Abstract:
The number of Cecilioides species recognised from mainland Portugal has ranged from one to seven over the past 115 years, with successive authors mostly giving little or no justification for the treatment adopted. The present study is based mainly on 40 samples collected from 2001-2014, 22 of them from the Algarve. Immatures show marked interspecific differences in development of the apertural teeth (lamellae) whereas the teeth are much reduced or lacking in mature shells. Shell characters are therefore redescribed based on both immature and mature individuals as a basis for revising

We report on the snail fauna from one of the oldest cemeteries from Riga city (Latvia), viz. Lielie kapi and Pokrova kapi. A list of all the snail species recorded from both cemeteries and limited information on the biotope conditions are given. Cecilioides acicula (O.F. Müller, 1774) is first recorded from Latvia and was found at a grassland within the tomb area of the Pokrova kapi cemetery.

Cecilioides acicula (Müller, 1774), family Ferussaciidae, is native to the Palaearctic region but has been dispersed around the word by human activity. Here, we report the presence of this introduced species in La Plata city, Buenos Aires province, Argentina. This snail is largely subterranean and frequently is found in old graves in association with skeletal remains. Abstract:
The paper brings new information on mollusc distribution of Levice District in southern part of Central Slovakia. The data were obtained from 14 localities, which lie mainly in the vicinity of the Ipeľ River and southern slopes of Štiavnické vrchy Mts. Together 78 mollusc species (50 land species and 28 fresh-water species) were found. From 9 localities a litter sample from 1m² was analyzed for quantitative evaluation of snail assemblages. Malacocoenoses of thermophilous forest mollusc species were determined in the area of Štiavnické vrchy Mts. foothill (localities 2, 7, 8). The species Limac
