On the basis of 10 selected stations of the meteorological network heat wave episodes for Сentral regions of Ukraine in the summer months June to August in 1961–2015 have been identified. Duration, intensity and temporal variability of heat wave cases are analyzed. It is proved that the heat wave observed at the end of July – the first part of August 2010 was the longest and the most intense nearly for all stations of the Central regions of Ukraine during the research period. Study of parental/meiotic origin of free trisomy 21 in nuclear families from Russia (70 cases), Ukraine (32 cases), and 22 from Germany revealed maternal nondisjunction in 77.3% (Germany), 93.8% (Ukraine), and 91.4% (Russia), paternal origin in 13.6%, 6.2%, and 8.6%, respectively. Distribution of trematodes of the species Dicrocoelium dendriticum (Rudolphi, 1819) Looss, 1899 (Digenea: Dicrocoeliidae) parasitizing cattle (Bos taurus Linnaeus, 1758), sheep (Ovis aries Linnaeus, 1758) and goat (Capra aegagrus hircus Linnaeus, 1758) was studied in the Poltava and Kirovohrad regions of Ukraine. The recorded prevalence of infection is 26.9 % in cattle, 28.42 % in sheep and 24.5 % in goat.
