This dissertation examines the effects of conventionally categorizing working artists and looks specifically at the Cherub Company, London, as a case study. Cherub was an alternative British theatre company whose work in the 1980s defied most of the categories which inscribed theatre practice in Britain. Because they did not fit canonical definitions, Cherub was said to be producing “bad” theatre. Abstract:

This thesis is the first modern joint study of biblical Cherubim and Seraphim. I begin by setting out the recent history of their interpretation, before taking each of the biblical texts in turn. Chapter 1 looks at the references to Cherubim in Ezekiel. I argue that the Cherubim in Ezek. 1-11 are based upon the two large Cherubim in the sanctuary in Jerusalem. I investigate the different traditions represented by LXX and MT versions of Ezek. 28 and identify a tradition which may account for the MT of this chapter. Chapter 2 covers the other descriptions of living Cherubim in the biblical texts

With a radiometric age of 396 ± 12 ma, the Rhynie Cherts, Grampian Region, Scotland, are the oldest unequivocal surface expression of an epithermal system in the world. Data is presented from 8 cored boreholes drilled within 100m of the Rhynie Cherts subcrop. The cherts are present in the upper part of the Lower Devonian basin infill which forms the Rhynie outlier. The basin is a half-graben structure, with a northeast/southwest trending western boundary, following the regional stress trend. In the area of the Rhynie Cherts, the western boundary is complicated by a series of cross faults. The

What are the biblical cherubim? In the Hebrew Bible, the physical appearance and cultic role of the cherubim are never explicitly elucidated. Largely, the authors assume their audience is familiar with the form and function of these heavenly beings. Yet the portrayal of the cherubim varies from text to text and, sometimes, we are given conflicting information. The Wide-View Charge Exchange Recombination Spectroscopy (CXRS) diagnostic at Alcator C-Mod, originally designed for measurement of boron, has been modified to fit several different roles. By measuring the He¹⁺ (n = 4 [rightwards arrow] 3) emission line at 4686Å and surrounding spectra, we can measure ⁴He and ³He density, temperature, and velocity profiles and use this information to study turbulent impurity transport.
