In the present work we study modeling of HIV disease progression via multistate Markov model. The difficulty in this approach is how to define HIV disease states. These are usually defined in terms of CD4+ T lymphocyte counts, but this marker is a subject to biological fluctuation and, in real life, measurement errors as well. The aim of the diploma thesis was to identify the most frequently occurring damage to tendons in horses, which were divided into six groups according to the purpose of their use. These groups consisted of dressage horses, jumping horses, race horses canter, trotters, event and western horses. Huntington's disease, an autosomal dominant neurodegenerative disease, affects the cell in several toxical ways. One of them is accumulation of protein aggregates in cytoplasma, which could become a serious problem especially for long-lived cells such as neurons. Autophagy (macroautophagy) is an important catabolic pathway, crucial for cell survival. If fully functional, it should eliminate protein aggregates and reduce the toxic effect on the cell.
