AbstractCadmium-sulfide nanocrystals are produced by the colloidal method. Doping with zinc and copper is conducted during nanocrystal growth. The optical absorption and photoluminescence spectra are studied. The maximum concentration of the optically active copper impurity is determined from a shift of the fundamental absorption edge to lower energies. It is shown that the long-wavelength luminescence of CdS and CdS:Zn nanocrystals is defined by optical transitions at donor–acceptor pairs. We investigate a mechanism for the CDSD broadening using a moving-size-grid cloud parcel model that considers the condensational growth of cloud droplets formed on polydisperse, submicrometer aerosols in an adiabatic cloud parcel that undergoes vertical oscillations, such as those due to cloud circulations or turbulence. AbstractObjectiveSince February 2016, French Claeys-Leonetti law has recognized patients' right to confront incurable diseases with short-term prognosis and refractory physical or psychological or existential symptoms by requesting continuous deep sedation until death (CDSUD). Determining when psychological or existential distress is refractory and unbearable remains complex and controversial. This review provides a comprehensive thought on CDSUD for advanced incurable patients with refractory psychological and/or existential distress in palliative care settings. It offers guidance on psychiatr

Abstract:
CdS and CdS:Sn thin films were successfully deposited on glasssubstrates by spray pyrolysis method. The films were grown atsubstrate temperatures 300 C°. The effects of Sn concentration on thestructural and optical properties were studied. The XRD profiles showed that the films are polycrystalline withhexagonal structure grown preferentially along the (002) axis. Theoptical studies exhibit direct allowed transition. Energy band gapvary from 3.2 to 2.7 eV.

Abstract:
Current research is a computational study in which we focus on calculating optical properties of Eu-doped Cadmium Sulfide (CdS) system. We employ Perdew–Burke–Ernzerhof (PBE)–generalized gradient approximation (GGA) for accomplishment of our study and we assume various Eu concentrations (3.12%, 6.25% and 9.37%) for doping into host CdS lattice. We substitute Cd atoms with Eu atoms while supercell size is kept fixed ([Formula: see text]. We present a detailed comparison among optical properties of pure CdS and various Eu concentrations. Partial density of states (PDOS) plots reveal hybridizatio
