Abstract:
Zusammenfassung Hintergrund Die Leichenschau als der letzte Dienst des Arztes am Patienten ist in den letzten Jahren zunehmend in die Kritik geraten. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es anhand der Daten aus Chemnitz zu untersuchen, welchen Einfluss der Sterbeort, der leichenschauende Arzt, das Alter und Geschlecht der Verstorbenen auf die Kodierungsvollständigkeit und Kodierungsqualität der Todesursachen in den Todesbescheinigungen hat. Methoden Es wurden insgesamt 15 612 Todesbescheinigungen und 353 Obduktionsscheine des Gesundheitsamts Chemnitz aus den Sterbebuchjahren 2010–2013 ausgewertet. Es wurden die Merkmale Alter, Geschlecht, Todesursache nach Erstleichenschau sowie nach evtl. erfolgter Obduktion, Todesart und eventuelle Komplikationen im Rahmen der zweiten Leichenschau erfasst. Zusätzlich wurde die Sterbeort- und Leichenschauarzt-Kategorie erhoben. Außerdem wurden mangelhaft oder falsch kodierte Todesbescheinigungen berichtigt und eine Übereinstimmungsanalyse durchgeführt. Die Auswertung erfolgte hierbei gemäß den formalen Kriterien des Deutschen Instituts für Medizinische Dokumentation und Information für das grundsätzliche Ausfüllen von Todesbescheinigungen. Ergebnisse Die Obduktionsrate betrug 2,3%. Das Grundleiden wurde in 34,1% nicht dokumentiert. Die Übereinstimmung zwischen qualitätsgesicherter Nachkodierung und der primären 3-stelligen ICD-10 Kodierung war hoch (96,5%). Hohes Alter und Sterben außerhalb des Krankenhauses sowie die Durchführung der Leichenschau durch einen Arzt, der nicht im Krankenhaus die Leichenschau durchführt, waren mit einer höheren Wahrscheinlichkeit einer ICD-10 Fehlkodierung assoziiert. Die beobachtete Übereinstimmung des 3-stelligen ICD-10 kodierten Grundleidens des Leichenschauscheins und Obduktionsscheins betrug 26,3%. In 24,2% enthielt das Grundleiden sogenannte Garbage Codes, die für eine Todesursachenstatistik ungeeignet sind. Schlussfolgerungen Ärzte müssen dafür sensibilisiert werden, Leichenschauscheine ordnungsgemäß auszufüllen. Die Obduktion führt sehr häufig zu einer Änderung des Grundleidens, weswegen die Obduktion eine wichtige Qualitätskontrolle der Todesursachenfeststellung bleibt. Das ICD-10 Kodieren ist keine primär ärztliche Tätigkeit und sollte nicht gesetzlich von Ärzten eingefordert werden.

Abstract:
A new trigonotarbid (Arachnida: Trigonotarbida) is described as <i>Permotarbus schuberti</i> n. gen., n. sp. from the Early Permian Petrified Forest (Rotliegend) of Chemnitz in Saxony (Germany). At ca. 290 Ma it represents the youngest record of this extinct arachnid order discovered to date. Its familial affinities are uncertain, but may lie close to the Aphantomartidae. The distribution of the trigonotarbid genera through time is summarised, together with a list of their seventy-seven fossil-yielding localities. Together they offer a broad overview of the group's fossil record, which is heavily biased towards the Moscovian Stage (ca. 307–312 Ma) of the Late Carboniferous in Europe and North America. This is due in no small part to numerous localities associated with coal mining districts, and trigonotarbids are found less frequently after this stage. While it is tempting to associate this with biological events – such as a putative "Carboniferous Rainforest Collapse" dating to ca. 305 Ma – it is difficult to differentiate the effects of genuine extinction patterns from artefacts caused by fewer appropriate localities in the economically less relevant latest Carboniferous and Early Permian strata. IntroductionIn Germany a consistent, performance-oriented, flat-rate remuneration system based on per-day payments for inpatient and day patient hospital services for psychiatric and psychosomatic facilities (PEPP) is developed. The Klinikum Chemnitz gGmbH decided in 2013 to participate in the optional PEPP introducing phase and acts as a PEPP cost accounting hospital.ObjectivesDue to a controversial discussion by the psychiatric experts, an adjustment of the hitherto only performance-based to a budget-oriented system based on PEPP is planned in 2017.AimsThis paper discusses if the current PEPP remuneration system enables an appropriate recognition and measurement of services.MethodsDescriptive analyses were performed by comparing inpatient and day patient treatment at a therapy oriented psychiatric unit and the emergency psychiatric unit in 2015. The evaluation primarily focused on the criteria of “staffing level and structure”, “imaging of services by German procedure classification (OPS) according to PEPP”, “PEPP remuneration”.ResultsOur findings (Table 1) show that in 2015 the PEPP remuneration system provided an appropriate recognition of unit-specific services in emergency psychiatry (e.g., 1 to 1 care, intensive care treatment), but services of board certified therapeutic staff were recognized inadequately in consequence of the definition of therapy by the OPS catalogue.ConclusionFurther development of payment system should implicate changes in the definition of therapy according to scientific guidelines and the pay for performance concept.Table 1Disclosure of interestActivity as a speaker, Janssen-Cilag GmbH.

Der Ersatzneubau des Ottendorfer Viadukts auf der Bahnstrecke Riesa–Chemnitz stellt hinsichtlich dessen Einbindung in die örtliche Umgebung, der kurzen Bauzeit und der gewählten Bautechnologie eine Besonderheit im Eisenbahnbrückenbau dar. Ebenso gilt das zu Grunde liegende statische System, ein rahmenversteiftes Bogentragwerk mit einer Gesamtlänge von circa 91 m und einer Bogenstützweite von circa 75 m, als Novum im Brückenbau der Deutschen Bahn. Nachfolgend wird das Projekt vorgestellt, Schwerpunkte liegen auf den Grundlagen des Entwurfes, Besonderheiten der konstruktiven Durchbildung sowie der baubetrieblichen Umsetzung innerhalb einer viermonatigen Sperrpause.

Abstract:
The paper presents an intercultural serious game ‘Experiment D’, which was developed in a cooperation between the junior professor of Intercultural Competence (Chemnitz University of Technology) and the chair of Social Work Management (FHD Dresden – University of Applied Sciences). The game was successfully tested and assessed in the summer term 2017 and 2018. The main plot consists of a communicative negotiation and strategic handling of a complex situation at university that involves various stakeholders, both within and without it. The game fosters cultural awareness and self-reflection, appreciation of and a creative approach towards diversity, as well as general communicative, social, and team competences. Since it does not require any specialised prior knowledge, ‘Experiment D’ potentially addresses students of all disciplines. The participants of the two test sessions were students of the study fields MERGE Technologies for Resource Efficiency (study component “Soft Skills”, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering) and Intercultural Communication and Competence (compulsory study component Intercultural Learning, Faculty of Humanities) at the Chemnitz University of Technology. Ethnicity, nationality, first language(s), degree of proficiency in English and German, and academic background were all factors that engendered a highly diverse game setting. Aside from the concept of the game, as well as its methodology and didactics, the paper also discusses the results of its assessment.

Abstract:
Boiler and steam piping components in power plants are fabricated using creep strength enhanced ferritic (CSEF) steels, which often operate at temperatures above 550°C. Modification of alloy content within these steels has produced better creep performance and higher operating temperatures, which increases the process efficiency of power plants. The improved materials, however, are susceptible to type IV cracking at the welded regions. A better understanding of type IV cracking in these materials is required and is the basis of the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) UK funded VALID (Verified Approaches to Life Management & Improved Design of High Temperature Steels for Advanced Steam Plants) project. In order to study the relationship between creep performance and heat input during welding, several welds with varying amounts of heat input and resultant HAZ widths were produced using the electron beam welding process. The welding parameters were developed with the aid of weld process modeling using the finite element (FE) method, in which the welding parameters were optimized to produce low, medium and high heat input welds. In this paper, the modeling approach and the development of electron beam welds in ASTM A387 grade P92 pipe material are presented. Creep specimens were extracted from the welded pipes and testing is ongoing. Abstract:
MitmachX – das Heft ist der alternative Projektbericht für das Stadtlabor im Rahmen des BMBF–Projekts Mitmach_X (2019-2021). Ziel des Projekts war es zu untersuchen, wie es besser gelingt, Menschen an Prozessen zu beteiligen. In diesem Mitmach_Heft teilen wir unsere Erfahrungen. Dabei berichten wir nicht nur, wie unser Forschungsprojekt und die Ausgestaltung unser Projektphasen aussahen und sich weiterentwickelten, sondern laden auch dazu ein, unsere Methoden als Rezeptvorschläge zu verstehen und sich von ihnen zum Mitmachen und Nachmachen anregen zu lassen. In diesem Heft reflektieren wir — was das Zeug hält — über unsere Rolle, über den Ort des Stadtlabors, über den Kontext der Stadt, in der wir uns befinden, über die Methoden, die wir entwickelt und angewendet haben und natürlich darüber, welche Früchte diese getragen haben.
