The use of non-certified seeds in rice farming in rainfed rice fields is still relatively high, around 60%. The study evaluated access to certified seeds among farming households in Imo State. One hundred and eighty respondents were selected for the study through a multistage sampling procedure. In the Strategic Plan Document (RENSTRA) of the Agriculture Service in Padang City for 2019–2024, it is determined that rice is a strategic commodity. One effort to increase rice production is a policy of increasing the use of certified rice seeds at the farmer level. The study assessed the awareness, access and utilization of certified seeds by rice farmers in Ebonyi State.
