UN LUOGO DI PELLEGRINAGGIO: UNA PROPOSTA PER LA POSIZIONE ORIGINARIA DELL'ARCA DI SAN CERBONELa sepoltura e la commemorazione dei santi nell'Italia tardomedievale è al momento al centro dell'attenzione degli storici dell'arte. L'Arca di San Cerbone, eseguita nel 1324 dallo scultore senese Goro di Gregorio, è un esempio importante di tali monumenti funebri commemorativi. Nonostante l'Arca si trovi attualmente nel coro di inizio Trecento della cattedrale di Massa Marittima, fino agli anni '50 era collocata sotto l'altare maggiore della cattedrale, posizione per la quale si riteneva fosse stata specificamente eseguita. L'articolo mette in discussione quest'opinione comune. Nel ripercorrere le vicende costruttive del monumento funebre e delle venerate reliquie di San Cerbone, l'articolo dimostra che la collocazione dell'Area al di sotto delPaltare maggiore awenne probabilmente solo negli anni '80 del quindicesimo secolo. L'analisi più dettagliata della stessa Area, insieme a quella della cattedrale e della sua storia costruttiva, indicano che l'Arca era in origine un monumento isolato, situato nella navata settentrionale della cattedrale. Tale posizione avrebbe permesso un piu facile accesso all'imponente monumento funebre da parte dei pellegrini e dei devoti di San Cerbone, e avrebbe inoltre facilitato la comprensione e l'apprezzamento del sofisticato programma di immagini scolpite sull'Arca.

<p><strong>Abstract.</strong> The paper describes the final step of the Baratti in 3D project, aimed at the dissemination of the important archaeological heritage of the Etruscan city of Populonia (Tuscany, Italy). The chain of “data metrical surveying &amp;ndash; 2D and 3D representation &amp;ndash; communication” has been applied on the “Princes's tombs” of the monumental necropolis of San Cerbone and its finds to provide a detailed description of their context, workmanship, morphological characteristics and materials to realize the virtual recreation. The preservation of the finds from the excavations in two different museums far from the archaeological area (the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Firenze and the Museo Archeologico del Territorio di Populonia, in Piombino) makes the understanding of the original context very difficult for visitors. Thus the “Baratti in 3D Project” has been conceived in order to document the tombs, their finds and produce the “virtual match” showing in its entirety the environmental and architectural provenance and material ritual context and in order to display in innovative visual approach this archaeological heritage. To complement the interactive platform, as a physical fallout of this project has been realized “A museum in every sense”, a permanent exhibition in the Museo Archeologico del Territorio di Populonia.</p>

Abstract:
Xenogeneic biomaterials Cerbone® and OsteoBiol® are widely used in oral implantology. In dental practice, xenogeneic biomaterial is usually combined with autologous bone to provide bone volume stability needed for long-term dental implants. Magnesium alloy implants dissolve and form mineral corrosion layer that is directly in contact with bone tissue, allowing deposition of the newly formed bone. CSBD heals by intramembranous ossification and therefore is a convenient model for analyses of ostoconductive and osteoinductive properties of different type of biomaterials. Magnesium alloy-enriched biomaterials have not yet been applied in oral implantology. Therefore, the aim of the current study was to investigate biological properties of potentially new bovine xenogeneic biomaterial enriched with magnesium alloy in a 5 mm CSBD model. Osteoconductive properties of Cerabone®, Cerabone® + Al. bone, and OsteoBiol® were also analyzed. Dynamics of bone healing was followed up on the days 3, 7, 15, 21, and 30. Calvary bone samples were analyzed by micro-CT, and values of the bone morphometric parameters were assessed. Bone samples were further processed for histological and immunohistochemical analyses. Histological observation revealed CSBD closure at day 30 of the given xenogeneic biomaterial groups, with the exception of the control group. TNF-α showed high intensity of expression at the sites of MSC clusters that underwent ossification. Osx was expressed in pre-osteoblasts, which were differentiated into mature osteoblasts and osteocytes. Results of the micro-CT analyses showed linear increase in bone volume of all xenogeneic biomaterial groups and also in the control. The highest average values of bone volume were found for the Cerabone® + Mg group. In addition, less residual biomaterial was estimated in the Cerabone® + Mg group than in the Cerabone® group, indicating its better biodegradation during CSBD healing. Overall, the magnesium alloy xenogeneic biomaterial demonstrated key properties of osteoinduction and biodegradidibility during CSBD healing, which is the reason why it should be recommended for application in clinical practice of oral implantology.

ISSN 0804–4643 The effect of somatostatin on thyroid function was studied in 12 patients with growth hormone (GH)-secreting and eight patients with clinically non-functioning adenomas (NFA) and normal pituitary/ thyroid axis; the patients were subjected to the administration of octreotide (OCT), which is a longacting somatostatin analog. All the patients received an acute test with 100 μg of OCT, both short term (1 month) and long term (6 months), with doses ranging from 300 to 600 μg/day, Serum thyroxine (T4). triiodothyronine (T3), free T4, free T3, thyroglobulin and basal and thyrotropin (TSH)-releasing hormone (TRH)-stimulated TSH were evaluated before and after 1 and 6 months of therapy. Circulating GH and insulin-like growth-factor I (IGF-I) in acromegalics and GH, IGF-I and α-subunit in NFA were assessed at baseline and every month. The acute administration of 100 μg of OCT significantly reduced the TSH response to TRH (p < 0.01) in both acromegalics and NFA. In all the patients OCT administration caused a significant decrease of GH, IGF-I and α-subunit levels (p < 0.01). In addition, after 1 month of therapy both baseline and TRH-induced TSH secretion were decreased significantly in acromegalics and NFA. After 6 months of therapy, baseline and TRH-induced TSH was still reduced in NFA. Conversely, in acromegalics, baseline TSH levels were increased while TSH response to TRH was inhibited. No change of T4, T3, free T4 and free T3 was observed in NFA, whereas a slight but significant increase of T4 and decrease of T3 was recorded in acromegalics. In conclusion, OCT does seem to possess long-term suppressive effects on TSH response to TRH, both in acromegalics and NFA. The lack of basal TSH level inhibition in acromegalics could depend on the restored peripheral conversion of T4 into T3 due to the normalized GH levels during long-term OCT administration. Abstract:
Abstract Metastatic relapse after treatment is the primary cause of cancer morbidity and mortality. While genetic mechanisms of primary tumors and, to a lesser extent, metastatic cancers have been studied in large cohorts, refractory metastatic tumors are not yet sufficiently characterized. Markers of aggressiveness and resistance that molecular profiling can extract from these tumors have yet to be identified and incorporated into clinical care. In this study, we present a pan-cancer cohort of 1,031 metastatic tumors (which we refer to as META-PRISM) that are resistant to at least one systemic therapy or with no approved treatment options. We retrieved the complete clinical history of patients and performed whole-exome (n=571) and transcriptome sequencing (n=947) for this cohort. The prevalence of detected cancer biomarkers was assessed and compared to an external cohort of primary tumors. In the META-PRISM cohort, we observed an increase in (i) whole-genome duplication frequency, (ii) tumor mutational burden, (iii) germline cancer-predisposing variants, and (iv) somatic alterations in cancer genes, including KRAS, EGFR, CCND1, MYC, and TP53, as compared to the tumor type-matched primary tumors. The most extensive increase in genomic variation at metastatic stage was observed in prostate cancer. We also identified enrichment of standard-of-care resistance biomarkers in most cancer types. However, only 7.6% of tumors harbored at least one such biomarker, indicating that the current understanding of resistance mechanisms remains insufficient. Our cohort demonstrated a significantly improved 6-month survival prediction from models incorporating molecular markers over models with only clinical markers for breast cancer patients and to a lesser extent for other studied tumor types. Overall, our data establish a unique resource for investigating treatment resistance mechanisms and performing predictive analyses in cancer. However, most chroniclers doubted the existence and the role of three characters because of the many names which are used to them, error in citing, and many myths related to them. This paper will try to unravel the mystery, function, and role of three characters in the process of Islamization in the Tatar Pasundan. The method used in this study is the historical method. The texts used are Manuscripts of Negara Kretabhumi, Carita Purwaka Caruban Nagari, Babad Cerbon, Cerbon history, history of Nagari Cerbon Babad, Babad Sunan Gunung Djati, Wawacan Sunan Gunung Djati, Babad Walangsungsang, the history of Lampahing Parawali Kabeh, Wawacan Kean Santang and Babad Limbangan. The results show that the first pioneers of spreading Islam in the coastal north of Cirebon were the prince Kean Santang, and Syarif Hidayatullah (Sunan Gunung Djati).</em></p>

Sejauh pengamatan penulis, cerbung Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero karya Tiyasti belum diteliti dari sisi psikoanalisis Freud. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan. Urgensi penelitian ini yaitu sebagai usaha untuk mengungkap unsur kepribadian tokoh di dalam cerbung Mikul Dhuwur mendhem Jero karya Tiyasti. Dengan mengetahui aspek psikologi tokoh di dalam cerbung Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero dapat memberikan pengajaran mengenai perilaku yang baik maupun yang kurang baik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian yaitu cerbung Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero edisi 07 Januari-01 April Tahun 2017. Data penelitian ini berupa kutipan-kutipan teks yang mengandung unsur instrinsik dan kajian psikologi pada cerbung Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak catat dan teknik pustaka. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis isi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh: (1) unsur instrinsik meliputi (a) tema: Membahagiakan orang tua dengan cara sekolah yang sungguh-sungguh dan bekerja; (b) tokoh dan penokohan terdiri dari tokoh utama: Ambarini dan Pratiwi, tokoh tambahan: Wahyuningrum, Dhokter Warsita, Bu Warsana, Setyarini; (c) alur yang digunakan adalah alur maju; (d) latar terdiri dari latar tempat, latar waktu, dan latar sosial; (2) psikologi konflik psikis tokoh dalam cerbung Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero karya Tiyasti mengungkapkan tentang dinamika dan proses kejiwaan tokoh-tokoh yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor lingkungan sosial kehidupan seseorang yang berlatar belakang masyarakat kota.

Abstract:
Abstract The purpose of this research is a comparative analysis of the lithic collections coming from the archaeological surface sites of Orentano (PISA), referring to the Middle Palaeolithic. The project has three main topics: 1. the techno-­‐economic and typological analysis of the lithic material, paying particular attention to the Levallois finds; 2. the identification and study of products resulting from débitage Kombewa; 3. the taphonomical approach, the analysis of the preservation state, the modification of surfaces and the observation of the techno-­‐typological characteristics of all the lithic material. The final goal is to have a complete picture of the similarities and differences between the two débitage (Levallois and Kombewa) and the real involvement of débitage Kombewa in the Middle Palaeolithic. Regarding the finds derived from débitage Kombewa, the observation was based exclusively on those materials that showed remains of the ventral face referable to this method, recovered in the surface lithic mass (cores, flakes retouched and not retouched). Were omitted from the analysis all those finds considered as débris. The techno-­‐economic study has allowed us to advance a number of very important considerations to determine the relationships between the various surface collections: the definition of the methods used and the products researched, within the individual surface collections, allowed us to emphasize a technical behaviour constituted by an uniform basis, essentially, that of débitage S.S.D.A. and some variants rather significant, such as those of débitage Levallois, discoid and Kombewa sensu lato. The main term of techno-­‐typological comparison is represented, above all, by the other surface collections of Cerbaie, subsequently, from Mousterian stratigraphic sites of the regional context and, for the débitage Kombewa sensu lato, comparisons are made only at the national level, since that this method was not, for the moment, yet addressed in studies of Mousterian lithic industries of Tuscany. The industries of Orentano found plenty evidences, especially, in the industries of Cerbaie, all surface stations, refer to the Mousterian but with different distinctions: all these different features, probably, may be charged with an attendance of Cerbaie at different times; less likely, however, it’s the hypothesis of artefacts differentiation linked to the activities in the various sites. Exclusively for Kombewa materials, it appears that the industries of Orentano find plentiful evidence in the Italian Mousterian industries where this débitage existents with this amount and percentages, sometimes really scarce, but it takes, always, a position complementary and non-­‐ intentional (secondary chaîne opératoire) in the methods of exploitation of the raw material. Abstract The “débitage S.S.D.A.” or “opportunist” is the method that represents the best strategy for the production of flakes at not-­‐predetermined morphology and it indicates the production method much more significant in the lithic production of Orentano. The débitage Levallois has been used lesser and its products have not been retouched so regularly. The negligible presence of discoid method could prove its unintentional research by those who knaps but, rarely, the final consequence of a Levallois production. Regarding the débitage Kombewa sensu lato, the arisen data have been satisfactory to affirm the non-­‐intentional production of such material: in fact, it appears to be a secondary chaîne opératoire, existent with percentages not really significant in all sites.

Abstract:

Detta examensarbete har utförts i samarbete med Cerbo AB, tillverkare av plastdetaljer, och beskriver ett produktutvecklingsprojekt som innefattar designförslag och konceptframtagning. Syftet med arbetet var att ta fram flera nya designförslag på en ny tablettburk som skulle skilja sig från dagens, så att kunden kunde rikta sig till andra och nya marknader. Målet var att i samråd med Cerbo AB välja ut max tre designförslag som kunde vidareutvecklas och modelleras i CAD. I rapporten redovisar hur arbetsgång har gått till och vilka metoder som har tillämpats. Genom att bland annat arbeta med konceptgenerering, informationsinsamling och datormodellering så har, med hjälp av bilderna och modeller från 3D-modelleringen, resultaten kunnat presenteras inför Probio.

Ett examensarbete genomfördes på Nolato Cerbo AB i Trollhättan, med målet att utforma ett förslag på ett digitalt arbetsflöde för avvikelsehantering på inköpt material. De frågeställningar som arbetet skulle besvara var: • Kan ett arbetsflöde för avvikelser på inköpt material digitaliseras för att underlätta dokumentering, spårbarhet och hantering av information? • Hur ska arbetsflödet utformas för att uppnå de interna intressenternas krav och behov? • Vilka fördelar respektive nackdelar kan uppstå vid införandet av ett digitalt arbetsflöde? För att kartlägga hur flödet ser ut i nuläget samt problem med flödet, genomfördes intervjuer med de berörda avdelningarna. Intervjuerna tog också upp de anställdas åsikter om ett digitalt flöde. Ett flödesschema skapades och därefter identifierades slöseri i flödet. En benchmarking genomfördes också på Varner Retail Logistics AB, för att se hur ett annat företag arbetar med ett digitalt flöde för avvikelsehantering. Ett nytt flödesschema togs fram för avvikelsehantering på inköpt material, där de manuella delarna digitaliserades. Efter att ett test genomförts med berörd personal kunde det konstateras att det digitala flödet kommer underlätta dokumentering, spårbarhet och hantering av information. De interna intressenternas krav och behov uppfylldes också. Fördelar som respondenterna anser kan uppnås med det digitala flödet var tidsbesparing, ingen manuell pappershantering, snabbare spridning av informationoch att rätt information fylls i från början. Nackdelar som anses kan uppstå är att det kommer ta tid för personalen att lära sig och vänja sig vid det nya arbetssättet, samt begränsningar i mobilapplikationen. Slutsatserna som drogs var att det digitala flödet kommer att kunna användas om det utformas enligt författarnas förslag, men förändringar kan komma att ske i flödet i framtiden. Det kan också finnas personal på Nolato Cerbo AB som känner en osäkerhet inför digitalisering och förändringar. För att implementeringen ska bli lyckad kommer därför utbildning och information om digitaliseringens möjligheter krävas.
A case study was performed at Nolato Cerbo AB in Trollhättan, with the objective to design a suggestion of a digital workflow for deviation handlingfor purchased material. The following questions were issued to fulfil the objective of the case study: • Is a workflow for deviation handling for purchased material possible to digitalize in order to facilitate documentation, traceability and information handling? • How should the workflow be designed in order to reach the involved personnel's requirements and needs? • Which advantages and disadvantages could emerge from the implementation of a digital workflow? To be able to map the current workflow and its issues, interviews with the involved departments were conducted. The interviews also brought up the employees' opinions of a digital workflow. A flowchart was created and waste in the workflow was identified. A benchmarking was performed at Varner Retail Logistics AB, to get an insight of how another company uses a digital workflow for deviation handling. A new flowchart for deviation handling for purchased material was created, where the manual parts of the flow were digitalized. After a test had been performed with concerned employees, it could be stated that the digital workflow will facilitate documentation, traceability and information handling. The requirements and needs for the involved personnel were also fulfilled. Advantages that the respondents consider can be achieved with the digital workflow was time save, no manual handling of paper, a faster distribution of information and that the correct information will be filled in from the beginning. Disadvantages that the respondents consider can emerge is that it will take some time for the employees to learn and adapt to the new way of working and the limitations of the mobileapplication. The conclusions that were drawn was that the digital workflow will be able to be used if it's designed according to the suggestion, although changes to the workflow might be performed in the future. There might also be employees at Nolato CerboAB which afraid of digitalization and changes. For the implementation to be successful, an education and information about the possibilities that digitalization brings will be required.

Abstract:
In this short paper the author tries to explain how a learner-centered student course portfolio has helped him to document the educational outcomes. The author has taught and is currently teaching the subject matter of Hydraulics, Hydrology and Fluid Mechanics at an undergraduate level. Here the author tries to correlate the assessment of student learning to the assessment of instructor teaching methodologies. It is well known that industry is in need of employees that are committed to long-term development and continuous improvement. The key element here is to recognize the fundamental concept that teaching and learning are connected and therefore it is essential that the interaction between the instructor and learner is properly documented in the portfolio. (Cerbin, 1994). While addressing these issues, the author raises five questions: 1. What should be counted as appropriate goals in an undergraduate engineering course that has a significant laboratory component? 2. Are the teaching practices utilized by the instructor in this course providing reasonably acceptable paths toward accomplishing the specified learning goals? 3. What do students actually accomplish in the course and the laboratory exercises and how does the instructor’s teaching methodologies contribute to students’ intellectual development and progress? 4. How does the instructor respond to students’ learning difficulties? Does the teacher revise the teaching strategies to address such problems? 5. What impact does this type of teaching have on students’ life-long learning attitudes? Are they able to “learn, how to learn.” A course portfolio is deemed as a specified document that represents the specific accomplishments of the student and is structured to explain what, how and why the students learnt in that particular course. The portfolio shall include everything that was accomplished in that particular course. It should contain a teaching statement that provides a flow-chart. (Knapper, 1995). Further, an assessment analysis of student learning should be supported by class work, problem sets, quizzes, examinations, research reports, term papers, examinations, laboratory reports, etc. An analysis of student feedback is essential to document teaching effectiveness. Finally, a comprehensive course summary. The summary should describe the strengths and weaknesses of the course in terms of students’ learning. (Richlin, 1995).
