Zinc acetate and ammonium bicarbonate are used as raw material, zinc oxide prepared by direct precipitation of new technology. This paper discusses the effection of the formation in zinc oxide from the reactant concentration of zinc acetate, HCO3-/Zn2+ molarity ratio, reaction temperature, reaction time and condition in thermal decomposition of basic zinc carbonate. Using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), thermogravimetric / differential thermal analysis (TG / DTA) and other methods, preparation of nano-ZnO are characterized. This study investigated some factors affecting ammonium removal and nitrite accumulation by Alcaligenes faecalis C16, which was isolated from the activated sludge of a coking wastewater treatment plant. Nitrite was produced from ammonium only in the presence of citrate, acetate, meat extract, peptone or ethanol. The highest amount of nitrite was found with citrate as carbon source. A. faecalis C16 could not use glucose, fructose, sucrose and methanol. Under the optimum conditions of initial pH 6.0, C/N 14, 30 °C and 120 rpm, a maximum nitrite accumulation of 28.29 mg/L NO2−-N was achieved when

Ammonium is an important inorganic nitrogen source utilized by plants. The uptake of ammonium by plant roots involves two types of ammonium transport pathways, the high-affinity ammonium transporters (HATS) and the low-affinity ammonium transporters (LATS). Recently, through a transcriptional linkage to a membrane bound transcription factor, bHLHm1, a novel family of ammonium transporters, AMF1 (ammonium facilitator 1) were discovered. Diadducts of rhodium acetate with 4-nitrobenzonitrile, 4-aminobenzonitrile, 4-(dimethylamino)benzonitrile, and 3,5-dinitrobenzonitrile were successfully prepared and characterized by X-ray crystallography. Abstract:
Preferential flow appears to be the rule rather than the exception in field soils and should be considered in the quantitative description of solute transport in the unsaturated zone of heterogeneous formations on the field scale. This study focused on both experimental monitoring and computer simulations to identify important features of preferential flow in the natural environment. The specific objectives of this research were: (1) To conduct dye tracing and multiple tracer experiments on undisturbed field plots to reveal information about the flow velocity, spatial prevalence, and time evol

Abstract:
The original objectives of the approved proposal included: 1. Establishment of the biosynthetic pathways for pheromone production using labeled precursors and GC-MS. 2. The elucidation of a circadian regulation of key enzymes in the biosynthetic pathway. 3. The identification, characterization and confirmation of functional expression of the delta-desaturases. 4. The identification of gene regulatory processes involved in the expression of the key enzymes in the biosynthetic pathway. Background to the topic: Moths constitute one of the major groups of pest insects in agriculture and their repr
