Abstract:
Ovaj rad metodološki je zamišljen kao interdisciplinarno (filozofsko i teološko) promišljanje o duši. Epistemološki većinom se oslanja na spoznajno–teorijske izvore dvojice vrsnih poznavatelja koncepta duše: filozofa, teologa i kršćanskog naučitelja i biskupa sv. Augustina Aurelija (354. — 430.) i austrijskog psihologa, »oca psihoanalize« i pionira sfere nesvjesnog Sigmunda Freuda (1856. — 1939.). U radu želimo propitati konvergencije i divergencije s obzirom na njihov koncept duše. U radu će se odgovoriti na sljedeće: 1) na koji način Augustin razumijeva pojam duše, odakle polazi i na čemu temelji svoje razumijevanje o duši te 2) do koje mjere i na koji se način Augustinovo učenje o duši, izraženo u njegovim Ispovijestima, reflektiralo na Freudovo tumačenju duše shvaćene kao locus primus proučavanja uzroka i posljedica neuropatoloških fenomena u okviru kliničke prakse, detaljno opisane u Uvodu u psihoanalizu. U prvom dijelu rada, s teološkog i spoznajnog aspekta, propituju se temeljne postavke Augustinova shvaćanja i tumačenja duše, u duhu one Fichteove qualis homo, talis philosophia. Drugi je dio rada usredotočen na autoričinu interpretaciju Freudove psihoanalize kao terapeutske metode pomoću koje ne samo da se proučava nego i liječi čovjekova »bolesna duša«, odnosno »ličnost« (Allport). U trećem dijelu govori se o konvergencijama i divergencijama Augustinove i Freudove »teo–psihoantropologije«, jer ono što je zajedničko i Augustinu i Freudu jest fokus njihova istraživanja, a to je čovjek: za Augustina (raz)otkrivanje duše je put (raz)otkrivanja Boga, tako da govorimo o psihologiji koja izvire iz ascendentne teologije, a s druge pak strane, (raz)otkrivanje nesvjesnoga dijela freudovski protumačene Aristotelove »razumske duše« put je otkrivanja čovjekova osobnog identiteta (sebstva): čovjek je ishodišna točka u istraživanju Boga (tj. izvora dobra), ali i sebe samoga (sv. Augustin, Charles Taylor).

This study is a monograph of a seventeenth century French architect: Augustin-Charles d'Aviler. He was above everything else the author of a famous Cours d'architecture widely inspired by the Vignole's regola delli cinque ordini and by the French architectural of the academy. But he was also the great États du Languedoc's architect who radically transformed the visage of this province (with private houses, churches, public works, etc. ). Le présent mémoire porte sur la critique littéraire telle que pensée et pratiquée par Charles-Augustin Sainte-Beuve ainsi que son disciple infidèle Marcel Proust, et ce dans une perspective poético-historique. Il tente de montrer que la critique proustienne n’est pas radicalement opposée à la critique beuvienne, qu’elle ne se positionne pas absolument « contre » elle comme l’ont compris plusieurs lecteurs de Contre Sainte-Beuve, mais qu’elle la prolonge en la corrigeant. Il existe au xixeme siecle un ensemble tres riche de recueils de "portraits litteraires" ou portraits ecrits d'ecrivains par d'autres ecrivains: de sainte-beuve a mallarme, nos recherches nous ont permis de recenser plus d'une centaine d'auteurs, illustres et inconnus, et plus du double de recueils de "portraits en pied" ou "medaillons". Ces portraits litteraires, avant de connaitre une consecration par le livre, constitutaient une des rubriques les plus populaires des journaux. Ils prennent les formes litteraires les plus variees, du simple billet boulevardier a la prose la plus travaillee, du texte frivole et mondain, parodique, au "tombeau", hommage d'un ecrivain a un autre ecrivain: dans leur diversite, ils composent ainsi une sorte de "spectre" de la litterature contemporaine. En meme temps, se definissant par rapport a la peinture, ils mettent en jeu une esthetique de la representation et de la ressemblance. Faisant defiler un a un tous les "grands hommes" du xixeme siecle, ces "galeries" ou "pantheons" constituent une forme de discours double sur la vie litteraire contemporaine. In the nineteenth century in france, there existed many collections of "literary portraits" or word portraits of writers written by other writers. From sainte-beuve to mallarme , we found more than a hundred of authors and more than twice as many books of full-length portraits or medaillions. Those literary portraits, before being published in books, were one of the most popular columns of papers. They are very different one another: from the elaborate prose to the simple note, from the trifling parody to the "grave", homage from a writer to another writer. In their variety, they are drawing a "spectrum" of the contemporary literature. At the same time, since they have to be understood in relation with painting, they involve an aesthetics of likeness. Showing the great men of the nineteenth century, these "galleries" or "pantheons" constitute a form of double discourse on the contemporary literary life. They crystallise the myths related to the figure of the writer, they are drawing an emblematical image of him, which is at the same time an interrogation about writing. Cette thèse porte sur Sainte-Beuve et ses Causeries du Lundi, et notamment sur les annotations effectuées sur certains de ces textes. Dans l'introduction à ces annotations, nous avons développé plusieurs points qui aideront à mieux comprendre qui était Sainte-Beuve, et son immense travail critique. Considéré comme le plus grand critique du XIXe siècle, Sainte-Beuve a développé minutieusement, une méthode critique bien à lui. Un des éléments importants du travail critique de Sainte-Beuve est la littérature qu'il a accordée aux femmes, que ce soient des figures célèbres ou bien des personnes peu connues. C'est dans les salons littéraires auxquels il était convié que Sainte-Beuve a trouvé une grande partie de son inspiration, ce qui lui a permis de fonder son discours sur l'oral, la conversation et l'observation sur le terrain, cela a dû largement contribuer à l'élaboration de sa méthode critique. Les salons littéraires étaient devenus pour Sainte-Beuve tel un laboratoire scientifique, un espace dynamique de travail interactif. Une des caractéristiques principales de cette méthode est de ne pas séparer l'écrivain de son œuvre littéraire, afin de le saisir dans son actualité, dans sa contemporanéité. Sa méthode est dotée d'un caractère naturel, dans la mesure où il part de l'écrivain et de l'œuvre. Sainte-Beuve, dans son travail de critique, avait aussi un rôle social. Il a tenté de décrire, à travers ses portraits, les rapports sociaux entre les individus de son temps ou d'une époque passée. This thesis deals with the Causeries du Lundi of Sainte-Beuve, and in particular with the annotations made on some of these texts. In the introduction to these annotations, we have developed several points that will help to better understand who Sainte-Beuve was, and his immense critical work. Considered the greatest critic of the nineteenth century, Sainte-Beuve has developed a unique critical method. One of the important elements of Sainte-Beuve's critical work is the literature he has dedicated to women, be they famous figures or not. It was in the literary salons to which he was invited that Sainte-Beuve took much of his inspiration, allowing him to base his speech on the oral language, conversations and field observation, which has contributed greatly to the elaboration of his critical method. For Sainte-Beuve, literary salons had become a scientific laboratory, a dynamic space of interactive work. One of the main features of this method is not to separate the writer from his literary work. His method has a natural character, insofar as it starts from the writer and the work. Sainte-Beuve, in his critical work, also had a social role. He has attempted to describe, through his portraits, the social relations between individuals of his time or those of a bygone era. Louis Steinheil naquit à Strasbourg le 26 juin 1814. Il entra en 1833 à l’École des Beaux-Arts à Paris ; élève de Henri Decaisne et de David d’Angers, il débuta au Salon de 1836 avec un tableau de genre, et y exposa régulièrement. Sculpteur, orfèvre, graveur, illustrateur, botaniste. . . Steinheil était très versé dans l’étude des styles et de l’archéologie chrétiennes, et il s’affirma surtout comme cartonnier de vitraux et peintre décorateur. Il collabora entre autres avec les architectes Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, Jean-Baptiste Lassus, Félix Duban et Émile Boeswillwald à la restauration de nombreux édifices médiévaux, parmi les plus prestigieux de France (Sainte Chapelle du Palais de justice de Paris ; cathédrales de Paris, Strasbourg, Chartres, Bourges, Reims, Limoges, etc. ), et acquit une grande notoriété de son vivant. En quarante ans, il fournit un nombre considérable de cartons à une vingtaine de peintres verriers différents. Ses restaurations, restitutions et travaux originaux sont d’ailleurs présents dans plus de soixante-dix localités différentes, réparties dans toute la France
Louis Steinheil was born in Strasbourg the 26th of June 1814. He started studiing in the École des Beaux-Arts of Paris in 1833 ; pupil of Henri Decaisne and David d’Angers, he made his début at the Salon of 1836 with a genre painting, and exhibited there regulary. Sculptor, engraver, illustrator, botanist. . . Steinheil specialized in the study of Christian styles and archeology, and principally worked as a stained-glass windows’ cartonnier and as a painter and decorator. He participated, with architects as Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, Jean-Baptiste Lassus, Félix Duban and Émile Boeswillwald, to the restoration of many medieval edifices, among the most prestigious in France (Sainte-Chapelle of Paris ; cathedrals of Paris, Strasbourg, Chartres, Bourges, Reims, Limoges, etc. ), and became famous when he was alive. During fourty years, he produced a great number of cartoons for more than twenty stained-glass makers. His restorations and original works are present in more than seventy different towns, all around France

Abstract:
My thesis explores what is involved in attaining an integrated sense of self, a question which is both interesting in its own right and which can also provide one enlightening means of comparing the disciplines of theology and psychology. The first two chapters establish the theological method to be followed and provide an ideological context. I describe why the relationship between theology and psychology is a particularly problematic one and outline why I think some of the methods so far proposed for relating them are unsatisfactory. I suggest instead that in some respects the two disciplines may be seen as providing alternative strategies for securing the unity of the self. With the aid of Charles Taylor's philosophy of personhood, I set out what I mean by the self and what constitutes the unity of the self. I describe how the modem self has developed historically through the relation of individuals to sources of value, and I suggest that theology and some forms of psychology can be understood as offering expressions of complementary sources of such value and hence can be related to one another. I consider postmodern attacks on the unified self and conclude that our contemporary context is one which demands less strongly ordered forms of integrating the self than those which have come down to us in the Western intellectual tradition. The next four chapters focus on the work of key representatives of the theological and psychological traditions. From the side of theology, I describe Augustine's conviction that an individual might move from a state of fragmentation to a state of wholeness through being remade in the image of the one God (chapter 3). From the psychological side, I consider Freud's methods for enabling us to move from a state of neurosis to limited self-mastery (chapter 4), and Jung's suggestion that wholeness is attained though discovery and acceptance of the natural realm lying within the psyche (chapter 5). 1 then review the proposals for uniting the self behind the project of self-actualisation that have been developed by the humanistic psychologists, in particular Fromm, Maslow and Rogers (chapter 6).In conclusion (chapter 7) 1 suggest some ways in which Augustine's theology needs to be revised if it is to be relevant to our contemporary self-understanding, and show how the most promising strategy for unifying the self is likely to arise from a combination of an Augustinian theistic outlook with the insights of these modem psychologists.

Quelle place a l’Antiquité grecque et romaine dans la mémoire européenne ? Pour certains, elle est un modèle indépassable et les modernes peuvent seulement imiter ses grands auteurs. Pour d’autres, elle est une époque d’ignorance et de barbarie à oublier. Pour d’autres encore, elle est un sujet de curiosité, comme une tribu d’Amazonie, avec ses étranges coutumes. Pour nos auteurs, trois écrivains du XIXe siècle, elle est un peu de tout cela et plus encore : l’Antiquité est pour eux la source de tous les développements futurs de la civilisation et du savoir. L’un d’eux écrit « rien de grand n’a de grand commencement » : l’Histoire progresse à partir de petites intuitions. Religion, science et culture sont ainsi nés dans l’Antiquité et ont continué jusqu’aux temps modernes, menacés néanmoins par des théoriciens avides de bouleversements. For our authors, three writers of the nineteenth century, it is a bit of all this and more: Antiquity is for them the source of all future developments of civilization and knowledge. One of them writes "nothing great has a great beginning": history progresses from small intuitions. Religion, science and culture were thus born in antiquity and continued until modern times, threatened nevertheless by theorists eager for upheavals. Abstract:
The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA METRO) subway provides service with up to six-car trains at up to 65 mph at five minute headways on weekdays. To reduce energy usage, LA METRO implemented a flywheel-based Wayside Energy Storage Substation (WESS), which reduces energy usage by capturing and reusing braking energy generated by trains when they decelerate and brake approaching the passenger station. The LA METRO WESS has a 2 MW, 15 second capacity, or 8.33 kWh, and can charge and discharge with a 1.5 minute cycle rate. WESS has been in daily full operation since August 2014. WESS has saved 10 to 18% of the traction power energy at the Westlake TPSS, every day.

Abstract:
Code Case 2564 for the design of impulsively loaded vessels was approved in January 2008. In 2010 the US Army Non-Stockpile Chemical Materiel Program, with support from Sandia National Laboratories, procured a vessel per this Code Case for use on the Explosive Destruction System (EDS). The vessel was delivered to the Army in August of 2010 and approved for use by the DoD Explosives Safety Board in 2012. Although others have used the methodology and design limits of the Code Case to analyze vessels, to our knowledge, this was the first vessel to receive an ASME explosive rating with a U3 stamp. This paper discusses lessons learned in the process. Of particular interest were issues related to defining the design basis in the User Design Specification and explosive qualification testing required for regulatory approval. Specifying and testing an impulsively loaded vessel is more complicated than a static pressure vessel because the loads depend on the size, shape, and location of the explosive charges in the vessel and on the kind of explosives used and the point of detonation. Historically the US Department of Defense and Department of Energy have required an explosive test. Currently the Code Case does not address testing requirements, but it would be beneficial if it did since having vetted, third party standards for explosive qualification testing would simplify the process for regulatory approval.

Abstract:
In Japan, 4 nuclear power stations are under decommissioning and some nuclear fuel cycle facilities are expected to be decommissioned in the future. On the other hand, the safety regulation of decommissioning of nuclear facilities was changed by amending act in 2005. An approval system after review process of decommissioning plan was adopted and applied to the power stations above. In this situation, based on the experiences of the new regulatory system, the system should be well established and moreover, it should be improved and enhanced in the future. Nuclear Industry and Safety Agency (NISA) is in charge of regulation of commercial nuclear facilities in Japan and decommissioning of them is included. Japan Nuclear Energy Safety Organization (JNES) is in charge of technical supports for NISA as a TSO (Technical Support Organization) also in this field. As for decommissioning, based on regulatory needs, JNES has been continuing research activities from October 2003, when JNES has been established. Considering the “Prioritized Nuclear Safety Research Plan (August 2009)” of the Nuclear Safety Commission of Japan and the situation of operators faculties, “Regulatory Support Research Plan between FY 2010–2014” was established in November 2009, which shows the present regulatory needs and a research program. This program consists of researches for 1. review process of decommissioning plan of power reactors, 2. review process of decommissioning plan of nuclear fuel cycle facilities, 3. termination of license at the end of decommissioning and 4. management of decommissioning waste. For the item 1, JNES studied safety assessment methods of dismantling, e.g. obtaining data and analysis of behavior of dust diffusion and risk assessment during decommissioning, which are useful findings for the review process. For the item 2, safety requirements for the decommissioning of nuclear fuel cycle facilities was compiled, which will be used in the future review. For the item 3, measuring method, release procedure and analysis code for the site release were studied for the establishment of the license termination process in the future. From FY 2010, based on the new plan, we have started the researches for the standardization of review process of decommissioning plan for power reactors and nuclear fuel cycle facilities, establishing the process and criteria of license termination and appropriate method of management of decommissioning waste based on the waste form confirmation process.

Abstract:
Covid-19, a disease that transformed into a pandemic at the beginning of 2020, caused catastrophic results in the world and Turkey. There have been some restrictions on trade, education, tourism, and art. Daily life was not interrupted but some services and events that they have not primary functions (for some people) like “art” were on the verge of stopping and carried to the digital platforms. In this context, some corporations opened their archives and sometimes actual events to the public free of charge or for a certain amount of money. Art, which has always had “healing”, “mediating” and “unifying” effects, was consumed by the billions of people through digital devices. Considering art is both a sector and an industry, the unexpected phenomenon of Covid-19, which is a kind of crisis that occurs one in a hundred years and takes longer than expected, led to the temporary or permanent closure of some art and culture institutions. Due to these results, some supportive programs have been organized by official or non-official institutions to solve financial problems. In Turkey, all the movie theaters closed down on the 16th of March 2020 by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Some halls opened in July and August, however, because of lack of audience and of the increasing number of patients they have closed down again in November. 2019 was a bad year for the sector yet 2020 was even worse with the decline of the audience by the ratio of %90. Before the pandemic, there were some problems in terms of halls. In this context, some movie theaters tried to find solutions not to lose the audience and find financial support. Beyoğlu Movie Theater that began operating in 1989, had some financial problems before the pandemic. The managers of the hall created a project called “Beyoğlu 1989”, which was a kind of electronic bulletin, and started sending e-mails to the subscribers. This project, which was implemented for the first time in Turkey, has reached the 57th issue and 800 subscribers today and has turned into a kind of weekly electronic-digital cinema newspaper that is also promoted on the Instagram account of the Beyoğlu cinema with 45 thousand followers. The broadcast also follows the cinema agenda and undertakes the task of a written-visual archive. In conclusion, a movie theater that started operating in the analog age, today use all the possibilities and utilities of the digital age and also with the help of its owners and followers, creates a communication ecology to prevent the shutdown. The aim of this article is to examine an electronic bulletin (also a film magazine) “1989”, which is first in Turkey, with the qualitative method.

Abstract:
As the offshore energy sector looks to fully implement resident, autonomous, robotic, digital systems offshore, one missing piece of the puzzle is remote power generation. Further complicating these efforts are the owner/operators’ move towards net zero operations. The combination represents a significant dilemma for the offshore energy industry: if gensets and topside vessels are not appropriate or practical power sources for future resident systems, how will these needed cost and carbon-saving innovations come to market and get deployed in the field? Objectives/Scope The proposed paper will provide an overview of a new platform solution, an autonomous offshore power system (AOPS), that looks to complete the puzzle. A number of AOPS’ are under development world-wide. The paper will review the state-of-the-art, including the SeaRAY AOPS, which will undergo sea trials off the coast of Marine Corp Base Hawaii, on Oahu, Hawaii, USA. The sea trials are expected to last for six months. Note: Because of COVID-related delays, the sea trials originally planned for late 2020 will now start in 2Q21. The August presentation at OTC will include the latest information available on the sea trials and co-deployed payload testing. Methods, Procedures, Process The SeaRAY AOPS is the result of a project co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Navy, and C·Power, to design, build, and test a novel AOPS technology. The SeaRAY AOPS provides kW-scale power generation, energy storage, and real-time data and communications capabilities for remote, offshore systems, including unmanned subsea and surface vehicles (e.g., AUVs, ROVs, USVs), sensor payloads (e.g., environmental monitoring or methane emissions) and operating equipment (e.g., emergency power for failed/failing umbilical, field modernization, or redundant power for BOP systems). Satisfying the need for cleaner operations, the SeaRAY and other AOPS devices capture and convert ocean energy into electricity to charge the energy storage system. The payloads, in turn, receive their power from the intermediate energy storage system, allowing campaign-based or extended residency. Results, Observations, Conclusions The paper will review the initial results from the planning, permitting, deployment, operation, and maintenance of the SeaRAY AOPS and the co-deployed sensor and vehicle payloads, which include a seafloor acoustical environmental monitoring system and a hybrid AUV. Novel/Additive Information: The market impact of AOPS’ for the offshore energy industry can be significant, as the class of systems is intended to enable reductions in operational costs, carbon emissions, and complexity, while enabling a fuller implementation of autonomous and semi-autonomous resident systems. The paper will outline these features and benefits for the offshore energy industry, along with the results to-date of the novel SeaRAY AOPS’ sea trials.
