Full textInner Mongolia (now a province of the PRC) had more than a thousand lamaist temples and monasteries at the beginning of the 20th century. This very valuable and little studied collection of buildings is a major heritage of the Mongol culture and the Buddhist art and deserves study on both accounts. Although derived from the Chinese and Tibetan architectural traditions, Mongolian religious architecture exhibits a great many original characteristics. The first part of the dissertation studies the historical process of the building of the monasteries, from the “mongol renaissance” of the mid-16th century, around Altan Qan and his capital Köke Qota, to this century. The second part describes the physical aspect of the monasteries, as they could be studied during fieldwork completed between 1993 and 1998, supplemented with various published material (Chinese local history and gazetteers, Japanese observations of the Manchukuo period and travelogues). The third part builds on the description and the history to give an analysis of the major characteristics of Mongolian religious architecture, and finally determines its major types as well as their historical significance. Field material (maps, photographs. . . ) are provided in the appendix

Full textThe temple of Heaven in Pekin constitutes not only an excellent area for architectural studies, it also provides a perfect example illustrating the layout method and module system. By researching the initial modules used for the layout, it was important to trace stages of architectural history and make comparisons with the different historical periods mentioned in ancient texts. This study has produced interesting results which provides explanations showing how architectural coherence was maintained in spite of destruction of some buildings and modification of others during the five centuries since its creation. Using the European method for an architectural monograph, this thesis shows an original way of studying a specific Chinese traditional architectural complex as a whole. Checks have been made on chronological coherence between the layout and historical facts mentioned in the ancient texts

Full textThe rapid growth of Daoism in the Chinese world and beyond questions the economic model at play in these religious organisations. This thesis analyses the economic aspects of this contemporary monastic daoism through the study of basic economic elements, their interactions with each other and with the laity. Results point to an economy based on a religious lineage system, where is transmitted a specialised approach to the master's role of medium between worlds. Those lineages are affiliated to an order organised to promote mobility and networking between them, which oppose each other on their specialised religious activity. Lay ressources on which temples and lignages are funded, depend on the adequacy of the masters’ response to the laity's needs through their services and teachings

Full textTo what extent did bells contribute to the formation of soundscapes in the temples of Ming-Qing Beijing and to the construction of the temples as sacred spaces in the city? By using multiple types of materials, including extant objects, epigraphic data, religious texts, local histories, and the writings of scholars, this PhD thesis argues that bells emitted spiritually meaningful sounds, built bridges between different worlds, reconstructed the space and structured the time of the religious site that housed them. They gave the temples of Beijing a particular sound environment where a major place was given to quietness, which represented the sacred identity of an ideal Chinese religious foundation. Residents and visitors to the capital in the late imperial period not only wanted to realize exchanges between gods and men in the various temples of the city, but also sought extraordinary sensory perceptions, in order to obtain a divine experience different from the everyday life. This suggests that studies of Chinese temples should seek to combine the “historiographical” approach, which studies historical facts that took place in religious sites, with the “poetic” approach, which illustrates how these sites are represented. We can achieve the meeting of these two lines of inquiry by taking a more active interest in the sensory culture in temples

Full textMichel Foucault argues that the history or more precisely, the time is the theme that has obsessed in the 19th century. According to Michel Foucault, this is the age of space. However, the space is not an abstract concept of speculation; it is always an element of the world from perceptual experience. Its roots in daily experience such as the space of body placed in an environment, in a habitat, in the social field, etc., may be incompatible with the object and purpose of the metaphysics which often questions the ultimate structure of the universe, the first cause in the world, etc. The concept of metaphysics of space incorporates the ingredients empirical: perceptual experience and the empirical experience of body living in the world which ultimately determines the metaphysical speculation. That is to say, the new exploration of space has also changed the stereotype of traditional metaphysics. From the view of human practice, space is the necessary condition to enable individual freedom and coexistence with others in the society. In the comparison of the conception in both French philosophy and Chinese philosophy, we will examine the metaphysical meanings of space not only ontological, but also in the field of epistemology and the theory of value

Full textThis study examines the mutations of a famous Daoist mountain, Mount Qingcheng in Sichuan Province (Southwest PRC), facing the reconfigurations of its economy. Its starting point lies in the trading of longevity knowledge and techniques referred to as "nourishing life" (yangsheng 养生). Yangsheng is a fundamental notion of the Daoist ascetic quest for immortality, and the recuperation of the cultivation methods it entails is typical of the commodification of religions as supervised by the Chinese state since the 1980s. Based on ethnographic surveys and analyses of written sources (local monographs, grey literature, collections of legends, Daoist hagiographies), this study defines the transformations of Mount Qingcheng as a sacred territory and a home for religious communities. Mt. Qingcheng is simultaneously patronized as a pilgrimage space, a heritage site and a Daoist monastic center. First, I outline the religious and social boundaries of the Qingcheng sacred site that came through the Cultural Revolution, and the Sichuan earthquake. Secondly, the issue of longevity practices leads me to dwell on the temple of Medicine King Sun Simiao (Yaowang Sun Simiao 药王孙思邈), a divinized physician from the 7th century. Formerly a village sanctuary, the Yaowang Temple was recently integrated to Daoist Mount Qingcheng. It is now at the heart of the "yangsheng industry" (yangsheng chanye 养生产业), an economic mega-trend developed by regional authorities since 2015. Yaowang Sun Simiao is thus becoming the tutelary figure of a new longevity market, and its temple a telling example of the complex interrelations of economy, religion, politics and society in contemporary China
Cao, Yanyan. "Enonciation et Français Langue Etrangère." Thesis, Rennes 2, 2013. http://www.theses.fr/2013REN20008.
Full textChinese learners face specific problems when learning French tenses. Our aim is to determine the reasons for this situation and make didactic proposals to adapt the teaching of the French language to Chinese characteristics. The study of the corpus collected from Chinese students at different stages of learning shows an enunciative perspective that isunstable during the construction of the tense system. A contrastive linguistic analysis of Chinese and French temporal systems, as well as an observation of the descriptive language tools commonly used in French teaching in China and didactic practices highlight on the one hand the influences of the mother tongue and secondly the teaching received onthe French tense system construction by Chinese students
Chuang, Yuan-Ting. "Interaction entre le temps, l'aspect et le mode dans les phrases complexes en mandarin moderne." Thesis, Sorbonne Paris Cité, 2015. http://www.theses.fr/2015PA030018/document.
Full textThis dissertation is a corpus-based study of the tense, aspect and mood (TAM) and the interaction between these three categories in complex sentences in modern Mandarin Chinese. It aims to answer three questions related to the interpretation of temporality in Mandarin: (i) How temporal, aspectual and modal categories are marked and how they interact in complex sentences? ; (ii) What are the differences between the interactions of TAM in complex sentences and those in simple sentences? ; (iii) How is temporal sequence expressed in Mandarin? The temporal theory of Comrie (1985) and the aspectual model developed by Tournadre (2004) will be used as the theoretical framework to analyze the data. In the first part, we first introduce the concepts and theories of TAM used in general linguistics. Then we discuss the linguistic means used in Mandarin to convey temporal, aspectual and modal concepts, and the functioning of these three categories in simple sentences in order to compare it with the functioning in complex sentences. The second part is devoted to the analysis the interaction of TAM categories in various types of complex sentences which include those in subordinate clauses and verbal construction in series

Full textOn plenty of Dunhuang paintings, painted between 7th and 10th centuries, Manjusri appears riding on a lion, and in relation with Mount Wutai. This is one of the most famous theme of Chinese Middle Age buddhist iconography. Most of wall-paintings dealing with that topic are located in Mogao caves. That pictural thematic originating in Indiana was perfectly adapted to the chinese cultural context. The purpose of the present work is the study of chinese buddhist and lay sources in China under Tang dynasty, particularly we provide an analysis of prototypes and models of representation within the frame of buddhist art development during that period. Thus, it was highlighted various phenomenons related to the evolution and transmission of buddhist iconographic items in a context of close exchanges between indian, bactrian, sogdian, chinese and tibetan cultures from 7th to 10th centuries. The analysis of iconographic and textual chinese materials also led us to define the development of a thematic related with religious or lay practices in Mount Wutai and Dunhuang regions, and its way getting into images. Each of these representations is given an interpretation in the chinese cultural context, and when possible, a link to textual sources or a model is suggested. Then, it turns out that these representations from Dunhuang constitute an exceptional documentation that gives us the possibility to restore an episode of the history of Buddhist iconography in China during the middle-age period

Full textWhat does learning a foreign language mean? Does it also mean, among other things, learning another way of being? Starting from the view that “a language is a view on the world” and that “saying is acting and interacting,” the present thesis proposes to approach the answer through a study of time, of which the notion is at once general and culture-specific. How do the Chinese and the French cultures represent, conceptualize, and use the notion of time ? The thesis starts with a review of the notion of time in the traditions of culture and philosophy, follows this up with a comparison of expressions of time in the two languages, continues through observation and analysis of the problem of time in communication events, and concludes with an analysis of how such problems are presented and dealt with in French textbooks currently used in China. It is hoped that the discoveries made and problems revealed in such a study will help enrich the discourse on the theory of foreign language teaching and learning, which in turn will lead to new solutions and open up new prospects
Casahous, Desneuf Alexia. "Le prisme temporel comme paradigme explicatif en science politique : regards croisés Chine Occident." Bordeaux 4, 2008. http://www.theses.fr/2008BOR40018.
Full textThe purpose is here to study through a genealogical, comparative and ideal typical aproach, within a period going from the VIIth century B. C. Until nowadays, the importance of the prism as an explaining paradigm for the West and China. The moment of the election of a time model is supposed to be a foundation for each society. In fact, two very distinct orientations exist, each one own coherence : creation with a broken time that becomes linear and progresses in the West, where in China, a progessive original view is being reinvented. Time could be through the fundamental role it plays in the invention of the operating tables by creating a gross order at the origin of the codes of values, real spatio-temporal "axis mundi". These codes work as a matrix on each society. You could meet in the political, artistic, religious, literature, or even the body or the nature experience views. A case study corroborates the interest of time as paradigm concerning both political and esthetical notions in the concerned civilisations. A genealogical approach of political history shows us the role of the time prism in the election of knowledge and transcendence, whereas a crossed look to China shows us the place of immanence and harmony in the global coherent system. There is a logical coherence of each time prism elected that allows an equation of transcendence, knowledge, beauty and ego in the West where Chine thinks immanence, harmony, dullness an absence of ego. A rapid iconology of two contemporaneaous sovereigns (King Louis XIVth and the emperor Kagxi) and their political symbols at a period of exchange will confirm the interest of a time as a paradigme
Xie-Fouques, Lingqiong. "Sauvegarde du patrimoine architectural en Chine : la notion de guji, 1909-1937." Paris, EHESS, 2016. http://www.theses.fr/2016EHES0069.
Full textThe thesis analyses the notion of guji - literally "traces of the past" - through national regulations and institutions on heritage protection, as well as safeguard actions of imperial sites and Buddhist temples in Peking. The period studied covers the end of the last imperial dynasty and the first decades of the Republican era until the beginning of the Sino-Japanese War in 1937. Guji is a term used under imperial China to generally designate built or natural sites and buildings which evoke the reminiscence of the past. We borrow it in our study in order to put forward the Chinese specificity in the understanding of the concept of architectural heritage. If, progressively, the architectural quality and authenticity of monuments have been added as heritage selection criteria in the national regulations, designed by Western educated scholars and inspired by Western experience, they are far from really being considered in the practice of protection. In most cases, the function of a site or a building is the key factor leading to its physical transformation: function prevails over architectural form. The absence of a real attention to the materiality of architectural heritage is deeply linked to the perception of architecture in the imperial period: instead of being considered as an artistic work per se, the building is above all a component of a living and organic whole, whose function is the source of its vitality. By examining the notion of guji, we aim to demonstrate the strong cultural connection between imperial China and Republican era
Boulin, Myriam. "Temporal Deixis and Anaphora in English and Mandarin Chinese : a contrastive study of now and then and their Mandarin equivalents." Sorbonne Paris Cité, 2015. https://theses.hal.science/tel-01599127.
Full textThis thesis conducts a contrastive analysis of temporal deixis and anaphora in English and Mandarin Chinese through the study of now and then and their Mandarin equivalents. More generally, it explores the problems linked to the encoding of time location and time relations in English, a tensed language, vs. Mandarin Chinese, an aspectual language. This research is based on the study of a bidirectional bilingual corpus of narrative texts, film dialogues and spontaneous conversations. The Mandarin markers examined include time adverbs such as xianzai `now', nashi `at that time', dangshi 'at the time', zheshi this moment' as well as the aspectual particles final le and verbal —le. It is found that deictic and anaphoric time adverbials play a more crucial role for time location in Chinese than in English while sequential adverbs are more widely used in English than in Chinese. This is linked to the fact that English is a tensed language equipped with grammatical means of temporal location, and thus in lesser need of lexical devices for temporal location, while Mandarin is an aspectual language which codes time relations between eventualities, and is thus in lesser need of sequential markers than English. Moreover, we find that the absence of tense in Chinese results in an unmarked use of proximal time deictics such as xianzai 'flow' in narratives, while the use of now in English narratives, when combined with past tense, creates a deictic shift. It is finally found that the pragmatic uses of now and then and thei Mandarin equivalents draw from the deictic and anaphoric characteristics of the markers: now is contrastive while then is continuative

Full textBased on an extensive survey of stone inscriptions, this work analyzes the social and political history of China from 10th to 15th century through the cult of a single deity, Cui Fujun. Appearing around 9th century in North China, it is dedicated to a deity who was said to be a local magistrate as well as a judge in the underworld. Over time, this deity extended to to North and South China. It was adopted by several imperial governments founded by the different ethnic groups, which each promoted it for various political reasons. This imperial support contributed to its popularity in local society. This study analyzes the Cui Fujun cult on two levels: dynastic politics and local society. First, it looks at the roles that the worship of Cui Fujun played in imperial politics in the Northern and Southern Song (960-1279), and then between two rival dynasties, the Southern Song (1127-1279) and the Jin (1115-1234). The emperors of the Song promoted the deity in hoping that his mythical power of underworld judge could help them solve their succession crisis. During the period of the Jin and the Southern Song, the first made Cui Fujun a substitute for the deity of South Sacred Mountain, located in Southern Song territory to claim their legitimacy and rulership; while the second worshipped the same deity as a protector of the imperial family because he was said to have done miracles for the benefit of the first two emperors, which enforced their legitimacy. Secondly, we examine various social issues between the 13th and 15th centuries relating to the worship practice. Considered as a model official, a defender of justice and a territory protector Cui Fujun was worshipped in the North as well as in the South. In the North, essentially in his two places of origin, persons as officials, local gentlemen, villagers, dealt with templi construction, donation, and prayer in order to ensure social order and value transmission. In the South, at the places where the worship extended, we examine its integration process and it adaptation to various local situations, even among "minority" peoples
Chu, Ge. "Les interactions de la culture occidentale et de la culture chinoise dans l'oeuvre théâtrale et poétique de Paul Claudel." Thesis, Bordeaux 3, 2020. http://www.theses.fr/2020BOR30008.
Full textFrom 1895 to 1909, Claudel had made three business trips in China and lived there for almost twelve years. As a diplomat, he visited several Chinese cities, such as Shanghai, Foochow, Haikou, Hong Kong, Beijing and Tientsin; as a playwright and poet, he also experienced the breadth and depth of exotic oriental landscapes. In the writings of Paul Claudel, the encounter with the China was two- dimensional: there is firstly a reserved and obstinate attitude, producing misunderstandings and surprises, and also an attitude that seeks inspiration in otherness. Based on the personal journey of Claudel, we can situate his works in several perspectives: cross-cultural (French culture and Chinese culture), cross-spatial (from external view to internal view of China), cross-temporal (ancient China and contemporary China) and cross-religious (Christianity,Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism). We study his theatrical and poetic works inspired by Chinese culture, we focus on analyzing the Chinese elements and we see how Claudel manages the poetic and conceptual interaction between two cultures so as to explore and appreciate the cultural implications with rich symbolic significance in these works and to highlight his efforts in the Sino-French communication. We point out that, different from the previous studies, our thesis doesn’t concern the general connection of Claudel with China, but particularly the mutual interaction between Chinese and Western cultures in his theatrical and poetic works
Zhao, Shouliang. "Mechanism, impact and policy of tourism-recreation mobility : study based on cities in Europe and China." Thesis, Paris Est, 2012. http://www.theses.fr/2012PEST1188.
Full textIn a time-space compression background, the usual environment, which is the key conception in traditional tourism definition, is much difficult to be defined. Meanwhile, the tourism and recreation activities in urban background have close relations, in both aspects of demand and supply. Therefore, in empirical study as well as in policy-making, there are necessities of integration of tourism and recreation study in the urban background. The dissertation tries to construct a conceptual framework called tourism-recreation mobility based on city, on the basis of discrimination of conceptions in tourism and recreation study. Meanwhile, this study wants to offer some suggestions for Chinese cities by referring to experience of European countries. There are three problems discussed: What is the mechanism of tourism-recreation mobility? What kinds of the impacts of tourism-recreation mobility on city? What should city do? The mechanism of tourism-recreation mobility is discussed from four aspects: demand, supply, and space pattern and development trends. The dissertation concludes that the demand of tourism-recreation mobility will increase fast in China. The characters of tourism/recreation trip differ substantially from commuting, which should be the basis of tourism transportation plan. Generally speaking, Chinese cities should devote much to the optimization of tourism-recreation resources supply. The dissertation analyzes the space pattern of tourism-recreation mobility from region and city levels. The trends of tourism-recreation mobility in time-space compression background have also been studied. The development of tourism-recreation mobility has obvious impact on physical environment of cities. The development also causes intensive competition between cities in a larger area, which rises new demand for cities. To fulfill the demand of both residents and visitors, urban planning should devote to the optimization of urban functional structure, urban public space and urban transportation system. Promotion policy induced the prosperity of urban tourism in European countries. On the other hand, many cities rise regulation policy when tourism developing to a certain stage. Some common policies in European cities are essential for the general prosperity of tourism and fine quality of resident's recreation, which could be reference for urban tourism and recreation development in Chinese cities. To face the challenges raised by the development of tourism-recreation mobility, the dissertation submits several suggestions for Chinese cities, from four aspects named as tourism-recreation research, coordination of urban tourism and urban planning institutions, urban policy and urban planning formulation. Since the city is more and more shared by visitors and residents, the traditional urban planning should be adjusted, which serves mainly for the residents. Urban planning should make city more favorable for both residents and visitors, from land-use to facilities. Meanwhile, urban planning should devote to build a more attractive city
Mahfoud, Abdelhamid. "Calligraphie, cinégraphie : étude de la relation entre le cinéma et les arts du tracé." Thesis, Sorbonne Paris Cité, 2017. http://www.theses.fr/2017USPCA146.
Full textThis research attempts to envisage the art of cinema as a cinegraphic art, that is to say, according to the definition herein, as a space of moving images unfolding themselves to the gaze through energetic impulses that animate its component parts. In order to draw forth this scriptural substance and to ascertain its implications for the language of cinema, this research detours into two realms of thought on the image, which have traditionally elevated the art of drawing into a prominent art form, thus manifesting aesthetic preoccupations and notions of language which we perceive as diverging from those that led Western cultural history to invent cinema. What then becomes of cinema when endowed by these thoughts? Conversely, what can cinema offer them as a technique, a device and a subject? The first detour, by posing questions of movement, gesture and time, journeys through Chinese calligraphy and pictorial art to question cinema as a recording machine, bound to a conception of conservation, memory and of the event. The second detour, by posing questions on light, gaze and space, journeys through Muslim calligraphy and pictorial art to question cinema as an optical machine, bound to a conception of mimesis, depth and of showing. These detours serve as a theoretical grounding for thinking about our everyday relationship to images (mainly digital), a relationship that changes exponentially and reconfigures our way of seeing, reading and touching images; according to a strictly cinegraphic mode

Full textBased on the field work undertaken in three contemporary Buddhist reform groups situated in different geographical areas - the Bailin Chan Temple in China, the Modern Chan Society in Taiwan and the Plum Village in France-, this research examines the temporal logics of the modern transformation of Chan Buddhism in four dimensions : 1) reconstruction of the institution through the evocation of the past by means of symbols ; 2) reformulation of the discourse to particularize the memory of institution at the level of individual as autonomous subject ; 3) Reorganization of the collective practices to keep the system integration of religious time and other social times, with the consideration of the mobility of practioners 4) reconfiguration of the relationship between n10nks and lay believers, as a result of the loss of monks' monopoly of the religious power by virtue of their "full time" engagement in monastic life
Gong, Xun. "Le rgyalrong zbu, une langue tibéto-birmane de Chine du Sud-ouest. Une étude descriptive, typologique et comparative." Thesis, Sorbonne Paris Cité, 2018. http://www.theses.fr/2018USPCF008/document.
Full textThis thesis focuses on Zbu Rgyalrong, a Sino-Tibetan language of the Rgyalrongic branch, and consists of both a phonological and morphological description of the language and a reconstruction of the history of its verb inflection. This thesis aims at descriptive exhaustivity for its phonology and attempts to lay the foundation of a reference grammar, in order to characterize its inflectional morphology in the perspective of general linguistics. Based on the description of this highly endangered language, the thesis contains a diachronic discussion, which contributes to the project of reconstructing Proto-Rgyalrongic, a collective enterprise which has important implications for the reconstruction of Sino-Tibetan as a whole. Notably, a reconstruction is proposed of the time-aspect-modality (TAM) marking system of Proto-Upper-Rgyalrong, the most recent common ancestor of Japhug, Tshobdun and Zbu. This reconstruction provides new perspectives for distinguishing between inherited elements and secondary developments in each Rgyalronguic language, as well as within the kindred Qiangic languages. Also included in the diachronic part is a comparative treatment of some verbs in Zbu, examined with data from other Qiangic and Lolo-Burman languages, which can serve as a model for an etymological dictionary of Rgyalrongic verbs
Hu, Xiaoshi. "Les constructions causatives du français et du chinois." Thesis, Sorbonne Paris Cité, 2017. http://www.theses.fr/2017USPCC056/document.
Full textThis dissertation concentrates on the problems concerning the causative constructions in French and in Chinese, it constitutes empirical and theoretical contributions to the formal study of French and Chinese verbal systems. It will be shown that the feature defectivity of phasal heads plays a key role motivating the formation of constructions in the two languages. Concerning the causative construction of faire in French, we will use the interpretation of Respectively as test to justify its bi-clausal status; and the exploration of the quantificational relations will show that the causativized vP in the complement of faire determines a defective phase, selected by another phasal functional head. In addition, the defectivity of the causativized vP and the phi-features integrated in the clitics result in the distribution of different types of clitics. Different from the causative construction in French involving a defective TP in a bi-clausal structure, Chinese causative verbs sub-categorize directly a phasal causativized v*P, and there is no other intervening phasal projections. It will be shown that Chinese distinguishes finite and infinitive Tenses as well, even such a distinction may not be manifested on verb forms. Concerning the verbs rang/jiao/gei in Chinese, we will show that their causative and passive functions carry out the different argument structures; and there is no derivational relation between the two argument structures of these verbs. Concerning the theoretic perspective, it will be shown that there are four phasal structures corresponding to the different argument structures of the causative verbs in French and in Chinese. In addition, this thesis will also explore the performance of the phase impenetrability condition and of the minimality condition with respect on different operations of the narrow syntax

Electronic Thesis or Diss., Sorbonne université, 2018. https://accesdistant.sorbonne-universite.fr/login?url=https://theses-intra.sorbonne-universite.fr/2018SORUS185.pdf.
Full textThis study attempts to characterize key fossil fragments of material equilibrated along subduction plate boundary, now exposed in Chinese SW-Tianshan Metamorphic Belt (STMB). We herein elucidate some subduction zone processes across a critical depth range of ~80km, beyond which geophysicist and modeler infer a change in mechanical coupling and oceanic rocks are usually not recovered. It focuses on an unusually thick pile of HP/UHP metavolcanoclastics, wrapping eclogite slices and preserving pervasive coesite relics, along a ~30km-long transect across the Akeyazi metamorphic complex (AMC) in the Kebuerte valley. Structural studies reveal the current geometry of the AMC is a metamorphic dome with evidence of internal nappe stacking and should be subdivided into several coherent, km-scale tectonic units with distinct P-T-time-deformation histories. At least 4 of 6 sub-units identified here, i.e., the UH (2.75 GPa/480-560°C), EB (2.1/505), MU (1.45/485) and GT units (>0.7-1.0/470-520) were subducted and buried to depths of ~85, 65, 45 and 30 km respectively. Deformation following EC/BS-EC peak burial is marked by pervasive BS facies exhumation-related shear senses with a top to North component. Radiometric constraints yield peak burial ages of 320±1, 332±2, 359±2 and 280-310 Ma, respectively, for the UH, EB, MU and GS facies units, indicating several short-lived detachment episodes of material from the downgoing plate. The tectono-metamorphic evolution from ~12 to 5-7°C/km with time may reflect progressive cooling of the subduction system. Juxtaposition & exhumation of those 4 units to mid-crustal depth, at rates on the order of 1-3 mm/yr, was accomplished around 290-300Ma

Full textThis thesis intervenes in foreign language acquisition, and has an objective to understand how Chinese students in university learn French space expression. I have thus conducted a three-year research and carried out three corpus collections with 22 Chinese learners from the same class, respectively in the first three years in French learning. The Chinese learners are required to tell a story according to the pictures. In every collection, all learners are assigned to tell the Frog story; in the first two collections the additional Cat and Horse stories are respectively required. From the collected corpus, each learner are fully studied, including the space expressions at specific stages and the progress in three-year period. The analysis based on the data has been carried out in the three levels: the sentence level, the conceptual level and the discursive level. It is aimed to find the factors which influence the space expression in French. Moreover, the thesis provides teaching solutions according to the learning difficulties identified in the corpus
