The aim of the study is to select an optimal variant of a hybrid system under conditions of uncertainty according to selected criteria. The problems of the study are the different options for building the hybrid system and choosing an adequate criterion for choosing the optimal variant. The study covers analysis of three variants of building up a hybrid system for supplying of autonomous electric load. The three variants are: introduction of an active user for equalizing the load schedule; introduction of additional generating source for covering the peak portion of the load schedule; covering

Seasonal influenza viruses are constantly changing and produce a different set of circulating strains each season. Small genetic changes can accumulate over time and result in antigenically different viruses; this may prevent the body’s immune system from recognizing those viruses. Due to rapid mutations, in particular, in the haemagglutinin (HA) gene, seasonal influenza vaccines must be updated frequently. This requires choosing strains to include in the updates to maximize the vaccines’ benefits, according to estimates of which strains will be circulating in upcoming seasons. This is a chall

In clinical practice, we use the term “fusiform aneurysm” for local expansion of artery. Under this generic term specialists understand heterogeneous arterial pathology, which is very important for diagnosis and choosing the treatment. We conducted an analysis of scientific literature published in 1987–2019, including 63 foreign and 4 Russian sources devoted to pathogenesis and types of non-saccular aneurysms. Among non-saccular aneurysms, dolichoectatic aneurysms are distinguished, rather of genetically or non-atherosclerotic origin and fusiform aneurysm acquired due to dissection processes.

Various methods and variants of nasal cavity irrigation are one of the most ancient in the treatment and prevention of diseases of the upper respiratory tract. When choosing a remedy for elimination and irrigation therapy, preference is given to preparations based on sea water, containing in its composition minerals and trace elements that cause additional therapeutic effect. A new direction in this type of therapy is the use of drugs containing fucoidans (obtained from brown algae extract). Identification of the defective cellular pathway is an important criterion for stratifying the patient's individual risk profile and for choosing personalized therapeutic options. While costs of high-throughput sequencing technologies have rapidly declined over the last decade, molecular genetic diagnosis of bleeding and platelet disorders is getting more and more suitable within the diagnostic algorithms. The host immune system protects against tumor formation via immunosurveillance; however, recognition of the tumor by immune cells also induces sculpting mechanisms leading to a Darwinian selection of tumor cell variants with reduced immunogenicity.
