Rainfall simulations were performed for 1 h, right after forest fires. Plots were monitored during and after rainfall events, and catchments were instrumented continuously with water level recorders. Abstract. In the Lusitanian Basin (west-central Portugal), Upper Jurassic (Oxfordian) sediments were investigated in order to identify palaeontological assemblages of charophytes. Systematic studies were undertaken on specimens obtained from four field sections (Pedrógão, Vale de Ventos, Memória and Valverde). These studies revealed the presence of new forms of Porocharaceae (Porochara pedunculata n. sp) and of forms previously unknown in this region (Auerbachichara cf. saidakovskyi), as well as P. raskyae, P. minima, P. fusca, P. sulcata, P. kimmeridgensis, Aclistochara longiformis and Poroch

Abstract Palynofloral assemblages are an invaluable source of information about the interactions between fossil plants and their environments. Here we describe a new Early Cretaceous palynoflora from the Lusitanian Basin in the Estremadura region of central western Portugal. A palynological assemblage of 28 genera and 40 species was extracted from 14 samples collected in the Vale Cortiço clay pit complex near the small village of Ameal (Torres Vedras Municipality). The source is a dark grey mudstone layer belonging to the lower part of the Santa Susana Formation, which is considered to be of e

Abstract:
Space-time tourist behaviour is influenced by numerous factors related both to tourists and the destination. Yet, however complex it may be, understanding and to some extent managing the way tourists move in space and time is crucial to ensuring the quality of their experience, as well as the effective and sustainable management of destinations and attractions. In the rural wine tourism context, studies on space-time behaviour are rare. The present study uses empirical data collected from tourists staying in hotels of the Bairrada Wine Route territory (N = 116), combining a GPS tracking study
