In search of solution to the harmful ecological problems due to toxicity and non-biodegradability posed by conventional transformer insulation oil (mineral oil), the production of transformer oil from castor seed oil (vegetable oil) was carried out. The oil was extracted using N-hexane and was refined. The transformer oil was produced by trans-esterification and was characterized using American Society for Testing Material (ASTM) standard test. The solvent employed gave good yield of oil from the seeds. The results of characterization show that the density 0.987 (g ml–1), viscosity7

These can be utilized by extracting oil from them for the use of fuel to compression ignition engines. Also, the vegetables cut waste and fruits waste are also not utilized and disposed as garbage. These wastes can be converted into biobutanol and can be used as fuel for compression ignition engines. This study is to replace diesel fuel by blending biobutanol with castor oil, amla seed oil, and jamun seed oil without and with modification of

Petroleum fuel is one of the fuels that is always used in combustion motors, especially in diesel engines so that abiotic natural resources are limited. Petroleum makes natural resources depleted, while transportation facilities and industrial activities are declining. One of them, the use of diesel, which is an abiotic natural resource that continuously in the transportation sector will one day run out, so the thing that needs to be considered is the alternative fuel that can be made, namely biodiesel. Biodiesel is a renewable fuel and is generally made from biological sources (vegetable and

This study aims to analyze the performance of four-stroke diesel engines using multifeedstock biodiesel fuel (palm oil, candlenut oil, and castor seed oil). The three raw materials will be combined and will be mixed with pertamina dex, so that it becomes B20, B35, and B100. Experiments were carried out with engine speed variations of 900, 950, 1000, 1050 rpm and loading variations of 1000 watts, 2000, watts, and 3000 watts. The results showed that the use of multifeed-stock biodiesel B20, B35, and B100 affected the performance of the engine produced. Power and torque values tend to increase wh

Abstract:
Essential oils obtained by hydrodistillation of purple and white flowered Vitex agnus-castus (Lamiaceae) from Hatay (Türkiye), were analyzed by GC/MS. The total ratio of 53 components in Vitex agnus-castus volatile components with purple flowers is 99.87%. This ratio is seen as 43 components and 98.86% in white-flowered Vitex agnus-castus. Eucalyptol, sabinene, α-pinene, α-terpinyl acetate and trans-caryophyllene were identified as the main components of the essential oils of Vitex agnus-castus with purple and white flowers. In the essential oils of purple flowering Vitex agnus-castus, the hig
