Abstract:
The Bible is the main source of knowledge for every believer, especially for children in education. However, there is a tendency that Christian education prioritizes an educational model that emphasizes humanitarian philosophy so that it tends to no longer make the Bible the main source of Christian education. In obtaining data for writing this article, the author used a qualitative method with a literature review approach. The Bible is a material that should be given to children or society. This means that the teaching of the Bible itself does not only talk about the formation of morality and spirituality, but can also give weight to the main source as Christian education. The Bible is used as the main basis for teaching Christian Education in churches and schools that have a Christian curriculum. This is because the Bible is considered a holy book that contains the basic teachings of Christianity and is the highest authority for Christians. Therefore, in teaching Christian Religious Education, a Christian Religious Education teacher is required to use the Bible as the main source in providing explanations and teaching about the teachings of Christianity.

Abstract:
In the late Qing Dynasty, religious periodicals by Western missionaries were made legal in China, and subsequently became an important manner of their missionary cause. Among them, Child’s Paper 小孩月报 (1875–1881) by John Marshall Willoughby Farnham, a Protestant missionary from the United States, endeavoured to convert child readers by carrying children’s stories of moral and emotional education. By concentrating on the educational elements of Child’s Paper, this article inspects how conversion was achieved via the intertextual interpretation of Christian doctrines within these educational elements. Specifically, how the image of little Christians and urchins, respectively, represents salvation and redemption in Christian morals. This article holds that the missionaries’ stress on the authority of Christian discourse in the education of Chinese children makes evident an increasing emphasis on the reformative effects of Christianity on Chinese children. Moreover, the conversion-education efforts by missionaries also construed helping Chinese children gain a cross-cultural perspective on Western religion, and arguably inspired later Chinese intellectuals’ to create newspapers for the purpose of the pre-primary education of Chinese children.

Abstract:
The spiritual crisis among Sunday school children has become a serious concern in the context of Christian religious education. This article examines the important role played by Christian religious education teachers in overcoming this crisis. In a modern context full of challenges, children often experience spiritual isolation, loss of religious values, and difficulty implementing Christian principles in everyday life. Christian religious education teachers have a responsibility to provide guidance and inspiration to these children. This article examines strategies and methods Christian religious education teachers can use to help Sunday school children overcome spiritual crises. Some of the strategies described include the use of interesting Bible stories, interactive and creative teaching, building empathetic relationships with students, and encouraging reflection and application of Christian values in everyday life. Christian religious education teachers must also be able to tactfully face children's questions and doubts, and develop a deep understanding of children's spiritual and developmental needs. Through their role, Christian religious education teachers can be role models and sources of inspiration for Sunday school children in strengthening their faith and dealing with spiritual crises. In carrying out their duties, teachers must have a strong commitment to the mission of Christian religious education and pay attention to the social and cultural changes that affect children's lives. This article aims to inform and motivate Christian religious education teachers in carrying out their roles more effectively and relevantly amidst the spiritual crisis of Sunday school children. Through collaborative efforts between the church, parents and the Christian community, it is hoped that Sunday school children can obtain a solid foundation of faith and be able to overcome the spiritual challenges they face in their lives.

Abstract:
The known biography of the early african american writer and lecturer Maria W. Stewart (1803–79) is as brief as it is fascinating. After the childhood loss of her parents, she married James W. Stewart, a Boston shipping agent, in 1826. The Stewarts had close ties with the black radical David Walker, whose fiery 1829 Appeal kindled fears of slave rebellion and was in its third edition when Walker died under suspicious circumstances in August 1830. After James Stewart's own untimely death, in December 1829, his executors swindled Maria Stewart out of her inheritance, and she turned to the church and to writing and lecturing. Revising Walker's combination of jeremiad and Enlightenment-influenced political argument to reflect her own sense of faith, racism and racial uplift, and gender politics, Stewart became one of the first American women to address “promiscuous” audiences. She published a series of probing meditations as well as a set of her lectures—texts still startling for their power and bluntness—in pamphlets and, later, as Productions of Mrs, Maria Stewart (1835).

Abstract:
Christian education in the context of the family is very important to do because the family is a place formed by God for a child to be brought up to be educated in the knowledge of God and grow in character. Honest character is very important to be instilled and formed in children. Because honesty will be the main capital for someone to be trusted by others. Trust that will be the basis for social relations, whether family, friendship or in work or business relationships. This study uses a qualitative type of research through interviews with parents of TK A children, namely eight family informants who are Christian. Methods of data collection using interviews. The results of the study found that family context Christian education in Petra Terpadu Christian Kindergarten had not been implemented by all families. Of the eight families who were respondents, there were only two families that were categorized as very good in implementing Christian education in the family. Meanwhile, the other six families were considered to be lacking in implementing Christian education in the family. The results of the study on eight children of Petra Integrated Christian Kindergarten A showed that a small number of children showed honest character in the good category and most (six children) did not show honest character. The results also show that families who apply Christian education in the family show a very good honest character, while families who are not good at implementing Christian education in the family show honest character in their children. This shows that Christian education in the family has an impact on the formation of honest characters in children. Where is the exemplary factor of parents in quotes and factors of action that really determine the honest character of the child.

Abstract:
Abstract In the late 1800s and early 1900s, Chinese Christian familial ideals were traditional and revolutionary at the same time. They were traditional in wanting to preserve some role for parents in forming the marriages of their children and in seeing wives as primarily responsible for the care of children. But Christians were revolutionary in encouraging women to develop their personalities and work outside the home. They advocated women’s education and associated education with women’s empowerment and independence. Christians taught that marriage should be based on love and that daughters were just as important as sons, even if they chose to be single. Singleness, spouse self-selection, prioritizing the husband-wife relationship over the parent-child relationship, and pursuing a companionate model of marriage were all ways that Christians helped revolutionize familial ideals in China.

Abstract:

This study investigated the caregivers' most highly valued factors for enrolling their children in Christian schools. Caregivers (N = 297) were included from more than 39 California Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) schools. They responded to survey questions regarding their most highly valued factors for enrolling their children in Christian schools. The survey considered factors from five categories: (a) biblical values, (b) academics, (c) school culture, (d) student-centeredness, and (e) economic considerations. The study found their highest valued factors to be biblical values and care of the student. Quality academics, safe environment, and number of highly qualified teachers were also found to be highly valued factors. Factors that were found not likely to be important to caregivers were adherence to state standards, attention to special learning needs, technology in the classroom, fine arts, athletic programs, tuition and other school expenses, and distance from the home.

Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to design an appropriate curriculum for early Christian education in the context of Korean early Christian education, which has not been fully developed and in which country there have been but few such curricula in Christian schools for young children. For the designing of a curriculum which will be effective in content and method, the study of Piaget's theory as one which can be helpful for the effectiveness of early childhood education is essential. This aim is developed in chapter 1. In chapter 2, in order to understand Piaget's cognitive development theory clearly, the definition of terms, the factor of the sensori-motor period, and that of the pre-operational period are dealt with. To assist in the understanding of Piaget's theory, terms such as schema, assimilation, accommodation, and equilibration are defined and exemplified. In chapter 3, the educational implications of Piaget's theory, for specifically Christian education, yielded up three categories: sequencing and content of curriculum, and methodology of teaching. The Kamii and Lavatelli programmes based on Piaget's theory are discussed. Children's God-concept development theories of Goldman, Williams, and Elkind - based on Piaget's theory - are discussed in chapter 4. Goldman found in his research that there are three main stages of children's religious thinking: the pre-religious stage, the sub-religious stage, and the religious stage.

AbstractThe British Mandate over Palestine did not prevent France from exercising its cultural influence over the Melkite community. This chapter analyses the ways in which the French deployed cultural diplomacy in relation to the Melkites, attempting to use culture as a means to politically influence the Melkite community in Palestine. It highlights the role of Archbishop Gregorios Hajjar (1875–1940, in post 1901–1940), a central figure in the Melkite Arabic community as well as a francophone and francophile personality. In particular, it considers Hajjar’s efforts to expand education for Melkite children in northern Palestine, and how both Hajjar and the French used aspects of cultural diplomacy to achieve their respective aims in funding the building and staffing schools, versus the expansion of francophone education in Mandate Palestine.

Abstract:
There is an increasingly innovative range of resources in education, seeking to create a motivating environment for learning. The aim of this work was to present experience reports on the use of a flight simulator in Brazilian and biblical geography classes in an elementary school and a reformed Christian theology church, respectively. Microsoft® Flight Simulator was used for this purpose. Two educational scenarios are presented here: (1) teaching of geographical aspects of Brazil for 10-years old students; and (2) teaching of biblical aspects for 8 to 10-years old children from a reformed Christian theology church. The classroom was prepared to simulate an internal airplane environment. First, in the elementary school scenario, students could learn about Rio de Janeiro, Niterói (school city), the Amazon rainforest, Brasília (Brazilian capital), Pantanal and the southern region of the country. On the other hand, in the church scenario, children were able to have a bigger picture about Egypt, Sinai desert, Dead Sea, Jordan river, the Sea of Galilee, and other important biblical sites in Palestine, providing a rich opportunity to learn the main stories of the Old and New Testaments. Children approved the use of technology to assimilate the content, and further projects are intended to present this application for adults.

Martin, Kathi, Nick Jushchyshyn, and Claire King. Christian Lacroix Evening gown c.1990. Drexel Digital Museum, 2017. http://dx.doi.org/10.17918/wq7d-mc48.

Full text
Abstract:
The URL links to a website page in the Drexel Digital Museum (DDM) fashion image archive containing a 3D interactive panorama of an evening gown by French fashion designer Christian Lacroix with related text. This evening gown by Christian Lacroix is from his Fall 1990 collection. It is constructed from silk plain weave, printed with an abstract motif in the bright, deep colors of the local costumes of Lacroix's native Arles, France; and embellished with diamanté and insets of handkerchief edged silk chiffon. Ruffles of pleated silk organza in a neutral bird feather print and also finished with a handkerchief edge, accentuate the asymmetrical draping of the gown. Ruching, controlled by internal drawstrings and ties, creates volume and a slight pouf, a nod to 'le pouf' silhouette Lacroix popularized in his collection for Patou in 1986. Decorative boning on the front of the bodice reflects Lacroix's early education as a costume historian and his sartorial reinterpretation of historic corsets. It is from the private collection of Mari Shaw. The panorama is an HTML5 formatted version of an ultra-high resolution ObjectVR created from stitched tiles captured with GigaPan technology. It is representative the ongoing research of the DDM, an international, interdisciplinary group of researchers focused on production, conservation and dissemination of new media for exhibition of historic fashion.

Iqbal, Sania, and Wahid bin Ahsan. Environmental Education and Recycling Practices Among Underprivileged Children in Bangladesh. Userhub, May 2024. http://dx.doi.org/10.58947/tkql-nfhb.

Full text
Abstract:
This study explores the awareness and practices of reuse and recycling among underprivileged children in Bangladesh, aiming to enhance environmental sustainability through educational strategies. Interviews with children, parents, teachers, NGO workers, community leaders, and government officials reveal significant gaps in understanding and practicing waste management. While children show creativity in repurposing materials, challenges such as limited adult awareness and insufficient government initiatives persist. The study recommends integrating environmental education into school curricula, promoting hands-on learning, increasing community and governmental support, and leveraging cultural practices to foster sustainable behaviors. These strategies aim to create an environmentally conscious society and empower children as proactive environmental stewards.
