Abstract:
Abstract Background Compared to adults, children and adolescents of the community more frequently report clinical high risk of psychosis (CHR) criteria. Yet, little is known about the prevalence of CHR criteria in clinical children and adolescents’ samples. Thus, we studied the prevalence of CHR criteria and symptoms in 8- to 17-year-old inpatients with disorders that have been associated with greater odds to develop psychosis in adulthood, i.e., attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, social and specific phobia, and obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders and Asperger’s disorder. Abstract Background: Nilotinib, a 2nd-generation BCR-ABL inhibitor, is 20–30 times more potent than imatinib in vitro. A phase II, open-label study of safety/efficacy of nilotinib in pts with imatinib-resistant/intolerant Ph+ CML-CP or -AP was reported. Planned starting dose was 400mg BID, with escalation to 600mg BID if response was inadequate. The objective of the post-hoc analysis was to evaluate safety/efficacy of nilotinib 600mg BID in CML-CP pts who had dose escalation. Methods: Starting dose was 400mg BID. Introduction Serious PCP infections are known to develop in immuno-compromised individuals. The risk and risk factors in patients with retroviral infections is well established but the data in HSCT recipients is scanty. With use of newer methods of graft versus host disease (GVHD) prevention like alemtuzumab and reduced intensity transplants (RIC) this analysis was undertaken to establish the incidence and identify the risk factors for PCP infections in HSCT patients. Abstract Background The clinical high-risk (CHR) for psychosis paradigm is changing psychiatric practice. However, a widespread confounder, i.e. baseline exposure to antipsychotics (AP) in CHR samples, is systematically overlooked. Such exposure might mitigate the initial clinical presentation, increase the heterogeneity within CHR populations, and confound the evaluation of transition to psychosis at follow-up. This is the first meta-analysis examining the prevalence and the prognostic impact on transition to psychosis of ongoing AP treatment at baseline in CHR cohorts. Methods Major database

Abstract:
There are many representational types of Venus in the coinage of the soldier emperors’ era (235–284/285). The goddess is depicted with various attributes, often with apple, sceptre, or with Cupid, however, in some cases she is with weapons (for example with helmet, shields, or even with spear) or with triumphal attributes (palm-branch, Victory), which coins surprisingly describe the goddess of love in connection with very unusual phenomena: military and victory. The present paper deals with the variety of these coin types in the above mentioned period and focuses on their tradition in the coin
