Full textLibraries are dynamic spaces, centers of learning and recreation that need to be in consonance with the public they serve. Because of its importance in relation to cognitive development, emancipation, in terms of learning, culture and socialization imbricated to its essence, children\'s libraries are the subject of this research. Recognizing that the good use of the library is intrinsically connected with aspects related to the spatial organization and to the equipments that belong to these libraries, this research has as its main objective, to understand how kids interact with these libraries and its equipments, aiming to extract from the analysis of these experiences, aspects that may be useful for future projects related to this area of study. To make it possible, a bibliographical research was realized in aiming to understand the creation of the childhood\'s concept, as a cultural aspect and also about the relevance of the creation of the Municipal Children\'s Library (nowadays called Biblioteca Infantojuvenil Monteiro Lobato) to the city of São Paulo in the 1930s. In addition, aspects concerning the essence of the Infoeducation were discussed, which guided the analysis of the spaces studied here. A compilation of the furniture provided by the Brazilian industry for schools and libraries and an analysis of libraries with children\'s spaces that have innovative projects for the areas of design and architecture are also part of this research. Finally, there are two cases of children\'s libraries (a public children library and a school library), collecting data related to the performance of children between six and nine years old, with an addition of data collected with other characters that are directly or indirectly part of the experience of the kids at these places, such as parents and / or guardians, librarians and storytellers. The analysis of the data collected and the results obtained with the cases were confronted using a triangulation of the data generated with the aspects related to the Infoeducation and the furniture offered by the Brazilian industry in general, making it possible to generate considerations about the results obtained with this experience.

Abstract: In transportation, for ambulances, children are exposed to fatal risks by transported in adult gurneys that are not adapted to child anthropometry. The situation is escalated when considering the fact that the ambulances move up in high speeds and with frequently need to reduce abruptly velocity. In this field, we tried to design, build and test a prototype gurney with an effective restraint system for emergency transport children. The differential of the project regards to other children gurneys that exist in the international market; its versatility to perform both transport in ambulances and possible land rescue. Child gurney enables a wide range of small patients from children with one (1) until ten (10) years old, designed for fast handling and storage by be foldable and easy to install on any adult gurney standardized by ABNT. The main safety factor is linked to the adjustable retention system with facility for rapid attachment and the child's removal. Impact tests were performed, with an approximate speed of 18 (twenty) km / h, using the adult gurney and child gurney. The dummy with mass 22 kg, representing a child with 6 (six) years old, was installed in sitting and lying positions. Data collected via a computer program Kinovea suitable for biomechanical analysis, allowed to estimate displacement of the dummy with great precision. It was used a smartphone based on Android operational system to register decelerations occurred on impact. Child gurney had a higher retention regarding to adult gurney both the displacement of the head when the dummy torso restraint. In two teste with lying position, the dummy was ejected out of the gurney, fact that had never happened with child gurney. Tests conducted with the prototype gurney validated the project and the constructive solution that are bind to a patent to will be implanted in Brazil

Under the trend of pregnancy at advanced maternal age and low birth rate, the modern parents are willing to pay more attention and money on raising children. It makes them become a consumption group which should not be underestimated. Children grow fast mentally and physically, which makes children furniture unusable soon and causes crowded space in the house. Most predecessors of the children furniture brands in Taiwan were operated by original equipment manufacturing. The brands were not built until these years, but they are still limited to goods sales without multidimensional operation plans. However, their development of service innovation still has high plasticity. The purposes of this study are to discuss consumer’s needs of services from children furniture businesses via consumer service decision processes, to find out consumers’ expectations and observe the services provided by children furniture businesses simultaneously via consumer questionnaires, and finally to conclude strategies for service innovation verified via expert questionnaires, making the services from the children furniture industry more diverse and multidimensional and thereby building the market segmentation. The study results showed that: (1) “Information service” is what the most needed to customers in the process of buying and using child furniture, as well as what the most deficient to businesses, becoming the biggest service gap, (2) Child furniture businesses currently keep operating with the basic consumption process service model and extremely lack innovative and systematic service plans, (3) To draw up different strategies for service innovation according to consumer decision processes would more easily be accepted, (4) “Virtual technology service” is a common consensus between the industrial and academic circles, and (5) The biggest cognitive difference the industrial and academic circles have is the dimension “new customer surface.”
