Chill brines used in ready-to-eat meat processing may be an important source of post-processing contamination by Listeria monocytogenes. The purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy of ultraviolet light (UV) in combination with antimicrobials to reduce L. monocytogenes in fresh and used chill brines. It commemorates Chun-niang Lin, a female resident who lived from the Qianlong period to the Tongzhi period of Qing dynasty. Originally from Zhongzhuang of Da'an District, she became a child bride in the Yu family at age of seven. She then became a widow at the age of twelve, after the passing of her fiancé Rong-chang Yu.
