Abstract:

Výzkumných prací týkajících se zkoumání postojů žáků k chemii není mnoho. Ve většině případů se jedná o výzkumné práce zaměřené na vliv genderu na utváření postojů k uvedenému předmětu. V předkládané studii byl kromě vlivu genderu zjišťován i vliv ročníku, oblíbeného předmětu a celkový postoj žáků k chemii. Výzkumný vzorek byl tvořen 379 žáky druhého stupně z osmi českých základních škol. Poměr děvčat a chlapců byl přibližně vyrovnaný. Více žáků bylo z osmého ročníku (n = 236) a žáků s oblíbeným přírodovědným předmětem bylo 102. Jako výzkumný nástroj byl použit dotazník obsahující 25 škálovaných položek Likertova typu. Použitím faktorové analýzy byly položky rozděleny do 4 dimenzí: Zájem o chemii, Význam chemie, Budoucí život a chemie, Chemické experimenty. Na zjištění rozdílů u jednotlivých proměnných byl použit t-test pro nezávislé výběry. Významný rozdíl byl zjištěn pouze u proměnné oblíbený předmět ve prospěch žáků s chemií jakožto oblíbeným předmětem. Děvčata dosahovala pozitivnějšího postoje k chemii než chlapci. Žáci obou ročníků dosáhli přibližně vyrovnaného skóre. Na závěr jsou navrženy možnosti dalšího směřování výzkumu v této oblasti.

Abstract:

Příspěvek je zaměřen na efekt, který má zařazení chemie do rámcových vzdělávacích programů pro obory vzdělání středního odborného vzdělávání. Tento efekt je zjišťován jako rozdíl mezi postoji žáků k chemii po ukončení základní školní docházky a po ukončení středoškolské výuky chemie, tedy v prvním ročníku střední odborné školy nechemického zaměření. Zjištěné výsledky jsou propojeny s výsledky dříve provedených výzkumů v této oblasti. Z koncepčního hlediska je nutné podniknout potřebné kroky směrem ke zvýšení kvality výuky chemie na těchto školách, jelikož právě na nich studuje většina žáků středních škol tvořící následně všeobecné mínění společnosti.

Abstract:

Příspěvek v první řadě poskytuje příklad, jak pracovat se sémantickým diferenciálem, v druhé řadě je zaměřen na zjištění postojů k chemii na základě dat získaných prostřednictvím sémantického diferenciálu. Chemie patří mezi málo oblíbené školní předměty, jak v domácím, tak i zahraničním prostředí. Na zkoumání vnímání chemie se nejčastěji používají dotazníky se škálovanými položkami. Použití sémantického diferenciálu patří mezi málo používané metody získávání dat. Cílem výzkumného šetření bylo zjistit postoje žáků základních škol k chemii za použití sémantického diferenciálu, dále byl zjišťován vliv ročníku a genderu na postoje žáků druhého stupně ZŠ k chemii. Výzkumného šetření se zúčastnilo 71 respondentů, kterým byl distribuován výzkumný nástroj s 20 adjektivy na 7bodové škále. Po obdržení dat byla stanovena reliabilita použitím Cronbachova alfa, která indikovala spolehlivost výzkumného nástroje. Použitím faktorové analýzy byla adjektiva rozdělena do čtyř dimenzí. Na základě průměrného skóre byl indikován neutrální postoj k chemii. Pomocí t-testu byl zjišťován rozdíl mezi skupinami proměnných gender a ročník. Chlapci vnímali chemii významně pozitivněji v porovnání s dívkami, mladší žáci vnímali chemii pozitivněji než starší.

Abstract:

Článek představuje výsledky položkové analýzy oborových testů z chemie zadávaných pro účely přijímacího řízení na Přírodovědecké fakultě Univerzity Karlovy v letech 2016 až 2019 a navazuje na dříve publikované články zaměřené na obecnou a anorganickou chemii. Cílem zkoumání byla identifikace nejvíce obtížných úloh pro uchazeče o studium a rovněž necitlivých úloh, tj. takových, které nedostatečně rozlišovaly úspěšné uchazeče od uchazečů neúspěšných. Obtížné úlohy byly identifikovány na základě vypočtení indexu obtížnosti. Necitlivé úlohy byly stanoveny na základě výpočtu koeficientů ULI(1/2) a RIR.Výsledky položkové analýzy odhalily, že v rámci organické chemie a biochemie byly pro uchazeče obtížné úlohy ze čtyř okruhů (reakce v organické chemii, konstituce látek a izomerie, klasifikace organických látek, enzymy). Necitlivé úlohy byly detekovány u sedmi témat, která obsahovala alespoň jednu necitlivou položku (např. kyselost a zásaditost organických látek, vzorce v biochemii, biochemické reakce, . . . ). Necitlivost úlohy často souvisela s vysokým počtem kroků nutných k jejímu úspěšnému vyřešení.

Abstract:

The contribution presents the offer of courses with chemical themes at Faculty of Education, University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, which are intended for future teachers and not only for students of teacher training in chemistry. Attention is focused mainly on the course Chemistry by Play and on our experience with non-contact teaching in the academic year 2020/2021. The studentsʼ experience with experimental chemistry teaching forms in the previous study at high school are discussed here. Other possibilities to increase future teachersʼ competences in the field of natural sciences are mentioned in the paper.

SCIAMACHY (SCanning Imaging Absorption spectroMeter for Atmospheric CartograpHY) has been selected by ESA to fly on the first ENVISAT mission (1998). The Instrument Requirements originate from the Max Planck Institut für Chemie in Mainz under principal investigator J.P. Burrows /1/. The instrument comprises an imaging spectrometer operating in the wavelength range of 240-2385 nm, at a resolution of ~0.2 nm. Measurements will be performed in the nadir mode, in the limb mode and in the sun/moon occultation mode.

Abstract:

Soil, as a topic in education, is a typical multidisciplinary topic that can affect geography, biology and ecology, and if we deal with soil composition and analysis, it also affects chemistry and mathematics. From the chemist's point of view, the loss on ignition of the sample is a historical parameter that is directly related to the content of organic matter in the soil sample and it is used to rating soils or solid fertilizers. Loss on ignition is also directly related to the total carbon content, which is another similar parameter that can be determined in the laboratory. This paper is aligned to the analysis of the possible transforming the methods of solid samples analysis into a form, which is usable in the chemistry teaching. The possibilities of applying mathematical methods to the analysis of the relationships between the above parameters are discussed and the use of such a procedure as an interdisciplinary project in education at various types of schools is discussed.

Abstract:

This paper describes the complete evaluation of GE MS 5001 first stage turbine buckets run for 53,000 hours following repair and coating. The IN738 buckets were repaired and coated with a platinum aluminide coating1 in late 1977 and then run in base load operation by Akzo Zout Chemie. When the buckets were removed from service, several buckets were selected for evaluation, while the balance were again repaired and returned to service. Metallurgical and chemical analysis of the base metal and coating and mechanical property tests were conducted on an engine run part. Abstract:

Mit der Chemikalienstrategie für Nachhaltigkeit visiert die EU einen grünen Transformationsprozess der Wertschöpfungsketten der chemischen Industrie an. Dieser Transformationsprozess erfordert jedoch große Mengen an finanziellen Ressourcen. Die EU hat diesbezüglich die (EU) 2020/852 Taxonomie-Verordnung (EU-Taxonomie) verabschiedet, welche unionsweit einheitliche Kriterien für „ökologisch nachhaltige“ Wirtschaftstätigkeiten definiert, um die Transparenz auf den Finanzmärkten zu erhöhen und somit ab 2022 massive private Kapitalströme in nachhaltigere Investitionen und Wirtschaftsaktivitäten umzulenken. Die Arbeit prognostiziert die Wirksamkeit und den potenziellen Beitrag dieses Instruments zu einer nachhaltig(er)en Entwicklung der chemischen Industrie. Unter Anwendung der transdisziplinären Delta-Analyse (TDA) nach Bizer & Führ schätzt die Abhandlung hierzu die potenziellen Auswirkungen des Instruments auf das Verhalten der Investoren sowie der Akteure der chemischen Wertschöpfungsketten ab. Darüber hinaus untersucht der Text die vorläufigen Technischen Regulierungsstandards der EU-Taxonomie zum Umweltziel Klimaschutz für die Herstellung von organischen Grundstoffen und Chemikalien (Stand März 2021) und analysiert diese mit Blick auf die Anforderungen an eine nachhaltig(er)e Chemie. Daraus ergeben sich strukturelle sowie inhaltliche Limitationen des Instruments in der aktuellen Form, welche zu Opti-mierungspotenzialen hinleiten, mit denen die EU-Taxonomie zukünftig stärker zum Transformationsprozess zu einer nachhaltig(er)en Chemie beitragen kann. Eine zentrale Erkenntnis ist jedoch, dass durch die EU-Taxonomie keine produktbezogenen Betrachtungen entlang der chemischen Wertschöpfungsketten gefördert wird, womit das Instrument schlussendlich nicht als alleiniger Wegbereiter für eine nachhaltig(er)e Chemie fungieren kann.

Dieser Bericht dokumentiert die Ergebnisse des Forschungsprojekts „Marktchancen für ‚nachhaltigere Chemie‘ durch die REACH-Verordnung [Sustainable Sporting Goods - SuSport]“. Ziel des im Jahr 2018 abgeschlossenen Projektes ist es, eine „nachhaltigere Chemie“ in der textilen Lieferkette zu unterstützen und dabei den Blick von der „reaktiven“ Compliance Position auf eine „proaktive“ Beyond Compliance Perspektive zu erweitern. Strategisch stützt sich dieser Ansatz auf folgende Überlegung: Wer morgen noch „Compliant“ sein will, muss heute bereits „Beyond Compliance“ agieren. Mit einer solchen Strategie ist nicht nur die Rechtskonformität gewährleistet, es lassen sich viel-mehr auch neue Marktchancen erschließen.4 Die Notwendigkeit für diesen Perspektivenwechsel ergibt sich bereits aus der normativen Ausgangssituation Ein solcher Perspektivenwechsel und die damit verbundenen Veränderungen bedeuten für die Akteure der Textilbranche eine große Herausforderung Denn letztlich führt dies zu der Frage, wie man ein Chemikalienmanagement in der globalen Lieferkette organisiert Aus diesem Kontext ergeben sich die Empfehlungen für die Akteure der textilen Lieferkette Methodisch bestand die Herausforderung darin, die vorherrschenden Denk- und Argumentationsmuster der beteiligten Akteure der textilen Kette für die Ziele dieses Vorhabens zu öffnen Es bleibt abzuwarten, ob der entstandene Prozess ein Momentum erzeugt, der zu den gewünschten Veränderungen in der textilen Lieferkette führt erste Schritte in diese Richtung sind aber bereits erkennbar.

Die ukrainischsprachige Broschüre entstand 2018 im Rahmen eines Shoah-Gedenkprojektes in der westukrainischen Kleinstadt Zolociv/Solotschiw (Zloczów). Die 1. Auflage der Gedenkbroschüre bestand aus 300 Exemplaren. Sie besteht aus einem Vorwort (in ukrainischer Übersetzung und im englischen Original) des in Zloczów geborenen Shoah-Überlebenden und späteren amerikanischen Nobelpreisträgers (in Chemie) Prof. Dr. Roald Hoffmann, sowie aus einer neuen ukrainischen Übersetzung einer bestehenden englischen Übersetzung (https://www.jewishgen.org/yizkor/Zolochiv/Zolochiv.html#TOC) des jiddischsprachigen Memorbuches "Der untergang fun Zlotshev" (The Fall of Zloczów) von Szlojme Mayer (Munich: Farlag Ibergang, 1947). In seinem Memorbuch berichtet der Verfasser über die deutschen Verbrechen gegen die jüdische Bevölkerung, aber auch über ukrainische Kollaboration im Holocaust. Roald Hoffmann reflektiert in seinem Vorwort über ukrainisch-jüdische Beziehungen in Vergangenheit und Gegenwart und berichtet kurz über sein Überleben im Holocaust mit der Hilfe von Ukrainern.

Abstract:

Listeria monocytogenes are bacteria that cause listeriosis, a disease which is very severe in vulnerable people. Vulnerable people include pregnant women, people over 65 years of age, infants, and those with a weakened immune system. While most semi-soft cheeses do not let L. monocytogenes grow, blue cheeses may be an exception, and pose a risk to vulnerable groups. L. monocytogenes is widespread in the environment and can grow at refrigeration temperatures. This makes it a particular problem in ready-to-eat foods such as cheese. It can also remain in the environment in food factories for several years as it can be difficult to remove. Foodborne listeriosis is a relatively rare illness in comparison to other foodborne diseases. A search found two potential listeriosis outbreaks and one individual case may have been caused by blue cheese worldwide. No listeriosis illnesses due to blue cheese were identified in the UK. Blue cheese is not frequently consumed by vulnerable consumers. When consumed, it is usually in low amounts. Published data from Scottish local authorities and the Food Standards Agency suggest that overall percentage of blue cheeses contaminated with L. monocytogenes in the UK is low. A search of the scientific literature on contamination in blue cheese from European countries found that most of these studies examined Gorgonzola cheese. The rinds of Gorgonzola were much more likely to be contaminated than the centre of the cheese. Research also shows that the acidic levels and levels of moisture in blue cheese can support L. monocytogenes growth. Most of these studies showed only a small amount of bacterial growth in the centre of the cheese.
