Abstract:
Children's and adolescent literature have a long-life span in the history of mankind and is considered one of the major parts of the literature in every nation. Children's and teenagers' literature received worldwide attention from the 17th century AD. In the 18th century, scientists drew the attention of educators and people to children's literature by research publishing works. In our rich classical literature, there is not much research done on children's literature. However, various works have been done for children in recent years. The first children's magazine in Afghanistan was Siraj-ul-Atfal, which was published continuously with Siraj-ul-Akhbar. This magazine was mostly educational and entertaining, and most of its content was general information, scientific topics, religious and moral content in the form of poems and stories. After publishing the children literature in Siraj-ul-Akhbar, other publications also started about children's literature in Afghanistan, such as children’s friendship, youngs friendship, and children's voice. Some writers have also done research on children's literature in Afghanistan, such as Abdul Qayyum Qoyim, Mohammad Hossein Yamin, Paizi Hanafi, Habibullah Rafi, Dr Asadullah Khitfi, Seyyed Davoud Zahdi, Pouya Faryabi, Asif Behand, Raziq Varin, and Osman Najand.

Abstract:
Children's literature has now begun to shift to digital media, known as children’s animation. Instead of children's literature being created for children, these works are written, edited and distributed by adults. This shows that adults (parents) have full power over the work that children will consume. Colonialism theory then questions what it means to write for children. This research appears with the real assumption of where the child is positioned in children’s cyber literature. The postcolonial approach is used to verify this assumption. The results show that children are treated as objects, a means to endure real problems faced by adults. It appears that writing for children in addition to exploring is also stuffing and imposing the will for the needs of adults: guiding children, training children through the process of reaching civilization which is again the power of adults to define it.

Abstract:
In the works of children's poets, ideas of a deep understanding of the worldview, training, education and development are laid. Children's literature is part of the general literature. Children's writers are age-sensitive authors In children's poems, it is always relevant to talk about the people's pedagogical meaning and content. It is not only children's literature, but also literature that finds the language and soul of children matching to their psychology. From the very beginning, its goal was to educate children, introduce them to the environment, the world in which they live, and teach them life skills. Of these, the folk-pedagogical character of children's literature is especially appreciated. This scientific article examines the educational functions of works written for children, which are our future, and their significance in modern conditions.

Abstract:
Objectives The purpose of this paper is to compare and analyze all the children's literature books on primary English textbooks that are currently used in primary school English classes in Korea, and to discuss their current status, problems, and improvements. Methods Five types of primary English textbooks for each of 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades were collected. Children's literature included in each English textbook was compared and analyzed by dividing it into four criteria: type, subject matter, degree of original content modification, and teaching method by referring to previous re-search and related theories. The teaching method was subdivided into language function and learning time for comparative analysis. Results As for the types of children's literature, ‘traditional literature’ was the mainstream in the 3rd & 4th grades while there were many ‘realistic literature books’ in the 5th & 6th grades. For the subject matter, the 3rd & 6th graders introduced ‘personal life’, the 4th graders introduced ‘public morality’, and the 5th graders introduced ‘cultural differences’ the most. In terms of the degree of adaptation of the original content of children's literature, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders partially adapted the original children's literature work in the form of a script to review the learning goals and communication functions of the learned unit. Most of the 6th children's literature was newly created by the textbook writers so that students can review the lesson of the learned unit. The method of teaching children's literature focuses on speaking, listening, and some simple writing activities in the 3rd grade, and at-tempts were made to integrate speaking, listening, writing, and reading in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. Children's literature was organized so that most of the grades were simply taught as a single lesson. Conclusions Since the types of children's literature are limited to a few types in primary English textbooks, it is necessary to introduce more diverse types of children's literature. In addition, children's original literature was adapted so much to review the communication functions of learned lesson, depriving of students’ interest on the literature, so more careful consideration is needed when modifying children's literature. It is also needed to in-crease the lesson time of teaching children’s literature and to provide children's literature guidance with more di-verse and interesting activities.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the history of Siberian regional children's book publishing. The author has collected theoretic-practical opinions of historians, bibliologists, publishers and booksellers, librarians and bibliographers, psychologists and sociologists, which purpose is to generalize and reveal regularities of books' flow for children. V. G. Belinsky, L. N. Tolstoy, F. G. Tol’, N. V. Chekhov developed the first concepts of children's book. N. K. Krupskaya, V. A. Sukhomlinsky studied the «core» of the children book repertoire. V. G. Sopikov, B. S. Bondarsky reviewed children's literature of the 19th century in their bibliographic works. The author allocated some organizational components using formal-logical, comparative-historical and structural-typological methods. The first block is related to studying such definitions as «children's book», «children's literature», «editions for children», «a circle of childhood reading», «the repertoire of children's books», their typological signs. The presented concepts are investigated according to tasks, which children's editions solve. S. G. Antonova and S. A. Karaichentseva touched issues of children's literature typology in their publications. The second block of literature reveals the children's book development in Russia in various periods of its formation. I. E. Barenbaum, A. A. Grechikhin, A. A. Belovitskaya studied general fundamentals of the book's history, while A. Ivich, L. Kohn, I. Lupanova considered the history of children’s books. The third block is devoted to printing and art features of the children's book design, activity of universal and specialized publishing houses to distribute literature for children. The fourth block explains such category as «reader - library», considers techniques of work with children's book, offers methodical recommendations for teachers and tutors. Readers’ activity is examined as well. The author analyzes interests, factors, incentives and aims influencing childhood reading. Dissertation researches disclose the regional specifics of children's book publishing in 1980-2013, confirm the considered subject relevance. The historical, comparative, formal and logical analysis carried out by the author will be useful both the specialists in publishing and editorial affairs, researchers studying the history and development of the children's book, historians, and teachers in the educational process of such courses as «Publishing and Editing», «Children's Literature», «Book Science». The author concludes that the children's book has been studied in different periods of its development in the context of numerous aspects, directions and components, which makes it possible to reveal the special patterns of its existence.

Abstract:
The aim of the presented study is to define the specifics of applying constructive principles and techniques of language game in modeling mental spaces in children's literature works. The research novelty lies in identifying the potential of language game in modeling denotative spaces of literary texts for children, particularly in creating occasional onyms and toponyms, modeling children's speech, including through the imitation of unintentional word formation in children's language. Language game is viewed not only as a means of modeling mental spaces but also as a tool to immerse a child into the system of language, introduce them to the laws of artistic texts, engage in linguistic creative activities, provoke children to engage in independent language creation, and linguistic experiments. The obtained results have shown that using language game techniques in creating mental spaces in children's literature serves both as a means of expressing the author's intention and as a method of creatively exploring children's language consciousness and mentality.

Abstract:
Abstract: The aim of this study was to discuss aspects of childhood bruxism through a literature review, addressing the etiological factors as well as signs, symptoms and clinical characteristics of this condition. It is very important to master the signs and symptoms for a more accurate diagnosis by pediatric dentistry professionals. Treatment is multidisciplinary for this parafunctional condition. The results showed that bruxism is a non-functional habit of the masticatory function, which is characterized by the act of squeezing or grinding the teeth, occurring both during the day and during sleep. The etiology is multifactorial and the literature presents several, such as associated factors: dental, physiological, psychological and neurological. The most common sign is some wear on the incisal surfaces, especially on the anterior teeth, and occlusal on the posterior teeth. It also tends to cause tooth hypersensitivity, fracture of the cusps and restorations, and hypertonicity of masticatory muscles. It was concluded that knowing the etiological factors and clinical characteristics of bruxism in childhood is important for a diagnosis as quickly as possible, allowing an early treatment that favors the child's well-being.Keywords: bruxism; kids; pediatric dentistry.

Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to raise the awareness about authors of children's literature and about the essential needs of such creative profiles, particularly for schoolchildren in primary schooling. Indeed, the appeal of literature cannot endure or develop incessantly within the imaginary framework, without its function. Thus, this literature would not be stalwartly notable from the general literature, but in fact, exactly on account of its function, it is treated and remains as such, as entirely separate, special and inspiring, not only owing to its written nature, but also because of the message it provides, and that must continuously provide. Its function must head towards education, in the general sense of the word, i.e. towards morality, ethics and aesthetics, and thus stay away from moralizing and ideologies, since only by being as such and in this position, it could fulfil its educational and pedagogical mission. Albanian children's literature, though having a late tradition compared to such literatures outside the Albanian-speaking territories, has, nevertheless, had its own dawn of growth and cultural development. This tradition has been followed by generations of authors, with the only purpose so that children could keep up with the times and other historical and cultural developments. For this reason, our literature, no matter how beautiful it may be, no matter how inspiring it may be, is still being challenged, particularly in the new century. The rapid developments of the technology and information is taking its toll, and day by day children's literature seems to be losing its function, and there is an impression that it has been left behind by these advances. With the view to making this ingenuity attractive, literary criticism must work, and through its analytical efforts, it would make it understandable, because not all of the readers (or very few) manage to understand the messages, and analyse the meaning of figurative language of artistic writing, therefore interpretation, and mediation in this matter takes its true role. Literary criticism and its role is irreplaceable, not only as a theory, but also as a science in itself. It would make the literary art more acceptable and necessary in school books, especially with the acceptable psychological and pedagogical scientific suggestions. After all, children's literature itself has a goal, i.e. artistic and ethical education through acceptable literary forms. Received: 8 December 2022 / Accepted: 6 April 2023 / Published: 5 May 2023

Abstract:
Children's literature, as the name suggests, is a literary work created for children and teenagers, and it plays an important role in their growth process, accompanied by the functions of education, entertainment and cognitive formation. In recent years, China's translation research has been greatly improved, but the research on children's literature translation is still lacking. The translators of children's literature are mostly adults, but the audience is children. Under the guidance of aesthetic theory, the author, from the perspective of children's readers, puts children at the center, aiming to meet their reading needs. so, this paper explores the translation of children's literature on the basis of acceptance aesthetics from the original text-centered to reader-centered, and take the Su Nong's translation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and the original version as an example to explore the vocabulary, rhetoric and translation of magic spells. In terms of rhetoric, the author skillfully uses metaphors, rhymes, and parallelism techniques to make the translation reflect the stylistic style of the original text as much as possible, simultaneously increasing literary talent and bringing pleasant artistic enjoyment to children. This paper aims to popularize different perspectives and interpretations of children's literature translation for the general public, and better enable children to appreciate the aesthetics and charm of Chinese and English texts so that they can grow up healthily and develop comprehensively.

Abstract:
Our work investigation is divided into two parts, the first part will be the framework in which we will give the explanation of the general concept of children's literature and translation of children's literature based on the opinions and theories of the most known researchers in this field, showing that children's literature from its origins to modern times, has been a social historical product, conditioned and determined by educational, philosophical, cultural, etc. factors prevailing in different historical moments. In the second part we discussed the practical framework of a work, the story of "The Secret Dream King" is the source of which we have based, is one of the stories of Spanish author Joan Manuel Gisbert was published in a collection of didactic tales approved by the ministry of Education and Science of Spain in the año1987. The translation of children's works, despite the flourishing of general translation studies, had called little academic attention, a situation that has only been modified recently. In fact, much of the current interest is due to the promotion of children's literature in the publishing market; impulse that did away with the controversy over the very existence of a children's literature, which was no stranger to the absence of theoretical studies of translation.

Abstract:
Children's books have the potential to affect cultural norms and attitudes about older adults in many ways. The purpose of this study was to investigate the portrayal of grandparents in children's literature. Sixty-four children's books published since 1985 were randomly selected and content analyzed. In general, there was an overwhelming positive portrayal of grandparents in these books. Positive grandparent characteristics such as independence and happiness were depicted in a majority of the books the authors examined. Other characteristics such as wisdom and understanding were portrayed in slightly less than a majority of the stories. Although some of the stories depicted grandparents with various disabilities, physical impairment did not detract from the positive depiction of the grandparent. Future research might investigate the variance in the portrayal of grandparents along racial/ethnic and gender lines. For example, how are grandparents from various demographic groups portrayed in terms of status, wisdom, functional abilities, or equity?

Abstract:
Children's literature studies need to be developed in schools. This is reasonable because literature has an important role in building children's character. Literary literacy has the scope of empowering elementary school children to love literature, one of which is folklore. Folklore is a vehicle for achieving goals in understanding various aspects of life, acting as a step in preserving existing local culture. This is felt to be necessary at this time because many of the younger generation have forgotten the culture which is the heritage of their ancestors and the pride of their identity. Children prefer to watch television or play games on cell phones. Teachers' knowledge of literature is very low, literature is taught by unprofessional teachers, teachers do not understand how to teach literature well, teachers have not taught with appropriate strategies in literary literacy. Elementary school is the main means for developing literary literacy. Elementary school is an important means of balancing the development of character education while continuing to teach everything related to good values. One of the processes that includes learning is literary literacy. Teacher creativity in literary literacy learning needs to be increased because with creative literature teachers it is hoped that the literary learning that occurs will really be liked by children. Likewise, the local government's political attention must be to appreciate and accommodate literary literacy in schools, study groups, libraries and reading houses.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the changes that took place in the Buryat children's literature at the turn of the Soviet and post-Soviet eras in the context of sociocultural transformations caused by the collapse of the USSR and the formation of new identities in the post-Soviet space. The discourses of identity found in the children's literature of this period, their interaction and dynamics are investigated. The purpose of the study is to determine the specifics of the transformation of the identity of the Buryat children's literature in this transitional period. The material of the study is Buryat children's magazines and plays published in the period from 1985 to 1995. The study is based on a diachronic approach. The main research methods are cultural-historical and discourse analysis methods. As a result, it was established that as a result of the crisis of Soviet culture and the formation of the discourse of national revival in Buryat children's literature, there was a gradual replacement of Soviet identity with a new national identity. Prior to this transformation, Buryat children's literature was aimed at the formation of a Soviet identity associated with the communist ideology, the party and the pioneer movement, the idea of the unity of the Soviet nations, the events of the general Soviet history, such as the October Revolution and the Great Patriotic War. After the changes that took place, Buryat children's literature began to focus primarily on the formation of a national identity based on familiarization with the traditions of Buddhism, the culture of the Mongolian peoples, and the history of the Buryats, out of touch with the Soviet statehood.

Abstract:
From a critical perspective, children's literature is considered a public discourse. It is a collection of ideas championed in the public sphere about something happening or being discussed that forms a particular point of view. Children's literature often becomes a tool of ideological struggle. The authors, primarily adults, consciously or unconsciously, tend to impose certain ideologies on young readers. So, children's literature is constantly exposed to a specific ideology. Researching children's literature is essentially revealing the ideology championed by the author. In this qualitative study, data were collected from research on children's literature which was utilized as a means of struggle or the cultivation of certain ideologies. The results show that there are at least seven world children's literature groups that are used as a tool for ideological struggle: (1) naturalizing the ideology of racial domination, (2) naturalizing heroic stories, (3) debating controversial historical stories in the past, (4) fighting for environmental ideologies, (5) comparing competing state ideologies, (6) forming ideological criticism, and (7) naturalizing critical perspectives and awareness.

Abstract:
This study examined the structure and characteristics of Yoon Se-pyeong's two legends, ‘Neungrado and Juamsan’ and ‘Hulryeongdosa,’ while examining the patterns of children's literary activities during the period of North Korea. Yoon Se-pyeong contributed to the expansion of the acceptance of children's literature by leading the “Literature Newspaper” from the period when the controversy over North Korean children's literature heated up. Neungrado and Juamsan, published above Yoon Se-pyeong's participation in children's literature, conveys the interest of legends according to historical records and awakens the dignity of the socialist capital plain. On the other hand, the legend of “Hulryeongdosa,” based on the Imjin War, added a heroic narrative of the Imjin War along with historical records. Through this, it has a sense of purpose to resist the anti-foreign power combined by the people. In the future, I hope that research will continue to enrich the connotation of North Korean children's literature.

Abstract:
This paper investigates critically the approaches to picturebooks as used in the history of philosophy for children (P4C) movement. Our concern with picturebooks rests mainly on Morteza Khosronejad's broader criticism that children's literature has been treated instrumentally by early founders of P4C, the consequence of which is abolishing the independent voice of this literature (2007). As such it demands that we scrutinize the position of children's literature in the history of this educational program, as well as other genres and forms, including picturebooks as a highly valued artistic-literary form to educationalists. In our inquiry, we probe, therefore, the transition of approaches to picturebooks concomitantly with the investigation of the transition of approaches to children's literature. This research evinces that some later scholars and practitioners of P4C have departed significantly not only from Lipman's approach to children's literature and picturebooks, but also from his conceptualization of childhood and philosophy for children. Meanwhile, it demonstrates that in spite of P4C scholars' taking effective steps to address children's literature in general and picturebooks in particular, there are some steps for them to take in order to fully recognize this literature as an independent branch of knowledge and picturebooks as artistic-literary unique works. While revealing the limitations and paradoxes that P4C scholars continue to deal with, in this article, we see Khosronejad's earlier idea (2007) as a suggestion to overcome the instrumentalization of children's literature and picturebooks in P4C. Fundamental dialogue with children's literature theorists particularly those of picturebooks will open new horizons to the realization of our suggestion.

This study attempted to investigate the experiences of parents in utilizing children's literature to support teaching and learning. The purpose of this study was to explore parents’ knowledge towards children’s literature and employed qualitative methods as the mode of inquiry. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with nine Muslim parents from various countries with the aims to investigate the literature’ preference for young children, the main source of literature and the methods used to teach literature. The three found themes translated to our research findings: fiction is the most preferred genre of literature among the parents, Al-Quran and the Prophets’ stories as the main source of literature for Muslim parents, and theatre as a medium to introduce literature. Finally, future researchers are recommended to adapt this study to a larger scale of Muslim respondents to test its confirmability and credibility.

Abstract:
Central issues represented in four recent Norwegian books for children are children's resistance to step-parents, children's attempts to cope with family violence, and inverted relationships where children take responsibility for mentally unstable parents. The literary texts I have chosen as examples are three novels: Ingeborg Arvola's Blod, snørr og tårer (2000) (Blood, Snot and Tears); Kristin A. Sandberg's Verdens ondeste stemor (2004) (The World's Worst Stepmother); Endre Lund Eriksen's Pitbull-Terje går amok (2002) (Pitbull Terrier Runs Amok); and Gro Dahle and Svein Nyhus's picture book Sinna mann (2003) (Angry Man) My aim in this article is to explore how problems and survival strategies of children in troubled families are described and developed in these texts, and what stylistic devices and narrative techniques are employed. My analysis of the representations of nerves, violence and step-parents in four children's books draws on arguments from theories about philosophy and literature in general, children's literature, narrative analysis and attachment theories in child psychology.

After it became established, children's literature swiftly branched out into several subcategories. The transition was prompted by fundamental differences in personal preferences, diverse demographics, shifting reader profiles, and even pressure from the publishers. As reader preferences shifted and the borders blurred, constant churning ensured that ever-newer genres formed. Given the lack of established genres and the imaginative writers who went against the grain in India, this was much more apparent.
