Today,   most traditional method used in the research of immune cells, such as flow   cytometry and microscopy, are based on average values of cell responses.   However, immune cells are heterogeneous and respond differently to a given   stimuli. There is also a risk that important, but rare, behaviors of   individual cells are missed when a larger population of immune cells is   analyzed. Also, flow cytometry and microscopy do not allow long-term survival   of cells; these methods lack the ability to do dynamic long-term analysis of   motile immune cells, i.e. studies of cell-cell interaction

Abstract:
Leishmaniasis is a disease that is caused by obligate intramacrophage protozoa belonging to the genera Leishmania. The major Leishmania species responsible for the condition are L.major, L.infantum, L.chagasi, and L.donovani, including 20 other Leishmania species. The disease is endemic in 60 countries worldwide. This study aims to evaluate the antileishmanial activity of black seed extract of Nigella sativa collected from Kashmir. The extract was prepared by maceration along with the methanol. The antileishmanial activity was evaluated against Leishmania major using MTT (3-(4.5-dimeth

Abstract:
Numerous premature infants subjected to oxidant stress are afflicted with retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). Reactive oxygen species (ROS) and increased products of peroxidation with vasoconstrictor and cytotoxic properties ultimately lead to the degeneration of retinal microvessels. However, synthesis and activity of the vasodilator, nitric oxide (NO), are increased in the newborn. Furthermore, NO has been reported to protect cells, including endothelial cells, against injury associated with excess production of ROS. We thus postulated that NO plays a protective role in the development of oxyg

Abstract:
Fruits and vegetables are known to play an important role in human health due to the range of phytochemicals they contain. Twenty-one peach genotypes and 45 plum genotypes with different flesh and skin color were analyzed for their antioxidant content and antioxidant activity. Anthocyanin content, phenolic content and antioxidant activity were higher in red-flesh than in light-colored flesh peaches. Carotenoid content was higher in yellow-flesh peaches. Among the peaches, the antioxidant activity was well correlated with phenolic content. The anthocyanin content among the plums increased with
