This paper studies the cost effectiveness of climate policy if there are technology externalities. For this purpose, we develop a forward-looking CGE model that captures empirical links between CO2 emissions associated with energy use, directed technical change and the economy. A solar simulator was used to test whether a carbon black additive could increase the solar absorption of a low temperature organic PCM (consisting of a eutectic mixture of palmitic acid and stearic acid). Various PCM and carbon black composites (0.01 % to 6 %) were tested, with the 0.06 % carbon black composites showing the fastest temperature increase, reaching 75 °C much quicker (350 % faster) than the pure PCM. DNA condensates were detected by Dynamic Light Scattering and observed by Transmission Electron Microscopy. In one set of oligonucleotides, two GG steps are separated by either a TATA or an ATAT bridge. In these two compounds, the efficiency of radical cation migration from GG to GG differs by more than an order of magnitude. Abstract:

For over 100 years, cancer radiation therapy has provided patients with increased survival rates. Despite this success, radiation exposure poses a threat to the progeny of exposed parents. It causes transgenerational genome instability that is linked to transgenerational carcinogenesis. The exact mechanisms in which this instability occurs have yet to be discovered. Abstract:

We present the first measurement of the CP violating charge asymmetry in B-+/- -> mu(+/-)nu D-mu(0) decays using the full Run II integrated luminosity of 10.4 fb(-1) in proton-antiproton collisions collected with the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. We measure a difference in the yield of B- and B+ mesons in these decays by fitting the reconstructed invariant mass distributions. This results in an asymmetry of A(mu D0) = [-0.14 +/- 0.20] %, which is consistent with standard model predictions.
