Abstract:
The need for administration in efficient church stewardship is discussed, as is a good model of church administration. To improve church stewardship, the journal uses the literature study method to discuss effective church administration models that can adapt to the changing needs and goals of the church, consider the internal and external environment of the church, and provide clear direction to all members. The journal also explains why administration is essential to effective church stewardship. Stewardship in the church includes the maintenance of a wide variety of ministries, including services devoted to worship, spiritual formation, and social action. Church stewardship benefits from a well-organized administration in terms of managing resources, planning events, and minimizing waste. Communication, leadership, and member participation are just a few examples of what can have a positive or negative impact on the efficiency of church administration and stewardship. The authors also offer a number of suggestions for improving the efficiency of church administration and stewardship, including developing better administrative and leadership capabilities, improving communication channels, and encouraging greater participation from members. In short, the journals in this publication explain why efficient church management is so important. Good stewardship in religious institutions.

Abstract:
Abstract The paper addresses issues regarding the current balance between spirituality and administration in different church denominations using an interdisciplinary approach which combines management science and theology. It presents a comparative study of organizational culture of the Roman Catholic Church, a Lutheran church, and a Reformed church with the use of the questionnaire based on the Competing Values Framework (Cameron/Quinn) and qualitative interviews with leading persons in church. The authors discuss the findings from two different but complementary perspectives: in relation to the four types of organizational cultures in the Cameron/Quinn framework, and as a result of the specific denominational semantics represented in the questionnaire used for the study. The results show how the question of modernity is reflected in organizational culture of churches, and how deeply the respondents’ perception of church is influenced by inherent normativity. One of the central conclusions is that religiously rooted normativity serves as an instrument of balancing the administrative and the spiritual in church.

Abstract:
The article analyzes the emergence of the Tomsk church administration, its transformation into the Siberian church administration and the further spread of renovationism in Western Siberia during the summer of 1922. The author examines in detail the conditions for the creation of the Tomsk church administration, its composition and the role of soviet authorities in the formation of renovationist structures in Western Siberia. The article examines the activities of the Siberian church administration during the summer of 1922: relations with clerics and structures of the soviet government, participation in the campaign for the seizure of church values, the introduction of renovationist transformations and the fight against opposition to renovationism. Attention is paid to the spread of renovationism on the ground and the real support of the Siberian church administration by the West Siberian clergy. The author also analyzes the positions of the episcopate in relation to the Siberian church and the involvement of bishops in the activities of the Siberian church administration. It is concluded that by the end of the summer of 1922, the Siberian church had an episcopate in its composition and enjoyed support in a number of regions, while opposition to Siberian renovationism remained, and mediation between church structures and state bodies in the campaign to seize church values continued to be a significant aspect of activity.

Abstract:
Church administration remains an important component in the canonical organization of the Romanian Orthodox Church. The administrative, political, and social transformations of the last decade confirm that the efficient administration of the priest’s pastoral activity for his community remains a consistent factor in the evaluation of a parish’s activity by Church authorities. The priest is forced to allocate a significant amount of time and energy to setting up and maintaining an efficient administration. This responsibility places the priest in administrative relations with several players: with believers (Christians), as members of the community involved in the administrative decision-making process; with public institutions as social partners, and finally with the Church hierarchy as a decision-maker organism in the administration of the parish assets. In this situation, in which the parish priest’s work revolves around these players, indispensable for the provision of resources with which to undertake his pastoral care, church administration can become a blocking point in the pastoral care of rural communities. For this reason, an analysis of the convergence and divergence between church administration and pastoral care of rural communities can be a starting point for identifying appropriate canonical solutions for the pastoral care of rural communities.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this study is to examine records management practices as factors influencing the administration of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion). Design/methodology/approach – The study adopted the causal-comparative research design of the ex post facto type. The multi-stage sampling technique was used to select the sample for the study. A four-point Likert scale questionnaire that ranged from strongly disagree, disagree, agree and strongly agree was used to collect data. Three research questions were raised and answered. Data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Findings – The outcome shows the various records management practices that the Church engaged in which include the creation, maintenance, ease of access to, use, preservation and final disposal of the records. Other findings of the study also revealed the joint influence (positive relationship) of records management practices (records creation, use, maintenance and retention or disposal) on the administration of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) to be significant which follows that there is a significant positive relationship between records management practices and administration of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion). Also, it is only record use (β = 0.27; t = 5.53; p < 0.05) that has a significant relative influence on the Church of Nigeria’s (Anglican Communion) administration. Others like record creation or received (β = 0.02; t = 0.28; p > 0.05), records maintenance (β = −0.06; t = −0.93; p > 0.05) and records retention or disposal (β = 0.11; t = 1.76; p > 0.05) have no significant influence on the church administration. Therefore, it is only records use that can predict or influence the administration of Anglican Church positively. Originality/value – The study is the original findings of the authors.

Abstract:
The church is a community of believers in Jesus Christ who engage in various religious activities. In managing these busy activities, the church administration often faces the risk of human error. In response to digitalization challenges, the idea of creating a church information system application emerged to address these issues, known as the church information center application. The purpose of this application is to assist in the smooth operation of church activities and simplify the administrative processes involved in each activity. The results show that the developed church information center application can be accessed by all church members through the Android platform. The features within the application help facilitate the reception of church information and administration processes. The application's interface was also well-received by the congregation. The average score for measuring the system's usability using the SUS method is 72, which can be categorized as a grade scale C with the adjective rating "good"

The article is devoted to the problem of changing the view of the historian of the Russian Orthodox Church Anton V. Kartashev on the peculiarities of the existence of Orthodoxy in the historical period of the Russian Empire. By comparing pre-revolutionary articles and publications of the 1930s and 1950s, the key positions of these changes are determined, and the factors that contributed to the evolution of the historian's scientific views are identified. The author concludes that Kartashev turns from an active critic of church shortcomings into an apologist of the Russian Church of the imperial period, and reveals many positive features of the existence of Orthodoxy during the period of Synodal administration. Abstract:
The article examines the congresses of clergy and laity that took place after the February Revolution of 1917 in the South of Russia — on the Don, Stavropol and Kuban, which were the part of the movement propagated throughout the country. It marked the broad inclusion of clergy and laity in the reform of the synodal system of relations and the solution of accumulated intra-church problems. The author examines the nature of the expansion of the participation of parish clergy and laity in church administration, the participation of diocesan bishops in these processes, the question of how the participants of the congresses imagined combining these ideas with the traditional hierarchical structure of the Church. The study is based on the protocols of the congresses of the clergy and laity and the discussion of their decisions on the pages of the periodical press of that time. The author comes to the conclusion that the congresses of the South of Russia have shown a desire to unite all members of the church community, without violating the traditional right of diocesan bishops to church governance. The revolt against the episcopal authority has passed the Cossack territories. In the inclusion of lower clergy and laity in the church administration, their participants saw the implementation of the principles of conciliarity. The most important component of the reform was the inclusion of laypeople in the church administration bodies of different levels, which took place at the initiative of the clergy as a whole.

Abstract:
The article begins with Pope Francis’ teachings on synodality, the synodal Church and the meaning of synodality in the juridical system of the Church. It is the intent of this article to explain the diocesan bishop’s importance and his role in the fulfillment of synodality. The author includes also an examination of ecclesiastical organs at the diocesan level, of a group of dioceses and in the universal Church. The need is highlighted for greater collaboration between shepherds of the Church and the faithful which could help the Church achieve more profound communion and which would be in accordance with the contemporary Pope’s wish for a synodal path for the whole of God’s people. On this path, the diocesan bishop is a key figure in the realization of the synodal Church: firstly, at the level of his diocese in which he should acknowledge the right of the faithful to advise their shepherd and assist him in the administration of the particular Church, and secondly, at the level of the universal Church, in constructing a hierarchical communion with the Roman Pontiff and the College of Bishops. The diocesan bishop can help in the administration of the universal Church on behalf of God’s people, keeping the needs and dignity of the faithful always in mind.

Abstract:
This article reconstructs the projects for reforming the middle-level stages of the church administration, namely, the deanery, the okrug and the diocese. The research is based on the Instructions to the All-Russian Congress of Clergy and Laity, which took place in Moscow in June 1917. The authors of the Instructions to the Congress saw the parish as the main unit of church administration, so that the parish was to become the model for rebuilding all the levels of church administration up to the level of the Local Russian Church. Nevertheless, the church tradition of the preceding periods had left its mark on the basic structure of church administration, and the authors of the reform projects could not but reckon with this fact. Their proposals on most of the then issues represent a bold attempt to combine the adherence to the tradition of the Church with Liberal Democratic and even leftist ideas. A similar concept has entered the projects of reforming the church-administrative structure. While the ideas of the parish reform have been largely reflected in the decisions of the 1917-18 Local Council (with the task of reorganizing the high-level church administration being transferred directly to the Council by a great number of Congress delegates), the projects for rebuilding the deanery, the okrug and the diocese remain unknown to researchers and therefore should be illuminated.

Abstract:
This study aims to explain the presence of the Indische Kerk (church) of the Dutch colonial government in Minahasa, identify the problems faced by the Indische Kerk and efforts to address them in Minahasa, and analyze politics and political education in Minahasa, as well as the impact of colonial politics on the process of church ministry in Minahasa. This study employs both the structural method of Lloyd (1978) and the explanation of the fact theory of Tilly (1978). Research and discussion revealed that the presence of the Indische Kerk in Minahasa is connected to the rule of the Dutch colonial administration following the bankruptcy of the VOC trade partnership on December 31, 1799. Consequently, NZG cannot refinance its work in Minahasa. The Dutch colonial administration utilized the church door, the Indische Kerk, to exert control over the Minahasa people. However, some Minahasa-educated individuals who comprehended the politics of the Dutch colonial administration and who collaborated with the Indische Kerk to control the Minahasa people opposed the colonial church's engagement in establishing an autonomous church in Minahasa.

Abstract:
Abstract The Administration of Ecclesiastical Goods between State and Church: Fabricae Ecclesiae in Wuerttemberg in the 19th and 20th centuries. Since the Middle Ages, fabricae ecclesiae served to finance the erection and the maintenance of churches. The Church claimed to freely administer these goods, even if lay men often served as administrators. In the 19th century, the Kingdom of Wuerttemberg took over control of these goods and ordered the state municipality, assisted by local clerics, to govern them. In 1887, the king of Wuerttemberg started a process to separate ecclesiastical from secular goods. After WWI, the fabricae ecclesiae in Wuerttemberg were administered entirely by the Catholic Church. This contribution analyses this evolution from three perspectives, namely universal canon law, state law in Wuerttemberg, and particular canon law. It thereby highlights the tension between self-administration and state control of ecclesiastical goods, especially in the 19th century, and points to the fact that even the Catholic Church was part of the secular ruler’s authority over the church.

Abstract:
AbstractThis article uses new archival evidence and the growing literature on religion and the foreign relations of the United States to reinterpret the Peace Corps. The religious revival of the 1950s continued into the 1960s, and the Kennedy administration saw ‘spiritual values’ as part of the national interest. Church–state politics and Kennedy's public conception of the role of religion in foreign relations dictated that this aspect of the cold war would change in form. The Peace Corps should, in part, be seen as a continuation of the religious cold war, one that drew on the precedents of missionary and church-service organizations. The Corps was a counterpart to church groups working abroad, and hoped to subcontract much of its work to them. Kennedy hoped to work with religious groups in ecumenical fashion. As Catholic organizations were most visibly interested in receiving Corps funds, funding church groups proved politically unworkable, leading to church–state arguments that Kennedy wanted to avoid. The Kennedy administration struggled to separate the secular and the sacred, as confused definitions of ‘religion’ and a tough constitutional stance narrowed policy options. The Peace Corps fight shaped, and was shaped by, contemporary debates over church and state.

Abstract:
Abstract This article studies the rhetoric of a traditional Protestant denomination, the United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP), in advocating the resumption of peace talks during the Duterte administration. The church believes that the peace negotiations between the Philippine government and communist revolutionary groups will solve the fifty-year conflict that has claimed thousands of lives of combatants and civilians in the countryside. At the beginning of Duterte’s term, the UCCP extended support for his administration. This was based on the alignment between the church and the President’s goals of purging of systemic sins in Philippine society through peacemaking. Using the theological rhetoric of the social gospel as framework, the UCCP first considered President Duterte as the ideal rhetorical audience who can address urgent needs through the resumption of peace talks. However, after two years of Duterte’s broken campaign promises, the church began to address its own constituents as the rhetorical audience they need to persuade in order to purge the systemic sins of Philippine society. Church members must be in solidarity with their leaders in opposing President Duterte’s policies. Through a shift from a rhetoric of transcendence to that of resistance, the church persuades its audiences of the sacredness of political support or opposition, giving religious justification to the mission of social reform.

Abstract:
Recent studies on African churches in Late Antiquity (especially Donatist and Catholic) have argued for their robust wealth, especially after the Donatist church was forced to unify with the Catholics after the Conference of Carthage in 411. This paper employs archaeological, historical, and ecclesiastical scholarship to scrutinize assumptions about African ecclesiastical wealth from a number of different perspectives and probes the merits of how wealth is currently estimated, including tabulation and use of comparanda. Archaeological evidence to support the idea of massive church wealth, including evidence of involvement in manufacturing and basic collaboration or coordinated activity, is too thin to warrant credence. Once current assumptions about African church wealth have been critiqued, the paper turns to the role that the Roman administration played in African church finances. Archaeological and ecclesiastical studies on Africa identify the imperial court as the great financial supporter of the Catholic church, which became rich, it is argued, through the emperor’s gifts and economic favoritism. This paper argues that, to the contrary, repeated threat of confiscation before 411 and, in particular, attempts by imperial personnel to coordinate church mergers in Africa after 411 promoted the dispersal and scattering of resources away from churches and into private hands. Institutional structures of the church and the imperial administration encouraged financial atomization and dispersal, not consolidation and accumulation.

Abstract:
The present study deals with the establishment and development of diplomatic relations between Czechoslovakia and the Holy See immediately after the creation of Czechoslovakia in the fall of 1918 which underwent a dramatic and turbulent change. The most acute questions to discuss included the filling of Czech and Slovak bishopric thrones, the Church administration in Slovakia and the matters of Church education while the filling of the bishopric thrones in the Czech lands and Slovakia proved to be of crucial importance for the proper functioning of the Church administration in Czechoslovakia. The study is based on source material, mainly of diplomatic nature, from the Archive of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Prague and the Vatican archives, the study reconstructs the character, form and transformation of diplomatic relations between the young Republic and the headquarters of the Catholic Church in Rome at the turn of the 1910s and 1920s. Extensive archival funds have been confronted with numerous literature sources, including contemporary history texts.

Abstract:
This article studies the US administration's policy towards the Orthodox Church, its historical genesis and the factors influencing the current situation in the Orthodox world. The key role in this direction of the US politics belongs to the Constantinople Patriarchate as a tool for confronting Russia and dividing the Orthodox world. The author examines the connections of the new US President Joe Biden with the Constantinople Patriarchate, including the facts of Constantinople's support of Biden's political course. Constantinople's latest social document and hierarchical actions demonstrate loyalty to the US Administration's policy and globalist ideas, in addition to Constantinople's attempts to politicize the religious factor in promoting “democracy”. The cooperation between the Constantinople Patriarchate and US Administration, which began in 1940s, resulted in high dependence of this church structure upon the US political interests. The author states that Fener and Washington support each other and coordinate their actions: they have attempted open aggression against the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the Russian Orthodox Church as a whole, which resulted in destroying the unity of the Orthodox world. The Constantinople Patriarchate's affiliation with the political interests of the United States and the Democratic Party leads them to avoid criticizing abortion and LGBT ideology and preventing the development of modernist tendencies within their Church. This causes discontent among priests and laymen, as well as their departure for other jurisdictions, including the Russian Orthodox Church. In the coming years, the dramatic events in the Orthodox world will most likely continue, and the US will proceed using one of the oldest local churches in its political interests.

Antimension is a liturgical object used to perform the main sacrament of the Church, the Divine Liturgy. The antimension, like a big number of church art objects such as altar gospels and crosses, eucharistic vessels and many other liturgical items changed its appearance throughout the history of the Russian Orthodox Church, but retained its main purpose unchanged. Church art originated at the moment of the Church foundation by Christ is an integral part of her life. Throughout the history of the Church, church art has always responded to the calls of the time and the cultural environment. The purpose of this article is to consider the antimension collection of the Church History Cabonet at the Kolomna Theological Seminary. Antimensions are reviewed in chronological order with an indication of their stylistic features. The author traces the change in the iconographic versions of antimenses in the second half of the XVII – late XX centuries.

The Polish government aimed at finalizing the matter of autocephaly as soon as possible. Initially, he laid the foundations for a diplomatic mission in Moscow, which eventually led to negotiations with the Moscow Patriarchate. The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Public Enlightenment sought to initially regulate the matter of the Orthodox Church within its competence, namely in the area of the Congress Kingdom, conducting talks with representatives of the Civil Administration of Eastern Territories in Vilnius and the Civil Administration of Volhynia and Podolia. Preliminary talks between the government and church hierarchs on autocephaly in the period from independence to the end of the Polish-Soviet war with the Treaty of Riga of March 18, 1921 were an important step in regulating the canonical and legal position of the Orthodox Church in Poland.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the problems of church-state relations; the canonical authority of the diocesan bishops was limited through the intervention of the state apparatus in the diocesan administration. The peculiarity of church-state legal relations lies in the restrictive nature of state-legal and church-legal regulation: on the one hand, the state cannot interfere in canonical, liturgical, internal church life, on the other hand, the church does not participate in state political activity. The study of this topic is an analysis of the activities of state bodies in purely ecclesiastical affairs, in the affairs of diocesan administration. During these periods, the Russian Orthodox Church actually found itself in complete subordination to the secular authorities, and the management of the Church turned into part of the state apparatus for church affairs. The article presents a number of canonical rights of the bishop, which were limited by state intervention.

Abstract:
The article examines the transformation of relations between the state and the Church in the aspect of the repressive policy of the Soviet government on the example of the Nizhny Novgorod diocese in the period 1918 – 1921. This study reflects issues directly related to the reaction of the church administration to the unfolding full-scale persecution. The author compares the situation in the Nizhny Novgorod diocese with the historical circumstances in other dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church and finds that the Nizhny Novgorod scenario is typical. Nevertheless, there are some features of the historical picture on the Nizhny Novgorod land, due to certain circumstances and personal characteristics of representatives of both secular and Ecclesiastical authorities. This article hypothesizes that the loyal position of the ruling bishop and the diocesan council in relation to the Soviet government did not lead to the cessation of persecution, but contributed to a partial improvement in the state of church affairs in the field. The analysis of the historical situation shows how the degree of loyalty of the diocesan administration towards the new government has changed, taking into account the aggressive pressure from the ruling circles. Russian Russian Orthodox Church. The results of this study can be used in works aimed at studying the history of the Russian Orthodox Church during the period of the beginning of the persecution to obtain a holistic picture of church life, the life of believers in Russia on the example of the Russian province.

Abstract The author of this article reviews the reforms of the higher administration of the Russian Church that were carried out by the All-Russian Local Council in 1917–1918. These reforms decisively changed the system of government of one of the largest Orthodox Churches in the world. The model included the regular holding of Local Councils of various types, the leadership of the Church by the Patriarch, the work of permanent bodies of church power – the Synod and the Supreme Church Council (with the participation of not only bishops but also clergy and laity), the creation of church districts on the territory of the former Russian Empire. New managing mechanisms began their work, but after a few years they were curtailed due to repressions against Russian Orthodoxy, but at the end of the twentieth and beginning of the twenty-first centuries they were not resumed for other, even though also political, reasons.

Abstract:
During the Civil War, Orthodox education, including higher theological education, in the South of Russia underwent serious trials: there were not enough funds, premises, and teaching staff. Premises were requisitioned, and regional governments were not always able to respond to the needs of the Church. Nevertheless, the Orthodox Church, represented by the South-Eastern Council of 1919 and the Provisional Higher Church Administration, did not cease to solve the problems of education, expressing concern not only for the material support of the theological school, but also for improving the content of education and pedagogical methods. Until the very final defeat of the White movement, attempts to open new educational institutions were not abandoned. This is evidenced by a published document — the minutes of the meeting of the Provisional Higher Church Administration in the South-East of Russia dated August 11, 1920, at which the opening of a higher theological school in Crimea was considered. Unfortunately, due to time circumstances, this project was not implemented. Abstract:
This article makes public the letters of Revd. Vladimir Rodzianko (Hieromonk Vasily) to Protopresbyter Georgy Grabbe. Both the sender and the addressee are wellknown. The former is the future bishop and a long-term prsenter of Orthodox programmes on BBC Radio. The former also became a bishop, and for many years was the secretary of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Church Abroad having a great infl uence on its policy. The letters were written in the early 1979 in the moment of great changes in the life of their author. The fi rst letter was prepared when he was Protopriest Vladimir, the second soon after his becoming a monk as Hieromonk Vasily. The reason for the letters were the attacks of the administration of the Russian Church Abroad against Moscow Patriarchate as well as the idea, popular in the Russian Orthodox Church, that there is no holy grace at all in any communities not belonging to the Orthodox Church. This idea was put forward by Protopresbyter G. Grabbe in the article Acribeia and Oeconomy. This approach was aggravated by the fact that the administration of the Russian Church Abroad regarded as apostate the clergy of Moscow Patriarchate. The consequence was an idea about their gracelessness. Hieromonk Vasily (Rodzianko) thought that this was erroneous and dangerous. Using certain historical evidence and an opinion of St. Ioann (Maksimovich), he claimed that the Orthodox gaith and the Eucharist are supreme over the jurisdictional controversies and that the temporary discord does not aff ect grace. The letters contain interesting facts as to relations between the Russian Church Abroad and the Serbian Church in the 1920s — 1940s, describe little-known details between the Russian Church Abroad and other branches of Russian church in exile.

Abstract:
The 1983 Code of Canon Law does not contain any norms regulating the economic activity of ecclesiastical juridic persons. This does not mean, however, that canon law has no regard for that. The ecclesiastical legislator’s concern for the supervision of economic activity is expressed in the regulation of rather complex ways of managing church property, including the special act of its alienation, and determination of penal sanctions for violating the relevant rules. The penal norm of Canon 1377 that was previously in force, penalizing the alienation of church property without the requisite permission, has now been significantly extended. Pope Francis, reforming Book VI of the Code of Canon Law, expanded the scope and principles of penal liability for economic abuses by redacting Canon 1376 anew. The norm of this provision penalises the offence of misappropriating or preventing the gaining of benefits from church goods (which was previously absent from the Code) and the offence of performing unlawful acts in the administration of church goods (which has been significantly extended). Reflecting on the penal aspect of administration of church property, the article attempts to answer the following questions: What are these offences? What was the legislator’s intention? What is the essence of the penal law reform in the area at hand?

The church leadership has been active in supporting the most vulnerable and preserving the democratic order of society. Under these conditions Protestantism was not widespread, being practiced by about eight percent of the population in the last decade, the growth of Protestants has stopped. Abstract:
The article highlights the first period of the Soviet government's systematic struggle with the Russian Orthodox Church using the example of the Turkestan and Tashkent dioceses. It was an organized, tightly centralized campaign that began under the pretext of the need to withdraw all church valuables to help the hungry. The real goal of the campaign was to solve the financial problems of the Soviet state by defeating the Church (confiscation of valuables and organization of the Renovationist schism). In 1922, there were extremely few valuable items in the churches of the Turkestan ASSR, nevertheless, in the summer, with a delay of several months, the expropriation of church values was carried out here. The details of the withdrawal procedure are shown on the example of the churches of Alma-Ata, Tashkent and rural temples. The second goal of the withdrawal campaign – the elimination of the canonical system of church administration and its replacement with renovationist structures – in the Turkestan diocese was achieved by mid-1923. The specifics of achieving this goal were clarified by comparing the local church chronicle with the central plan of the campaign. Thanks to this, it became possible for the first time to explain the logic of the events that took place in the Tashkent in late 1922 – early 1923, and to explain the reasons for the sudden refusal of Archbishop Innokenty (Pustynsky) from the administration of the Turkestan diocese and his departure from Tashkent.

Abstract:
This article proposes a classification of Vyatka church seals from the 18th to the early 20th century based on materials from the collection of sphragistics at the P. V. Alabin Kirov Regional Local Lore Museum. The criteria for classification include the affiliation of the seals with specific individuals and institutions, as well as the specific images depicted on the seals. The article identifies four groups of seals: seals of church administration, seals of spiritual educational institutions, seals of churches, and personal seals of clergy. The study reveals that state symbols, such as the doubleheaded eagle, were typically depicted on seals of church administration and spiritual educational institutions. Seals of parish churches depicted real church buildings or saints until the first third of the 19th century when they were replaced by a standardized image of a three-domed church. Seals belonging to Vyatka bishops were typically twosided with images of a blessing hand and the Holy Trinity. From the mid-19th century, they were replaced by one-sided seals with images of two blessing hands. All personal seals of bishops have circular legends with their names. Seals belonging to other clergy members contain information about the owner’s name, initials, surname, and sometimes their rank. The most popular symbol for all groups of seals was the All-Seeing Eye, symbolizing God’s omniscience.

The article discusses the process of creation in 1922-1923. Yelets autocephaly, whose leaders - as well as the leaders of the Petrograd, Ufa, Belev and Nizhny Tagil autocephalies - refused to recognize the authority of the renovationist "Supreme Church Administration" and continued to remain faithful to Patriarch Tikhon. The author of the study not only restores the history of the emergence and activity of the autocephalous Yelets diocesan administration in the Orel diocese that joined the Renovationists, but also reveals the features of the creation of the Yelets autocephaly in comparison with similar processes in other regions listed above. One of these features can be called the fact that in Yelets the creation of autocephaly, which began two weeks after the Renovationist coup in Moscow - at the end of May 1922, was already carried out by mid-September, and without the direct participation of the bishops who were imprisoned - by forces active parish clergy, who transferred the administration of autocephaly to Bishop Nikolai (Nikolsky) of Yelets, who was released in October 1922. The history of the Yelets diocesan administration went beyond the Oryol diocese and by 1923 reached the level of the highest executive authorities of the Soviet state. Yelets autocephaly was the only autocephaly considered in the article, created without the participation of bishops, by the forces of the clergy and laity - already in September 1922. The study of the example of self-organization of a part of the church people in Yelets during the schism of the 1920s, the study of the significance of church documents of 1917-1922 supporting the self-government of parishes and dioceses, acquires additional relevance for developing a strategy to minimize the spread of regional church-political unrest.

Abstract:
The royal regulations protecting the interests of the Christian church and property are usually considered to represent the legal significance of the Kálmán era. However, the contemporary decrees, privileges (letters patent) and other written documents – all of which is a kind of sources of law – also describe some of the basic institutions of the state and public law. We can find regulations and descriptions concerning legislation, administration, judicial power, fiscal policy, church administration, warlordism and diplomatics. Most of these regulations can be related to the royalty, the royal rights and prerogatives representing the fundamental role of the monarch in the state. On the other hand, they also represent the appearance and development of other elements of the operating state.

Abstract:
This article examines the history of the complex relationship between the Russian state and the Russian Orthodox Church. On the one hand, the Orthodox Church was under the protection of the state, and on the other, it was dependent on it. The synodal system of church administration was part of the state apparatus with all the ensuing consequences. Particular attention is paid to religious policy of the emperors, which was aimed at establishing national and religious monolithic and strengthening the role of the Russian Orthodox Church in public life of the country, noting that many problems in the sphere of state-religious and inter-religious relations were associated with the processes of entry and integration of several nations into the Russian Empire.

Abstract:
The family is an important place for individual mental growth. Pastors’ families, however, experience ministry related challenges with potential ramifications on their family stability. The specific objectives were; To find out the extent to which pastors work as a preacher affects family stability in selected churches in Eastlands – Nairobi County, to establish the extent to which pastoral care work affects family stability, and to determine the extent to which church administration work affects family stability. The research was guided by the Structural Family Theory developed by Salvador Minuchin and Family Systems theory propounded by Murray Bowen. Descriptive survey design was used. The sample of 166 respondents comprised of pastors, pastors’ spouses and adult children. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. Hypotheses were tested using Spearman’s rank correlation technique at p<.05. The results showed that the relationship between preaching and family stability was not statistically significant. However, it was found that church administration and pastoral care had a significant negative correlation with family stability. It was recommended that the church needs to find ways of mitigating negative effects of church ministry by professionalizing its human resource systems and engaging professional counsellors for pastors and their families.

Abstract:
Church parishioners data management is an important part of the administration of a church. In fact, many churches do it manually where parishionersal data is stored in physical forms or in church record books. This condition happened at GKJ Wates. The initial condition at GKJ Wates is the data from of a physical form . The data is the result of the census about 2 (two) years ago. It is realized that the data has changed a lot, so it is necessary to update before implementing electronic data management. In an effort to assist the administration of the church's data, assistance steps have been developed that include the compilation of attributes relevant to the church's data management. Furthermore, the attributes are compiled into a form that is ready to be filled out by each parishioners. This agreed form is then distributed to the parishioners through their respective district administrators. The church team, assisted by the UKDW PkM team, recorded the parishioners's data electronically, complete with a spiritual journey scheme including baptism, sidi, and marriage. By utilizing Excel Macro, the electrical data of the GKJ Wates parishioners was successfully visualized in the form of a dashboard. The visualized parishioners data includes the percentage of the parishioners by blood type and gender, the church's spiritual journey scheme based on membership category, membership records, age category, and gender. The information on this dashboard can help the church in making decisions related to the development of the parishioners at GKJ Wates.
