Resumen Introducción: la fístula anal se define como un trayecto que comunica el interior del canal anal con la piel perianal. Su origen puede ser multifactorial. Su complejidad viene determinado por la relación con la musculatura esfinteriana y factores interpersonales (enfermedad inflamatoria intestinal, síndrome de inmunodeficiencia adquirida, etc.).
