Abstract:

<p>Este proyecto es a la vez un ejercicio de concentración funcional y estructural. La distancia que queda entre un ducto regular interior y un ducto irregular exterior, cuya figura y superficie máxima está condicionada legalmente, se ocupa con las divisiones livianas que fueron necesarias para desplegar un extenso programa de una familia de cuatro hijos (cinco dormitorios, tres baños, estar familiar, estudio, etc.). Este programa se concentra en un prisma unitario de tres plantas que ocupa el punto más elevado del terreno de manera de superar visualmente la masa de árboles nativos que ocupan su zona baja. Los dormitorios están disgregados entre el primer y tercer piso. El piso intermedio, que funciona como un podio nivelado con el acceso natural al terreno, se ocupa con las actividades sociales y de reunión.</p>

Dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat para pemuda atau pelajar membutuhkan suasana lingkungan yang kondusif dan nyaman dari penyalahgunaan narkoba, oleh karena itu penanggulangan narkoba menjadi tanggung jawab bersama dimulai dari keluaraga, kemudian masyarakat dan pemerintah. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan mampu memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat di kabupaten karo tentang bahaya yangdiderita akibat penyalahgunaan narkoba , jenis jenis dan macam-macam narkotika serta bagaimana cara menanggulanginya. Metode yangdigunakan dalam menanggulangi narkoba adalah memberikan presentasi pemahaman yang benar tentang narkoba serta adanya diskusi tanya jawab seputar jenis jenis narkoba, bahayanya dan langkah langkah yang efektif agar masyarakat di Kabupaten Karo dapat menanggulanginya terlebih dahulu harus dimulai dari pribadi masing-masing keluarga, kemudian masyarakat dan pemerintah.

Abstract:

On the basis of the theory about blind separation of monaural speech based on computational auditory scene analysis (CASA), a two-talker speech separation system combining CASA and speaker recognition was proposed to separate speech from other speech interferences in this paper. First, a tandem algorithm is used to organize voiced speech, then based on the clustering of gammatone frequency cepstral coefficients (GFCCs), an object function is established to recognize the speaker, and the best group is achieved through exhaustive search or beam search, so that voiced speech is organized sequentially. Second, unvoiced segments are generated by estimating onset/offset, and then unvoiced–voiced (U–V) segments and unvoiced–unvoiced (U–U) segments are separated respectively. The U–V segments are managed via the binary mask of the separated voiced speech, while the U–V segments are separated evenly. So far the unvoiced segments are separated. The simulation and performance evaluation verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

In the 1990s and 2000s, the rise (and the real influence) of mass home ownership rhetoric was wound up with the massive impacts that privatisation and government reorganisation processes had in the field of housing policies. On the one hand, with the generalisation of negotiation as a key principle in the promotion and governance of urban change, the supply of housing for populations groups considered ‘excluded from the market' was relegated to old and new players in the social economy and to their role in contracted schemes of urban change. On the other hand, with the emergence and spread of social mixité rhetoric, new urban development was accompanied by a new emphasis on the broader urban and social aspects of urban development for residential use.

Abstract:

Neoplastic lesions are common in African hedgehogs (Atelerix albiventris). To our knowledge, so far mast cell tumour metastases have only been described in local lymph nodes. An African hedgehog was referred to the veterinary clinic. A nodule was located on the right part of the mandible. Based on the clinical trial, an abscess was suspected. Surgery was performed, but a histopathological examination was not undertaken. After few months, tumour recurrence was detected and, additionally, a second tumour was found on the metatarsal skin. Due to the deteriorating clinical condition of the patient, euthanasia was decided, and a post-mortem examination was performed. During the post-mortem examination, a spleen tumour was detected, and, furthermore, mesenteric lymph nodes, liver and lung sections were also collected. The histopathological examination confirmed mast cell tumour metastasis to the spleen and lymph nodes, additionally single mast cells were found in the liver. Interestingly, the histological picture of the tumour does not show high malignancy. To our knowledge, this is the first description of a mast cell tumour with metastases to the spleen and lymph in the African hedgehog.

A espécie Passiflora cincinnata Mast. é silvestre, não-comercial, conhecida popularmente como maracujá-do-mato. Pode ser aproveitada como planta ornamental ou medicinal, além de ser comestível e ser considerada potencialmente importante para uso como porta-enxerto. O trabalho foi realizado no Departamento de Botânica, Instituto de Biociências da Unesp, Câmpus de Botucatu-SP, e objetivou avaliar o efeito dos reguladores vegetais GA4+7 + N-(fenilmetil)-aminopurina na germinação de sementes, emergência e desenvolvimento de plântulas de P. cincinnata Mast.. As sementes foram obtidas junto à Embrapa Semi-Árido a partir de plantas cultivadas no Campo Experimental da Caatinga, Petrolina-PE. Foram realizados dois experimentos, sendo o primeiro em laboratório, para estudo da germinação, e o segundo em casa de vegetação, para estudo da emergência e desenvolvimento das plântulas. Em ambos os experimentos, foi utilizado o delineamento experimental inteiramente casualizado, cada um com 11 tratamentos de diferentes concentrações de GA4+7 + N-(fenilmetil)-aminopurina (zero; 100; 200; 300; 400; 500; 600; 700; 800; 900 e 1.000 mg L-1) e cinco repetições cada. Para análise dos dados, foram utilizadas análise de variância e análise de regressão. Com base nos resultados obtidos, concluiu-se que os reguladores vegetais, G A4+7 + N-(fenilmetil)-aminopurina, incrementaram o processo germinativo, bem como a emergência e o desenvolvimento de plântulas de P. cincinnata Mast..

[Title: The Ways of Influencing the People of NICA to Understand at Physical Revolution for Balinese People in Bali 1945-1950] Giving up without the conditions of Lieutenant General H. Ter Pooerten (Commander of the Dutch East Indies) to Lieutenant General Hitosyi Imamura (Japanese Army Chief), then the Dutch East Indies government has since ended in Indonesia. Not a long time ago Japan ruled in Indonesia, on August 15th, 1945 surrendered unconditionally to the allies. Then on March 2nd, 1946 the Y Brigade began landed along the Sanur coast. This Y Brigade is nicknamed "Gajah Merah". The arrival of the Gajah Merah in Bali, the situation became unsafe. The arrival of the Dutch (NICA) received resistance from fighters in Bali under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel I Gusti Ngurah Rai. Sympathy getting from the Dutch people use various ways of influencing. The Dutch (NICA) influences the people in two ways, namely by means of soft and violent methods. In the soft way the Dutch (NICA) gave material to the people such as: giving cigarettes, snacks, money, batik cloth, rice and traveling by car. In providing soft assistance the Dutch also use their accomplices such as: NICA Gandek, AP and others. The Netherlands (NICA) in this case looks good and generous to the people so they get sympathy. Generally, it is influenced by the Dutch, whose economies are poor and whose education is low. By means of violence, the Dutch deliberately exhibited fighters who were captured by the public such as being kicked, beaten, dragged by car, and shot in front of the people. This method is carried out to regions that are pro-republic so that people become deterred and afraid. In this way the Dutch (NICA) hopes that the people will no longer want to help the fighters. To fall on the mentality of the Dutch people (NICA) deliberately stripped their hands or soldiers who were killed in a war that was paraded around the city by using an open truck that was rumored to be a young man who was killed. The mothers and fathers who were provoked by the Dutch propaganda, his soul was shaken. This is the way the Dutch influenced the Balinese people, however, the Balinese people and fighters were not deterred. Evidently the people and fighters remain united so that the physical revolution that took place in Bali can last long enough.

El presente artículo propone el estudio de La casa grande de Álvaro Cepeda Samudio como novela del Boom más que como novela de la violencia. El autor se apoya en el hecho de que la obra habla de la época de la matanza de las Bananeras (1928), periodo anterior al llamado de la violencia y en que varios elementos de escritura de la novela anuncian el arribo del Boom (personajes innominados, diversos narradores, mezcla de géneros, abundancia de documentos). Tales elementos anteriores son propios del "modernism" norteamericano y anglo-europeo que el Boom adopta y adapta a la situación histórica colombiana y a una visión más compleja del fenómeno socio-histórico-sicológico de varias violencias, las cuales actúan como eco de la labor del historiador que trate de explicar el fenómeno de las Bananeras. Abstract: This article proposes to study Álvaro Cepeda Samudio's novel La casa grande, as a product of the literary Boom instead of a Colombian novel of violence as it has been considered so far. The novel´s historical background does not strictly comprehend the so called Period of Violence but a previous one: the mass killings at the banana plantations in 1928. Another characteristic of this novel is its display of a narrative technique that announces the Boom when this movement adopts and adapts North American and Anglo European Modernism to the Colombian historical situation to offer a more complex view of the social, historical and psychological phenomena of several instances of violence. The fragmented technique of the novel, the various unnamed characters, the collage of legal documents, of other genres such as drama, and other experimental techniques, all of these are possibly an echo of the work of the historian trying to account for the massacre at the Bananeras. Edukasi yang diberikan berupa pelatihan mengenai cara memasarkan produk di media social, e-commerce, dan website dengan tepat dan benar. Program lain yang diberikan yaitu dengan asistensi pembuatan akun e-commerce dan digital marketingyang lainnya yang akan digunakan untuk promosi.Platform yang dipilih yaitu media yang memiliki jejaring pengguna besar di Indonesia, yaitu Facebook, Intagram, dan Shopee Food. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalahÂ terbentuknya akun digital marketingseperti Facebook, Instagram, dan juga Shopee Food yang digunakan untuk mempromosikan hasil produksi dari UMKM Roti sehingga dapat meningkatkan pendapatan penjualan hasil produksi, hasil pengabdian ini sangat bermanfaat bagi UMKM Roti untuk mempertahankan usahanya di tengah pandemi COVID-19 saat ini. Sugarcane is cultivated in almost all Brazilian agricultural regions, Brazil being the world's largest producer, which requires breeding programs to create more productive and efficient varieties adapted to each region. In sugarcane breeding programs there is a need, under certain circumstances, to multiply the selected material rapidly. In this scenario, micropropagation appears as an alternative to the conventional process of vegetative propagation through stalks. The objective of this review was to describe the scenario on micropropagation research in sugarcane, such as meristem culture, sugarcane calli, somatic embryogenesis, in vitro germplasm conservation and cryopreservation. It has been observed in the literature that there is a wide spectrum of use for the numerous and well established protocols for the in vitro manipulation of sugarcane morphogenesis. The prospect of producing new features via induction of somaclonal variation and in vitro experimentation for pest and disease tolerance has not yet been extensively explored. While benefits of minimal growth are recognized in in vitro germplasm conservation of elite sugarcane cultivars, and all positive potential of this technique and cryopreservation may still 323 Colloquium Agrariae, vol. 13, n. La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar el efecto del nivel de humedad sobre el comportamiento fisiológico de diferentes gramíneas forrajeras. El experimento se realizó bajo condiciones de casa de malla en el Centro de Investigación Turipaná de Corpoica, (Cereté, Córdoba). Se utilizó un diseño de bloques completos al azar con 14 genotipos y tres (3) repeticiones. Se utilizaron tres regímenes de humedad, a manera de localidades dentro de la misma casa de malla. Analisis dengan triangulasi dan tematik analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nenek mampu untuk membangun proses interaksi yang berlangsung terus menerus kepada cucunya tentang pencegahan Covid-19. Diperlukan kerja sama antara semua pihak baik dari nenek pengasuh, orang tua dari anak, tenaga kesehatan dan semua pihak agar pencegahan terhadap penularan Covid-19 efektif baik kepada anak-anak.

El presente trabajo estudia el crecimiento de las capas de nitruros de hierro generadas por el proceso de nitruración en polvo, sobre la superficie de un hierro puro Armco. El tratamiento termoquímico de nitruración en polvo consiste en un polvo rico en nitrógeno (CaCN2), con el que se cubren las piezas que se desean endurecer empleando la técnica de empaquetamiento en caja. Las variables utilizadas en este estudio fueron: cuatro valores de temperatura (773, 798, 823 y 848 K) con cinco tiempos de tratamiento (2, 4, 6, 8 y 12 h) y tres relaciones activador/polvo rico en nitrógeno (0.20, 0.25 y 0.35). Empleando las ecuaciones de balance de masa en las interfaces de crecimiento ɛ-Fe2N1- y/γ´-Fe4N1-x y γ´-Fe4N1-x/Fe, se determinó la movilidad del boro en la superficie del substrato (Dt:-Fe2N1-y y Dy'-Fe4N1-x ), considerando la influencia de los tiempos de incubación para cada fase de crecimiento (tt:-Fe2N1-y y ty'-Fe4N1-x). Para validar el modelo de difusión propuesto, el valor simulado para los espesores de las capas ɛ-Fe2N1-y y γ´-Fe4N1-x se comparó con un valor experimental respectivamente. La morfología de las capa fue observada a través de Microscopía Electrónica de Barrido (SEM) y Microscopía Óptica. Las fases ɛ-Fe2N1-y y γ´-Fe4N1-x fueron identificadas por el método de difracción de rayos X.

Beberapa langkah dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan yaitu tahap persiapan, tahapan pelaksanaan, pembuatan artikel pengabdian, dan tahap evaluasi penerapan kegiatan ini dilakukan secara kolaborasi antara Dosen STIKES Dharma Landbouw Padang dan mahasiswa. Kegiatan dilakukan kunjungan secara terbatas ke rumah sakit, dikarenakan pada masa pandemi. Tim pengabdi tetap menggunakan protokol kesehatan dalam melakukan penyuluhan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian di RSIA Mutiara Bunda Padang sudah berjalan dengan baik. Meskipun pada masa pandemi tetapi hal ini tidak menjadi batasan dalam melakukan penyuluhan dan sosialisasi. Hal ini juga dibuktikan dengan alur yang ada di rumah sakit sudah sesuai dengan aturan dan pedoman yang berlaku.

Abstract Mast cells are known for their involvement in many distinct pathological conditions, suggesting that mast cells recognize and respond to various stimuli and thus require a rich cell surface protein repertoire. Mast cell surface proteomes have not been comprehensively characterized. In this study, we aimed to further characterize the mast cell surface proteome to obtain a better understanding of how mast cells function in health and disease. We enriched for glycosylated surface proteins expressed in murine bone marrow-derived mast cells (BMCMCs) and identified them using mass spectrometry analysis. This approach resulted in the identification of 1270 proteins in BMCMCs, 403 of which were localized to the plasma membrane. The most common protein classes among plasma membrane proteins are represented by small GTPases, receptors and transporters. Novel surface proteins in mast cells was validated by qPCR and flow cytometry analysis in BMCMCs and peritoneal mast cells (PMCs). Among the novel surface proteins, we found that CD98 heavy chain (CD98hc) encoded by the Slc3a2 gene, was highly expressed in mast cells. Slc3a2 gene disruption by CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing resulted in a significant reduction in CD98hc expression, mast cell degranulation, adhesion and proliferation. Our study indicates that we can use glycoprotein enrichment coupled with mass spectrometry to identify novel surface molecules in mast cells. Moreover, we found that CD98hc plays an important role in mast cell function.

Digoxin is a cardiotonic glycoside that is traditionally used for the treatment of heart failure and atrial fibrillation in humans and animals. However, the use of digoxin is still a challenge in clinical practice due to its narrow therapeutic range and its potential interaction with several drugs, which could facilitate the development of toxicity. A 12-year-old Labrador retriever was referred with a clinical diagnosis of heart failure and atrial fibrillation, anorexia, vomiting, and diarrhea. He had been medicated with digoxin, furosemide, lisinopril, and amiodarone. The patient also showed clinical signs of hip osteoarthritis and received firocoxib for four days. He additionally received drugs for gastrointeritis. The electrocardiogram demonstrated atrial fibrillation and signs of digitalis toxicity. Laboratory examination showed a high concentration of plasma digoxin, and 5 days after withdrawal of the drugs, the symptoms disappeared, as did the digitalis effects seen in the previous electrocardiogram.

This type of research is survey research with a quantitative approach. The subjects is 36 students of Wahid Hayim JHS in grades 7, 8 and 9 for 2021/2022 academic year with using simple random sampling technique. The instrument in this study was questionnaire way of learning which adopted from the questionnaire way of learning in the thesis title The Effect of Learning Mathematics on Mathematics Learning Achievement in Grade IV Elementary Schools throughout the Imam Bonjol Cluster, Purbalingga District by Rofiqoh Nur Rokhmah which was valid and reliable. The questionnaire was distributed in the google form. The data of a database of students' midterm semester scores as well as research instruments. Analysis of the data is use descriptive statistical analysis and simple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the way of learning does not affect the learning outcomes achieved by students. Abstrak Pendidikan dimasa pandemi ini merupakan tantangan semua pihak. Siswa dituntut mendapatkan hasil belajar yang tetap bagus selama pembelajaran daring. Upaya siswa dalam mencapai hasil belajar tersebut dengan menerapkan cara belajar masing-masing yang sesuai dengan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh cara belajar siswa SMP terhadap hasil belajar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survey dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 36 siswa SMP Wahid Hayim kelas 7,8 dan 9 tahun ajaran 2021/2022 dengan sampel diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa angket cara belajar yang diadopsi dari angket cara belajar di skripsi Pengaruh Cara Belajar Matematika Terhadap Prestasi Belajar Matematika Kelas IV SD Se-Gugus Imam Bonjol Kecamatan Purbalingga oleh Rofiqoh Nur Rokhmah yang telah valid dan reliabel. Angket tersebut disebar dalam bentuk google form. Data berupa database nilai UTS siswa juga instrumen penelitian. Analisis datanya berupa analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Clifford Nass and his colleagues proposed the Computers Are Social Actors (CASA) paradigm in the 1990s and demonstrated that we treat computers in some of the ways we treat humans. To account for technological advances and to refine explanations for CASA results, this paper proposes the Media Are Social Actors (MASA) paradigm. We begin by distinguishing the roles of primary and secondary cues in evoking medium-as-social-actor presence and social responses. We then discuss the roles of individual differences and contextual factors in these responses and identify mindless and mindful anthropomorphism as two major complementary mechanisms for understanding MASA phenomena. Based on evolutionary psychology explanations for socialness, we conclude with nine formal propositions and suggestions for future research to test and apply MASA.

O crescimento populacional nos seus territórios periféricos aumentava assim exponencialmente, em particular no limite norte, com um enorme impacto nos fluxos de tráfego pendular e na especulação imobiliária, afetando uma classe média emergente, ignorada pelo Estado, explorada e orientada para a economia de mercado. Á margem das narrativas da alta cultura, estes lugares encarnaram a imagem dos maiores males da ortodoxia do urbanismo moderno: o carácter anónimo da vida (sub)urbana, da habitação em massa e da autoestrada. O seu estudo tem sido ignorado e, consequentemente, uma parte importante do tecido da cidade. Recorrendo a material de arquivo não publicado, filmes e notícias de época, este artigo reconstrói a história do conjunto urbano da Quinta das Lavadeiras na Calçada de Carriche, a porta norte de Lisboa, desenvolvido durante os anos 1960 por promotores privados. O cruzamento da informação relativa ao projeto, sua construção e respetivo impacto na paisagem, na sua condição intermédia, entre o rural e a fé no progresso urbano, entre centro e subúrbio, entre classes sociais, permite uma reflexão crítica sobre o divórcio entre o debate teórico e a construção de uma contra-arquitetura promovida por empresas de construção que atuaram nestes territórios expectantes, definindo-os.

ABSTRAK Posyandu sudah menjadi kebutuhan masyarakat saat ini maupun di masa yang akan datang. Kader Posyandu adalah anggota masyarakat yang mau bekerja secara sukarela dan mau meluangkan waktunya untuk melaksanakan kegiatan. Kader dituntut memiliki pengetahuan khususnya mengenai kesehatan dan juga tentunya pengetahuan umum. Untuk mencegah terjadinya resistensi antibiotik pada masyarakat di Kelurahan Jawa, maka Kader Posyandu seharusnya dibekali dengan berbagai pengetahuan khususnya pengetahuan tentang cara penggunaan antibiotik yang baik dan benar. Metode kegiatan yang dilakukan berupa metode CBIA (Cara Belajar Insan Aktif). Metode CBIA tentang cara penggunaan antibiotik yang baik dan benar serta bahaya resistensi antibiotik dilakukan dengan cara mengelompokkan ibu-ibu dengan anggota 5-10 orang tiap kelompok. Berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan responden dengan kategori baik meningkat menjadi 86%. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa edukasi penggunaan antibiotika dengan metode CBIA sangat efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai penggunaan antibiotika yang baik dan benar. Saran bagi program kemitraan selanjutnya adalah penjelasan mengenai golongan obat lain yang penting untuk diketahui masyarakat.

Abstract:

Since March 2020, Indonesian has become one of the countries on the list of the spread of the Covid-19 virus pandemic. This has an impact on the education sector. Elementary school age children are one of the age groups that are vulnerable to the Covid-19 virus and Indonesia in of the countries with the highest child Covid-19 death rate in the world. The year 2022 is known as the normal area. The Ministry of Education and Culture gives regional authority to hold limited face-to-face meetings while continuing to carry out health protocols. One of health protocols implemented is wearing a mask. Health education that is often done is wearing the right mask, but for education what do and don’t while wearing mask, removing the mask and disposing of the mask properly is still rarely done. The use of masks and proper treatment of mask contribute to breaking the chain of the spread of the Covid-19 Virus. This activity aims to provide education on the importance of mask management, mask removal, and mask disposal. The method used is counseling and joint simulation. Abstract:

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar el efecto del nivel de humedad sobre el comportamiento fisiológico de diferentes gramíneas forrajeras. El experimento se realizó bajo condiciones de casa de malla en el Centro de Investigación Turipaná de Corpoica, (Cereté, Córdoba). Se utilizó un diseño de bloques completos al azar con 14 genotipos y tres (3) repeticiones. Se utilizaron tres regímenes de humedad, a manera de localidades dentro de la misma casa de malla. Dentro de las variables en estudio se encontraron: fotosíntesis neta, transpiración, conductancia estomática, potencial hídrico foliar, masa seca de hoja, área foliar, entre otras. Sólo las variables área foliar y potencial hídrico foliar presentaron interacciones significativas entre los factores Genotipo y Ambiente de humedad, mientras que el resto de variables, generalmente fueron afectadas por los factores principales (p<0.05). Los genotipos Bisset, Colosuana y Strikcland generaron la interacción para área foliar al presentar valores altos en condiciones de alta y media humedad. En el nivel de humedad bajo, las 14 gramíneas forrajeras presentaron los potenciales hídricos foliares más negativos. En este nivel se obtuvieron también los menores valores de conductancia estomática y transpiración y las menores acumulaciones de materia seca en todos los órganos, principalmente las hojas. BR02/1752 presentó la mayor acumulación de materia seca en las hojas (32,67 g/planta-1), seguido de CIAT16051 (27,78 g/planta-1). Se concluye que el comportamiento fisiológico de las pasturas está determinado por las características genéticas y por el régimen de humedad implementado, y no por su interacción.

Abstract One classic means of assessing variation in avian foraging success and provisioning effort, counting the number of trips to the nest, assumes that parents bring equal amounts of food during each trip. We tested this assumption in male House Finches (Carpodacus mexicanus) by using video cameras to record both the number of nest visits and the mass of food delivered as measured by an electronic balance. We compared the number of feeding visits and mass of food delivered at each of three stages in the nest cycle: incubation, young nestlings, and older nestlings. The number of provisioning trips was significantly correlated with the mass of food provided by a male to his mate or to their offspring during each stage of the nesting cycle. Furthermore, this correlation became stronger as the breeding cycle progressed. These observations support the assumption that, for this species and perhaps others that carry food in their crop, the number of provisioning visits to the nest is a reasonable predictor of the mass of food provided. El Número de las Visitas del Aprovisionamiento de Carpodacus mexicanus Predice la Masa del Alimento Entregada Resumen. Un método clásico para establecer la variación en el éxito de forrajeo y esfuerzo de aprovisionamiento en aves, que consiste en contar el número de viajes hacia el nido, asume que los padres llevan igual cantidad de alimento durante cada viaje. Probamos este supuesto en machos de Carpodacus mexicanus mediante cámaras de video que registraron tanto el número de visitas al nido como el peso del alimento entregado, este último medido mediante una balanza electrónica. Comparamos el número de visitas al nido y el peso del alimento entregado en cada uno de los tres estados del ciclo de nidificación: incubación, pichones jóvenes y pichones tardíos. El número de viajes de aprovisionamiento se correlacionó positivamente con el peso del alimento provisto por un macho a su pareja o a su progenie en cada estado del ciclo de nidificación. Además, esta correlación se hizo más fuerte a medida que el ciclo de nidificación progresó. Estas observaciones apoyan el supuesto que, al menos para esta especie y otras que transportan alimento en el buche, el número de visitas de aprovisionamiento al nido predice razonablemente bien la masa de alimento provista.
