The aim of this paper is to propose a new similarity measure of singlevalued neutrosophic sets (SVNSs). The idea of the construction of the new similarity measure comes from Chi-square distance measure, which is an important measure in the applications of image analysis and statistical inference. Numerical examples are provided to show the superiority of the proposed similarity measure comparing with the existing similarity measures of SVNSs. A weighted similarity is also put forward based on the proposed similarity. Some examples are given to show the effectiveness and practicality of the pro

The aim of this study was to compare in vivo the accuracy of two electronic foramen locators (EFLs) based on different operation systems - Root ZX and Propex II. Ten healthy adult patients needing premolar extractions due to orthodontic reasons participated in the study, providing a sample of 17 noncarious, non-restored, vital teeth (n= 24 canals). After coronal access preparation and cervical preflaring and prior to tooth extraction, the root canal length was measured alternating the two EFLs. All measurements were performed with K-files well fitted to the canal diameter at the level that eac

Exercise-induced pulmonary hemorrhage (EIPH) is a very common condition in racehorses and is characterized by an alteration of the respiratory system. Depending on the magnitude, EIPH causes bleeding in lung passages making breathing difficult. EIPH is evaluated by endoscopies on a scale from 0 to 5, with 0 corresponding to no hemorrhage and 5 to a severe condition. In Puerto Rico, the only preventive measure used is the administration of a diuretic 4 h before the race. A data set was analyzed to determine factors associated with the incidence of EIPH and the preventive effect of the diuretic.
