Abstract:
Two narrative texts authored by Heinrich von Mügeln play significant roles in the historical scholarship of dynastic Hungary. Since the 20 th century the scholarly view has predominated that the 'Hungarian Chronicle' emerged in 1359. This thesis is rebutted in the present study. The body of sources which informed the German language 'Hungarian Chronicle' must have emerged earlier, between 1342 and 1349. Excerpts translated into German were used as templates for the Latin 'Chronicon'. Zwei Texte Heinrichs von Mügeln spielen in der ungarischen Hofhistoriographie des 14. Jh. s eine zentrale Rolle

The article examines one of the early chronicle plots, which is based on a conflict of perception of situations and actions, leading to deviant behavior and criminal acts. Using the example of the plot about gathering tribute from the Drevlyans by Prince Igor in the Tale of Bygone Years, the article shows that one of the distinctive features of the texts of this group is the absence of a direct assessment, and the plot lines developed or outlined in them are built on obvious or hidden conflicts of perception by the opposing parties of situation. While some Tokugawa-era doctors disparaged the hara obi’s medical value, it continued to play a role in prenatal care which continues today, a role enhanced by its function as a religious talisman and an object of folk tradition. Telling the Almoravid story asks much of the imagination, as a stark paucity of documentary evidence continues to shadow much of this dynasty's character, parameters, and early development. Comparisons of this chronicle with those of Ibn Abī Zar and Ibn Khaldūn brought scholars to revise chronologies and rescript the roles played by the movement's first leaders. Abstract This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: The objective of this review will be to compare the safety and efficacy of increasing the dose of ICS as part of a supervised patient self‐management action plan to continuing the usual maintenance dose of ICS at the onset of exacerbations in children and adults with asthma.

Abstract:
Investments in transportation have the potential to significantly affect public health outcomes. Decisions to build highways, transit, or bikeways, for example, influence how residents and visitors move around a metropolitan area. Personal travel habits and proximity to transportation infrastructure play a role in how likely people are to be physically active or be exposed to dangerous traffic and toxic pollution. For this study, the research team reviewed the literature that links transportation infrastructure, the surrounding built environment context, and public health outcomes such as chro

Abstract:
Population aging and the growing burden of chronic disease are causing many countries to explore new options as they reorganize their health systems from acute care toward increased chronic care provision. There are several modalities to deliver recuperative intermediate care at a level between the hospital and primary care, but some patients will require a bed-based solution. For these individuals, inpatient non-acute facilities may provide superior outcomes at a lower cost than traditional care on a hospital ward. The international literature regarding this type of service reveals positive f

Abstract:
As individuals age, the likelihood of developing a disability increases (Berlau et al., 2009), often leading to functional limitations such as challenges with activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL). Declining health is associated with decreases in marital quality. For example, the onset of a chronic illness in wives (but not husbands) is associated with an elevated risk of divorce (Karraker & Latham, 2015; Latham-Mintus et al., 2022; Yorgason et al., 2008). However, less attention has been given to the daily struggles associated with aging, whic

This report chronicles the work undertaken by researchers at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign to identify policies and design guidelines to plan for connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs) in mid-sized regions in Illinois. The report starts with the goals of this work followed by a review of existing literature. The review addresses CAV technologies and scenario planning, including academic research articles, policies and guidance documents from federal and state agencies, and recent long-range transportation plans. The review findings are organized into three categories—drivers, l

Learning to cope with disappointments and overcoming obstacles is part of growing up. By conquering some challenges, children develop resilience. Such normal stressors may include initiating a new activity or separation from parents during preschool hours. However, when the challenges in early childhood are intensified by important stressors happening outside their own lives, they may start to worry about the safety of themselves and their families. This may cause chronic stress, which interferes with their emotional, cognitive, and social development. In developing country contexts, it is esp

This paper investigates the role of crises (e.g. armed conflict, displacement, climate-related disasters, Covid‑19, and economic crises) in driving negative poverty trajectories in Nigeria, alongside the extent to which social assistance may be fit for purpose to respond to intersecting crises. The paper adopts a mixed-methods approach, bringing together analysis of quantitative survey data from 2010 to 2023, with qualitative data collected in six states across the country’s six geopolitical zones in 2023.
