Abstract:
In recent years the phrase nano has become popular in several fields. It is a catch phrase for obtaining research funding, a hot topic for holding seminars and symposia. The popularity can be gauged from the fact that several consumer products, which include a car,use the phrase nano. However, promising and hoping for good results is one thing and achieving them is another. Several projects failed as these promises could not be kept and hopes dashed.

Abstract Gerard Manley Hopkins distinguished and approved “sequences of feeling and phrase” in his friend Robert Bridges’s sonnets. A close reading of “The Windhover” reveals Hopkins’s own use of these sequences with a remarkable shift between the octave, developed by a series of adverbial and adjectival participial and prepositional phrases, and the sestet which proceeds as a series of declarative-exclamatory statements. The first half of the sonnet follows the kestrel’s flight as it “hovers” (hence its name) into a fixed position either by beating its wings (“hurl”) or by sitting still (“gli

Abstract ‘Sound Processing’ is an excellent catch-all phrase. Once the signal has entered the recording chain, and before it reaches the final medium—the Compact Disc, record, cassette, or whatever—virtually everything that happens to it can be described as ‘sound processing’. Even level control is a form of processing. But, fundamentally, we are concerned here with techniques of altering the sound’s character. This can be done in a number of ways, and the primary techniques to consider are those involving the frequency spectrum, dynamics and time and spatial localization.

Abstract The advent of new technology in the non-metallic corrosion resistant masonry market gave birth to the term "polymer concrete". This term or "catch phrase" was very easy to market since the Portland cement and Redi-mix concrete industry had already coined the phrase by introducing additives such as epoxies, latex and acrylics to Portland cement. This in turn helped accelerate the curing process and increased strengths and density for their end products. However, in the world of corrosion resistance, the term "polymer concrete" is often a misnomer. For use in severe corrosion environmen

These systems use rectifiers and rectifiers can breakdown. A well maintained rectifier provides uninterrupted cathodic protection, reduces repair costs and labor/technician time.
