Abstract:
Four monolithic current-mode instrumentation amplifier (in-amp) topologies implemented in a standard 0.25µm complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) process, with positive second-generation current conveyors (CCII+) as building blocks are presented in this paper.  The in-amp topologies are designed to handle biomedical signals, specifically that of the electrocardiogram (ECG). Four types of CCII+ are characterized and realized using a rail-to-rail operational amplifier (op-amp) and different types of current mirrors.  The Op-Amp with Simple Current Mirror exhibits the highest current swing and the lowest power consumption, and is thus chosen as the optimum CCII+ block to be used in all four in-amps.   All current-mode in-amps yield excellent common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) greater than 150dB for a differential gain of 100. The in-amps consume less than 2.5mW of power for a single voltage supply of 2.5V.  However, the 2-Current Conveyor with Op-Amp at the Output (2-CC with Op-Amp) has adjustable output reference voltage and provides the lowest output impedance among the four in-amps.

Abstract:
In this paper, we introduce an implementation of a CCII-based grounded inductance operating in class AB. In order to get tunable characteristics of the design, a translinear CCII configuration is used as a basic block for its high level of controllability. A frequency characterization of the translinear CCII is done. In order to optimize its static and dynamic characteristics, an algorithmic driven methodology is developed ending to the optimal transistor geometries. The optimized CCII has a current bandwidth of 1.28 GHz and a voltage bandwidth of 5.48 GHz. It is applied in the simulated inductance design. We first consider the conventional topology of the grounded inductance based on the generalized impedance converter principle. Making use of the controllable series parasitic resistance at port X in translinear CCII, we design tunable characteristics of the inductance. The effect of current conveyor's nonidealities has been taken into account. A compensation strategy has been presented. It is based on the insertion of a high active CCII-based negative resistance and a very low passive resistance. The compensation strategy does not affect the inductance tuning process. Simulation results show that the proposed inductance can be tuned in the range [0.025 μH; 15.4 μH]. The simulated inductance has been applied in a fully integrated tunable high frequency band pass filter to illustrate the versatility of the circuit. The filter is electrically tunable by controlling the conveyor's bias current.

Abstract:
The realization of the Tow–Thomas (TT) circuit using the Operational Transresistance Amplifier (OTRA) is reviewed. The circuit employs two OTRA, and all passive elements are floating as the original Tow–Thomas circuit. The Current Conveyor (CCII) TT circuits are reviewed next. The progress in the realization of the TT circuit using CCII is demonstrated clearly by summarizing eight different circuits. One of the circuits has the advantage of very high input impedance using all grounded resistors and capacitors. The Differential Voltage Current Conveyor (DVCC) as the active building block in realizing the TT circuit is also considered. Finally, current mode TT circuits using balanced output CCII are summarized. Top Spice (level 49), simulation results using technology SCN 05 feature size 0.5 μm from MOSIS vendor: AGILENT are included to demonstrate the magnitude and phase frequency response of the TT circuits. Additional simulation results for the total power dissipation, total harmonic distortion, intermodulation IM3, input and output referred noise spectral densities are also included for comparison purposes.

Abstract:
In this study, a review of second-generation voltage conveyor (VCII) and current conveyor (CCII) circuits for the conditioning of bio signals and sensors is presented. The CCII is the most known current-mode active block, able to overcome some of the limitations of the classical operational amplifier, which provides an output current instead of a voltage. The VCII is nothing more than the dual of the CCII, and for this reason it enjoys almost all the properties of the CCII but also provides an easy-to-read voltage as an output signal. A broad set of solutions for relevant sensors and biosensors employed in biomedical applications is considered. This ranges from the widespread resistive and capacitive electrochemical biosensors now used in glucose and cholesterol meters and in oximetry to more specific sensors such as ISFETs, SiPMs, and ultrasonic sensors, which are finding increasing applications. This paper also discusses the main benefits of this current-mode approach over the classical voltage-mode approach in the realization of readout circuits that can be used as electronic interfaces for different types of biosensors, including higher circuit simplicity, better low-noise and/or high-speed performance, and lower signal distortion and power consumption.

Abstract:
A five-port general-purpose analog building block, termed as an Operational Floating Current Conveyor (OFCC), is described. The OFCC combines the features of current feedback operational amplifier, second-generation current conveyor and operational floating conveyor. An implementation scheme of the OFCC is described and its terminal operational characteristics are used to yield a working device. The OFCC is then used as a single block to realize the current conveyors (CCII+ and CCII-) as well as the four basic amplifiers (i.e., voltage, current, transconductance, and transresistance amplifiers). The applications of the OFCC are presented and discussed. In the field of the analog filter synthesis, we proposed a new active universal second order filter using OFCC. It has three inputs and one output employing two OFCC, two capacitors and three resistors and can realize lowpass, bandpass, highpass, notch, and all pass filters from the same configuration. The proposed universal filters offer the following advantageous features: using active elements for the same type (OFCC). No requirement for component matching or cancellation constraints, which makes the filter easier to design, orthogonal adjustment of ω0 and Q and the circuits have low sensitivity. The simulation and experimental results are obtained and discussed.

Today thesesystems are replacing the conventional Op-amp in so many applications such as active filters, analog signal processing. Current conveyors are unity gain active building block having high linearity, wide dynamic range and provide higher gain bandwidthThe proposed current conveyors are simulated using TSMC 0.18μm CMOS technology on Advanced Design System and the results are also tabulated for comparison. The main features of these current conveyors are low voltage, less power, high slew rate and wide bandwidth for voltage transfer (Vy to Vx) and current transfer (Ix to Iz) which make them suitable for high frequency and low power applications.

Abstract:
Although the adjoint network theorem preserves all the circuit properties it does not, however, guarantee that the floating property of an element is maintained. In other words, the adjoint of a floating element may not be floating and vice-versa a nonfloating element may have an adjoint floating element as will be explained in this paper. An important and new property of the Nodal Admittance Matrix (NAM) is that it can identify any element as a floating or nonfloating. The four floating basic building blocks including the nullor are tabulated. It is shown that the nullor and the Voltage Mirror (VM)–Current Mirror (CM) pair are self adjoint. The other two floating elements namely Nullator–CM pair and the VM–Norator pair are adjoint to each other. The NAM of the Op Amp family and Current Conveyor (CCII) family are also given. Two examples are given demonstrating the generation of two families of CCII filters from two known two-CCII filter circuits with demonstration of the floatation property in each of the two filters. Although the paper has a tutorial nature it also includes new important results.

Low-power design for portable devices is becoming increasingly crucial in today's environment. This entices researchers to seek for the best solution while minimising compromises with other characteristics like as speed and area. Power consumption is becoming a critical aspect in chip design as the density of transistors on a chip rises in order to meet high performance requirements. Power dissipation is becoming a serious challenge as transistors are being scaled down. In this project I am working upon “Second Generation Voltage Conveyor (VCII)”. VCII is based upon dual concept of CCII block. VCII is a three terminal device. It provides voltage realization atouput port. I am simulating a VCII Block using LTspice.We have used TSMC level 8, 180nm node parameter in our simulation. This block comprises of 2 stages 1st one is current buffer stage and 2nd one is voltage buffer stage. I have performed its DC analysis as current buffer and as a voltage buffer. I have calculated its impedance at all three ports. In this report I will discuss its functionality and and advantage over Op-Amp. and CCII block in detail. In this report I will present the changes I have made, in current buffer stage, and in voltage buffer stage. In the previous simulation I used the current buffer stage with single output, this time I will use the differential current buffer stage and voltage buffer stage. These stage promises much better bandwidth, stability, and low power results in comparision to previous one. I will also implement application using this voltage conveyor. We will simulate the 1st order Low pass, High pass and Band pass active filters, current to voltage converter, voltage to current converter, voltage differentiator, voltage integrator,voltage buffer, current buffer, and perform AC analysis,DC and transient analysis.

Abstract The National Health Start Association (NHSA) Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health Community Care Initiative (AIM CCI) is an initiative that aims to help communities build a clinical–community integration model for addressing preventable maternal morbidity and mortality, particularly among Black and Indigenous women and birthing people. A clinical-community collaborative lead by strong leaders is key to implementing the activities of NHSA AIM CCI. This chapter provides an overview of one community’s efforts to establish such a collaborative, using a co-leadership model to leverage resources to address inequities in maternal morbidity and mortality. We describe the city of New Orleans AIM CCI Collaborative, highlighting some of the unique aspects of their program. We also discuss lessons learned including importance of using a framework, like collective impact, to establish a common goal and data sharing between various local partner organizations.

Abstract If society and the healthcare system are to address the inequities in health outcomes, particularly for rural and BIPOC [Black, Indigenous, and People of Color] women, they must embrace the challenge and train the next generations of family physicians to provide maternal healthcare. To understand family physicians’ potential role to improve pregnancy-related health outcomes, the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) convened a Task Force on Maternal Morbidity and Mortality based on action taken by the AAFP’s policymaking body, the AAFP Congress of Delegates. The AAFP supports dissemination, participation, and use of evidence-based tools, such as the Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) maternity safety bundles, and regularly collaborates with ACOG and other key stakeholders to further this program. AAFP is a partner of the AIM Community Care Initiative (AIM CCI), which focuses on opportunities to prevent maternal morbidity and mortality by making available to community partners, women, and families education and safety bundles for the nonhospital setting.

The spectrum used by Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) allows for a signal with a greater bandwidth by spreading electromagnetic energy. Multi-Carrier CDMA (MC-CDMA) is a telecommunications numerousentrée strategy that spreads each user symbol across the frequency domain with distinct codes. Cognitive Radio (CR) is a vibrant spectrum admittance enabling technology by dynamically allocating space for fundamental users by modifying its settings and base station. Two models for people on the cognitive spectrum are Opportunistic Spectrum Access (OSA) and Concurrent Spectrum Access (CSA). Using Co-Channel Interference (CCI) and Adjacent Channel Interference (ACI), the MC-CDMA system is an effective accessing strategy for multi-user data transmission (ACI). Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) involving Space-Time Transmit Diversity (STTD), Spatial Multiplexing (SM), and collaborative MIMO is used for numerous data communication, and dependable Bit Error Rate (BER) presentation is attained. STBC (Space Time Block Coding) is equipped with two antennas and codes for data transmission across multiple antennas. At the receiver, STBC offers channel state information while maintaining a low level of complexity. The image’s pixels will be shuffled using Arnold’s Cat Map (ACM) encryption method. When compared to other compression methods, Integer Wavelet Transform (IWT) compression is stress-free. The Internet of Things (IoT) is used to examine tracklatency and power stages, STTD MC-CDMA faultoutput utilizing cognitive spectrum, and channel simulated parameterization. The output on fault levels with patient caring using Stanford University Interim (SUI) and Long Term Evolution (LTE) techniques with a Double STTD (DSTTD) assisted MC-CDMA cognitive spectrum system.

Critical infrastructures such as water distribution networks (WDNs) require reliable and affordable information at a reasonable cost to address challenges that can negatively affect their operation. Inadequate knowledge about WDN assets and their state of health presents challenges for essential activities such as network modeling, operation, assessment, and maintenance. This work seeks to increase the availability of WDN asset data through improved interpretability of GPR images. The semi-automatic labeling approach presented here expands upon existing multi-agent image-cleaning methods and feature characterization techniques. The division of a pre-processed image, in the form of a matrix, into a grid of smaller blocks allowed the identification of relevant features using density of nonzero values in the blocks; this approach, conducted manually in this proof of concept, can provide a basis for training an intelligent system (e.g., a convolutional neural network) to extract the families of interest and eliminate noise. Thus, this research expands this methodology to advance towards automatic detection of pipes and leaks and easily visualize the data. In this paper, 3D visualizations of WDN assets have been created to demonstrate the usefulness of this semi-automatic process in delivering easily-interpretable GPR data for managers and operators of WDNs.

Abstract:
The water supply facilities of Korea have achieved a rapid growth, along with the other social infrastructures consisting a city, due to the phenomenon of urbanization according to economic development. However, as an adverse effect of rapid growth, the quantity of aged water supply pipes are increasing rapidly, while pipe aging causes water suspension accidents and the scale of such accidents is getting large. Accordingly, the Ministry of Environment has been promoting the local water distribution system rebuilding project since 2017 to build a block system, pipe network maintenance work, leak management work, etc. Related projects are being promoted. In this study, analyzed the efficiency of the improvement of the revenue water ratio according to the DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) method-based water distribution system rebuilding project, and develop an evaluation model for the water distribution system rebuilding project using the efficiency analysis results.In this study, DEA analysis was performed by selecting 15 local governments that showed cost-effectiveness among 20 local governments that were carrying out the performance evaluation for the 2017 rebuilding project. In this study, DEA analysis was performed considering the number of DMUs secured three times or more than the sum of input and output factors suggested in Banker et al.(1984)’s previous study.The input indicators of this study are the values ​​derived by dividing the block system construction cost, pipe network maintenance cost, leak management cost invested for the local water distribution system rebuilding project from 2017 to 2020 by the lengths of the project target water distribution pipes. As the output indicators, the rate of increase in the revenue water ratio, which was changed according to the input project cost, was applied.In addition, a project cost evaluation model was developed for the improvement of the revenue water ratio by using the optimal efficiency point derived through the efficiency analysis with the effect of improving the revenue water ratio as a calculation index. For model development, multiple regression analysis was performed according to the step-selection method that included only independent variables with high explanatory power that had an influence on the dependent variable in the regression model to develop the model.As such, in this study, the efficiency analysis of local governments performing the local water distribution system rebuilding project was performed, and a project cost evaluation model was developed to improve the revenue water ratio. It is judged that the methodology and development model used in this study can be utilized in the analysis and evaluation of the project efficiency of the additional target area of ​​the local water distribution system rebuilding project in the future.
