José e examinador sinodal. Sabemos que em 1789 morreu João Lopes Ferreira e foi substituído por José Maurício Nunes Garcia, sem dúvida o maior e o mais importante músico a ocupar o cargo. Não obstante, o Rio tivera mestres de capela desde bem antes de sua elevação a capital do Brasil, em 1763, e os documentos da Chancelaria da Ordem de Cristo, agora conservados na Torre do Tombo em Lisboa, dão-nos alguns poucos outros nomes, mas principalmente uma noção da dinâmica da vida musical eclesiástica no período colonial.

A Igreja Católica, ao propagar a fé cristã e a conversão das populações indígenas e ribeirinhas da região amazônica, (re)produziu suas ideologias na forma de escritos, as quais também estão presentes nas narrativas orais. Neste artigo, cujo aporte teórico está vinculado aos estudos Pós-coloniais e ao pensamento Decolonial, a partir da articulação das diferenças entre o real e o imaginário, salvação e pecado, deseja-se responder a seguinte questão: a que formação ideológica e formas de educar estaria ligado o “Mito da Capela de Ouro”, na região do médio amazonas paraense? Para tanto, nesta pesquisa baseada em fontes bibliográficas e documentais, foram investigados diários de viagens de missionários à região Amazônica, especialmente à região do rio Trombetas, impressos e manuscritos publicados por igrejas e pelo Conselho Nacional de Proteção ao índio (CNPI), no século XX. Os dados apontam que o “Mito da Capela de Ouro” decorre de uma tentativa de colonização do imaginário das populações nativas da região, tendo em vista que o mundo sobrenatural cristão era inteiramente oposto ao mundo sobrenatural indígena e ribeirinho, relacionado naquele contexto à demonização.

RESUMO A Capela de São Miguel Arcanjo, localizada na zona leste da cidade de São Paulo, apesar de reconhecida por sua peculiar arquitetura em taipa de pilão, teve sua decoração sempre tratada de forma secundária. Em 2007, tal questão passou a ganhar maior destaque em razão das pinturas parietais descobertas durantes os trabalhos de restauro então realizados. A urgência de estudar essas pinturas para orientar um plano de conservação e preservação, contudo, resultou em estudos pouco aprofundados, privilegiando uma visão formalista e eurocêntrica das artes produzidas durante o período colonial. Desse modo, o presente artigo, que se apresenta como um recorte da dissertação de mestrado da autora, busca apresentar uma abordagem não eurocêntrica ao analisar as diversas trocas culturais ocorridas naquele contexto histórico-cultural local e global, ao se basear em documentação primária.

14055 Background: COX-2 is overexpressed during cancer progression in several solid tumors, including P and BT, and constitutes an attractive therapeutic target. Selective COX-2 inhibitors, such as celecoxib, have been successfully combined with fluoropyrimidine-based regimens, resulting in a lower-than-expected hematologic, GI, and skin toxicity rate. Methods: Advanced P or BT patients (pts), progressing after first-line treatment, were eligible for the study. Capecitabine was administered at 1000 mg/m2 b.i.d. on days 1–14 q3 weeks; celecoxib was administered at 200 mg b.i.d. continuously starting on day 1. PFS was the primary endpoint. ORR, toxicity, OS, clinical benefit (CB), and QoL were secondary endpoints. Assuming that a rate of PFS >15% at 3 mos would be considered of interest in this pt population, an accrual of 28 pts was planned according to the exact single-stage phase II design described by A’Herne. Results: To date, 25 pts have been accrued (M/F: 11/14; median age: 64 yrs, range 39–75; P/BT: 18/7; PS 0–1/2–3: 19/6). All pts completed at least 1 treatment cycle (median: 3, range 1–9). Twenty-three pts are currently evaluable for response: 1 PR and 1 MR (duration: 33 and 27+ wks) were observed, both in pts with P; 5 additional pts showed SD (duration: 10+, 21, 22+, 27, and 42 wks); the remaining 16 pts had PD. All pts and 83 cycles are evaluable for toxicity. Hematological toxicity was negligible; only 4 pts experienced G3 non-hematological toxicities: diarrhea (2 pts, 2 cycles), skin toxicity (1 pt, resolved with treatment delay), asthenia (1 pt, 2 cycles), and GI bleeding (1 pt, requiring treatment interruption after cycle 1). To date, 19 pts have progressed and 15 pts have died: median PFS is 11 wks (range 3–42) and median OS is 16 wks (range 4–54). Nineteen pts had elevated CA19.9 serum levels at baseline, which decreased of > 25% during treatment in 7 pts, remained stable in 3 pts, and increased in 9 pts. The evaluation of CB and QoL is ongoing. Conclusions: CapCel is a feasible and well-tolerated, fully oral, treatment regimen for advanced P and BT patients, which shows activity, albeit modest, even in a second-line setting. Further evaluation of this therapeutic strategy is warranted. No significant financial relationships to disclose.
