Introdução: Geo-helmintíases afetam 1,5 bilhão de pessoas no mundo, causando principalmente desnutrição, anemia e diarreia. Em animais, foram encontrados nematoides parasitas resistentes às classes de anti-helmínticos disponíveis, gerando a preocupação de que isso acontecerá em humanos.
