Full textShoshana felman has shown the existence of a constitutive link between literature and madness, a relationship which can implicate an ideological orientation. An autofiction which claims to be a praxis of madness, celine's works are a perfect example of her theory. From the critical point of view, the notion of madness refers to a repression of the ideological orientation of celine's works. By another way, the writer himself has not avoided --either by rejecting or by accepting-- aplay on the madness ideology double approach to the literary text. In other words, pathographic reading of celine's works would be inseparable from a process of repression of the basic ideological orientation of his works; the result of the "psy" alibi would be to avoid the critical problem established by political content. In the same way, the manner by which celine accepts (in the post--war interviews) or rejects (in bagatelles pour un massacre) any possibility of a pathological approach to his works is inseparable from an ideological intention, leading to a new questioning of the worth and the ideological weight of a style which claims to value the perceivable over the intelligible and feelings rather than words

Full textThree growth conditions, in vitro, in greenhouse and in vineyards, were used to produce control plants and plants infected with Eutypa lata. Each sample was characterised by the symptom notation, the re-isolation of the fungus located in the lignified parts, and the formal identification of Eutypa lata mycelium by PCR. The characterisation led to the identification of three types of plants: infected and showing symptoms (S+R+), infected and showing no symptoms (S-R+) and healthy (S-R-). Microarray analysis on leaf samples from these plants enabled the following of the transcriptomic expression of 15000 grapevine genes. The comparison between S+R+ and S-R- plants showed that 44% of the genes differentially expressed and common to at least two of the three growth conditions are known to be involved in plant/fungus interaction and that 21% of the over-expressed genes in the plants S+R+ are involved in defense functions. The comparison between S-R+ and S-R- plants, in greenhouse and in vineyards, enabled to identify 17 genes potentially useful for the development of of an early and non-destructive diagnosis tool. The combined analysis of microarray data obtained for the comparisons S+R+/S-R-, S-R+/S-R-, and S+R+/S-R+, in greenhouse and/or in vineyard, led to the identification of genes that may be more specifically associated with the response to infection, or with the absence or presence of symptoms. The expression profiles of several candidate genes were confirmed by RT-PCR and completed by the analyses of leaves from grapevines infected with other fungal pathogens

Full textIn celine's work death represents a central source out of which a certain number of thematic systems start, interfering with one another. The systems are generally bivalent and will lead us now to an ominous shape of death now to a fairy-like one, most of the time to both at once. Whereas hatred and the different aspects of the matter incline towards a morbid side (in the first two parts), the study of locations and characters (in the third and fourth parts) shows they can have a double personality, that is particularly true for the woman, both siring death and life (fith part). Murderous strengths explode with apocalypse, but it is already the way to resurrection (sixth part) which can transfer us to the other world, the " outre-la ", as well as delirium (seventh part). A door is opened then to the enchantment of death (eighth part) - celine's writing is one of the keys of, thanks to the proceeding of " trans- position " which creates " emotion " (ninth part). Thus is painted the face of death in celine's work : a crossing of the horrors of reality to a fairy-like resurrection

Full textThis thesis studies the fonctionning, sources and implications, of the "fantastic" narration in the works of louis-ferdinand celine. Successively treated are also the influence of the esoteric, an experience which most likely dates back to the period between 1910 and 1920, and his contact with certain literary theories of the 1920's, in particular the fantastique social of pierre mac orlan. The central part of this thesis consists in a textual analysis of passages where the celinian narration systematically directs the romanesque text towards the fantastic narration. This is followed by a thematic study of the celinian fantastic which replaces, one by one one or by groups, the elements of celinian fiction in their relation to irrealism

Full textThe french writer louis-ferdinand celine (1894-1962) 's reputation is to a large extent based upon 3 works well know under the name of "pamphlets". These works are : "bagatelles pour un massacre" (1937), "l'ecole des cadavres" (1938), "les beaux draps" (1941). The "celinian" satirical works sum up the decadence of the period when they were published and point out to the persons reponsible for this decadence : the jews. They are prawded with a scathing antisemitism. This antisemitism uses a specific vocabulary which entails prope nouns, substantives, adjectives, verbs and expressions which amounts to 76 various terms. Among these 76 words, some of them belong to the lisked vocabulary of the lexical set of antisemitism ("youpin", "youtre ", "juiverie"), others are part of the blurred area of the vocabulary - agreat nmber being neologisms (ex : "youtriscade", a name given to the universal exhibition of 1937, "youpignolle", a name given to the coming second world war, etc. ) these 76 words are connected with three lexical sets : words referring to human beings (ex : "youpin"), the non-animate objects (ex "youtrin") and the abstract nouns (ex : "enjuivage"). They are used within 3 different contexts, each context being divised into spheres : - the ontological backcloth (related to what the jews are) connected with "physiological" "moral" "irrational" - the factual blackcloth (related to what the jews do) linked with the "political" "social-financial" "cultural-artistic - the intention al background (related to what the jews want) connectedd with the concepts "instigation of the future war" "will to control the world

Full textThis work evokes a certain number of convergences between celine and psycho-analysis. One must not try to find the direct clear influences but show to which "atmosphere" celine was sensitive to. The ultimate purpose of this thesis being to enrich the sensibility analytical with celine's contributions and to propose, in return, a more symbolic reading on the poet's part. Then the readers have read celine as a naturalist: one can point out the expression of a great number of psychanalytic notions: the identification in his medical thesis on semmelweis, the instinct of death in voyage au bout de la nuit, the oedipus guilt in mort a credit. The thesis displays celine's original contribution to the analytic theory: the intuition of the ontopoietic value of phantasmatisation. From the writing point of view, celine's style, far from corresponding to the destruction of language is an art of ellipsis

Full textBy no means should this thesis be considered as an attempt to rehabilitate the ideology that is undouftedly at work in celine's pamphlets. However, while the ethical condemnation of that ideology is evident, the constitution of a polemical corpus as a research object goes beyond any kind of partisan side-taking. This work studies the position and the importance of celine's pamphlets in his work, considering two main parameters. First, is deals with their relationship to the historical context (end of the 30's), and particularly their "documentary" sources, such as extrem-right cells of antisemitic propaganda. This study allows an extension beyond the reduction of those texts to their antisemitic load and or bascist tendencies. If it is out of question ot mask these tendencies, it is necessary to show other aspects, such as the autobiographical dimension, or the discourse on art and litterature. This analysis is followed by a thorough documentary appendix. Second, through a study of the pamphlets' poetics, the influence of that practice upon celine's work as a novelist is studied. This demonstrates, contrary to some preconceived ideas, that the development of celine's work does not solely inherit the pamphlet style

Full textThe adoption of spoken language as the foundation of a literary style involves a rupture with the traditional rules of narration. Just as this spoken style allows the appearance of orality in written discourse, the novel undergoes a number of sudden narrative and discursive transformations, which fragment its course creating the effect of a spontaneous spoken narration. The function of fictional narrative is thus modified. First, telling a story in a direct fashion is no longer the only issue. In addition, the center of gravity of the novel is displaced from the story towards the narrator whose words thus appear to be a living and vital speech. The three sets of works discussed here, all published around 1950 (trois chroniques romanesques by jean giono, feeries i and ii by louis-ferdinand celine, three novels by jean genet), exemplify, each in a different manner, this triple rupturestylistic, narratological, novelistic - and participate in the broader renewal which has characterized contemporary novelistic production

Full textThis work analyses the german trilogy of louis-ferdinand celine : d'un chateau l'autre, nord, rigodon. It studies his vision of french history of the end of the second world war. From an anti-semitic point of view, celine reads it like a story of "victims" and presents himself like a victim of history and of the jews. Out of the world, he criticizes history not only from an anti-semitic vision. To him, history is a nihilistic movement. He mockes modernity's faith but also creates a style of writing that sets up life against the progress of death

Full textAt the beginning of the twentieth century kafka starts writing a picaresque novel, america. Later on other famous modern authors, celine, beckett, gombrowicz and nabokov also publish picaresque novels. All of them are for personal reasons interested in the picaresque hero who remains an half-outsider his lifelong. In the sixteenth and seventeenth century the hypocritical confession of the picaro draws the attention of the reader to the values of the aristocratic class society as well as to controversial questions in the realm of religion. The above mentioned novelists draw the attention of the reader to the social and vultural problems of an age which in many respects has affinities with the age of the baroque. They wonder wich part the artist who refuses any form of didacticism has to play in our technological and pseudo-egalitarian world. America, voyage au bout de la nuit, molloy, malone meurt, trans-atlantique, lolita prove that old patterns and devices can revive. Influenced by schopenhauer and nietzsche the authors face the representation of space, time and hero in a similar way. They are interested in the ideas of von hoffmansthal, mauther and wittgenstein on language and obsesses with its vacuity

Full textThis study aims to analyze the literary work of Emilio Tadini (1927-2002). He has been a celebrated painter, but he also realized a remarkable literary course, which had not been studied at ali, any more. There's a small circle of critics who have focused Tadini's works, recognizing their value, but always in the form of the short essay. This dissertation would like to elaborate a coherent and integral interpretation ofTadini's poetics, which had to be linked to his artistic production and to the different elaborations of his literary inspiration (poetry and theatre). The effectiveness of the "realismo integrale" throughout different literary author's inclinations; the evolution of the allegorie novel scheme, from the structure to the content of his works; the different results of the agonistic confrontation between reality and representation; the original use of irony and comic formulas; the experimentation of a type of writing which tries to speak like a voice : these are the main elements of this study, which propose to place Emilio Tadini's work inside the experimental canon of contemporary ltalian literature suggested by Gianni Turchetta in 1999.Across the analysis of his novels- Le armi 1 'amore (1963), L'Opera (1980), La lunga natte (1987) , La tempesta (1993) and Eccetera (2002) -, the study follows the evolution of a narrative production founded on an original poetical and philosophical reflection, which shows Emilio Tadini as one ofthe most interesting artists and intellectuals of the ltalian XXth century

Full textThe study consider similarities used by pupils when discussing the human cell. In this study teachers are given certain examples on a number of different opinions pupils may have regarding a phenomenon which is of great importance in situations of education. Through interviews a variety of pupils’ opinions has occurred. The categorization of these has then been done by a phenomenographic approach. It resulted in five main categories and a number of sub categories. Altogether the study shows that many pupils use analogies to explain and understand phenomenon. In order to assist and facilitate pupils’ understanding the teachers must show interest in their pupils and the environment in which they exist and eventually grant pupils relevant time to reflections on their analogies.

Full textDisertacija skirta kalbos problemos analizei Paulio Celano (1920-1970) kūryboje. 2. Kitybės sklaidos problema. Apibrėžiama Celano tekstų suvokimo specifika, tekstų orientacija į skaitytoją. Aptariamas „svetimas žodis“ poetiniuose tekstuose, atsižvelgiama į eilėraščio savasties ir svetimybės ryšius jame, „kito“ skaitymo / rašymo, citatos baigtinumo / tęstinumo dviprasmybes, „svetimo žodžio“ poveikį teksto reikšmių kūrimuisi.
This thesis analyses problems of language in the works of Paul Celan (1920-1970). The main theme of thesis is metalanguage and metapoetical reflections of Paul Celans texts. The interpreted writings are selected from the collections of Paul Celan’s poetry: Sprachgitter (1959), Die Niemandsrose (1963), Die Atemwende (1967) and the speech Meridian. This thesis paper raises and discusses two main problems. 1. The problem of subjectivity of poetic language. The relationship between the lyrical subject and his language is analyzed with respect to the ambivalences of voice / writing, consciousness / writing, memory / forgetfulness, identity / difference. The uniqueness of Celan’s concept of language is disclosed by generalizing the problem of language as a poetical reservoir and the problem of a poem as unique poetical act. The figures of poetical language, that enable the transfers of meaning, are analyzed: prosopopoeia, anthropomorphism, catachresis. The surplus of meaning and unavailability of final meaning are also taken into the account. 2. The problem of diffusion of otherness. The specificity of perception of Celan’s works and the orientation towards the reader is determined. “Other texts” in poetical texts are discussed, considering the relationships in poetical work between “self and the other”, the reading / writing of “the other”, the finiteness of quotation / succession of ambiguity, the effect of “other texts” on the process of meaning creation.
