Abstract:
Purpose: This paper aims to assess accounting application in church financial reporting. Methodology: There were two main stages of this research methodology. Firstly, an extensive literature study was to develop the framework of the relationship between religion and accounting and to find the research gap to be fulfilled in theoretical based. Secondly, the technical research method included a case study approach to examine the current application of the church financial report and the PSAK 45 accounting application. Results: There are significant discrepancies between the Treasury Report made by the church and the financial statements made under PSAK 45. The information under PSAK 45 provides more relevant information to the stakeholders to assess how the church actualizes the theology values into its activities. Firstly, the PSAK 45 Activity Report reveals the information for the stakeholders, particularly the management, to evaluate the effect of money proportioned into church activity. Secondly, the reports show how the direct and indirect costs are allocated into services activities to assess, how much direct cost has been allocated to successfully implement the mission through the roles. Thirdly, the reports tell stakeholders how the church manages its activities effectively to serve not only the congregations but also the wider society in order to attain its vision. Finally, the balance sheet reveals the increasing or decreasing value of net assets and how the assets are effectively used – or not. Implications: The benefits of the implementation of the accounting standard to help the church to implement their sacred mission and criticizes the opponent's views that perceive accounting as profane, and irrelevant as well as irreverent. It provides significance that accounting standards should be mandatory in Indonesia for all non-profit groups.

Abstract:
Management is the integration and coordination of resources to effectively move the organization towards the desired goals. The concepts and key elements in management are organizations. This organization is also divided into two namely: voluntary organizations and voluntary organizations. The objectives of this management are: (1) Vision and mission for existence; (2) Objectives and targets; (3) The desired destination and floating destination. Management effectiveness refers to how well an organization reaches its goals over a period of time. This emphasizes goals or mission (long distance) and goals (short term). Effectiveness contrasts with efficiency. Efficiency is a short-term measure of how well an organization uses resources. Healthy organization management must be effective and efficient. Leadership relates to people, while management pays more attention to tasks and performance. As far as the organization is concerned, these two things have the same function in promoting the well-being and development of healthy organizations to achieve organizational goals.

Abstract:
Abstract This research explores the influence of organizational culture on church management effectiveness, a crucial aspect in the dynamics of religious life within communities. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, we delve into various sources to gain a profound understanding of this phenomenon. Our findings highlight that the church's organizational culture comprises norms, values, and assumptions that shape its unique identity. Dimensions such as communication, training, recognition, decision-making, risk-taking, planning, collaboration, and management practices contribute to this organizational culture framework. Church management effectiveness, as an effort to integrate resources to achieve the church's goals, is influenced by various factors such as organizational characteristics, environment, members, and management practices. The close relationship between organizational culture and church management is key to achieving effectiveness, while weak culture can impede church goals. Furthermore, a positive organizational culture positively impacts church members' performance and creates an adequate religious environment. In conclusion, a strong relationship between organizational culture and church management supports the growth and sustainability of the church in fulfilling its mission and goals. Thus, a deep understanding of the dynamics of church organizational culture can help enhance church management effectiveness and contribute positively to the religious life of communities.

Abstract:
Building the brand of the Catholic Church is an area that is little explored in the literature on the subject. This issue turns out to be a very controversial area due to the nature of the activities and the sphere in which these activities are to be performed (marketing, ethics, religion, and faith). The article presents the results of qualitative research conducted among clergymen in Poland and is additionally based on the analysis of the literature on the subject. The theoretical considerations and research results presented in the article help to develop an understanding of the activities of the Catholic Church in Poland, aimed at strengthening the value of its brand. It should be noted that the generational change taking place in Poland forces the clergy to change their narrative and way of conducting dialogue. The previous generations, based on the faith and ethos of John Paul II, also expect modern forms of communication more and more often, which leads to building the brand value of the Catholic Church in Poland. The article discusses the specificity of the interdependence of the Church and marketing, identifies the issues of building the brand of the Catholic Church and the use of modern marketing tools in this process, and presents the results of its own research, which leads to the drawing of final conclusions verifying the research questions posed in the research methodology. This article may initiate an extended discussion on the controversial topic of the implementation of commercial marketing tools into management processes in the Catholic Church.

Abstract:
Abstract This research discusses the effectiveness of leadership management in the context of a church. The church, as a Christian community, possesses distinct characteristics, including the diverse backgrounds of its members in terms of age, occupation, education, and social status. Unlike other organizations with financial orientations, the church aims to fulfill the spiritual needs of its members, emphasizing a focus on conformity to Christ. Church leaders are expected not only to exercise authority for regulation but also to empower the congregation. Effective church leadership involves empowerment, exploration of potentials, and acceptance of differences. Church leaders play a crucial role in the effective growth of the church, and leadership management is key to achieving the church's vision and mission. The research methodology employed is a qualitative descriptive approach with literature review. In-depth analysis of the concept of leadership management in the church is conducted by connecting information from various sources, including books, journals, articles, and relevant websites. The findings indicate that the understanding of the church involves spiritual and organizational dimensions, necessitating effective leadership management. Leadership centered on biblical values, resource management, and the empowerment of congregation members becomes crucial in attaining church goals. The differences and uniqueness of the church demand leaders to implement suitable leadership styles, such as democracy, to support the potential of each member. From this research, it can be observed that effective leadership management in the church plays a crucial role in achieving spiritual and organizational objectives. Church leaders need to develop strategies in line with the church's characteristics and leverage the potential of congregation members for sustainable growth.

Abstract:
Management information systems in church services are also a necessity. One of the organizations that need information technology to support ministry is the church, in this case the churches that are in the GMIT Kalasis service area, East Kupang City. Each of the churches that are in the service of the Klass terrorist in East Kupang City has various information such as church profiles, assembly and congregation data, worship schedules, church financial information, articles and other information. Service information at the church is still not optimal because it is only limited to news from church pulpits and social media. The church service management information system which is still manual, namely by using Microsoft Office and the number of documents stored in the form of physical archives or printed documents such as church member registration documents, mourning, baptism, and marriage still uses data collection forms. System like this is less effective because it can make it difficult for church staff in archiving or searching data and is less efficient because it requires quite large operational costs in each year's service budget. Through this activity the results achieved were providing education so that the church could utilize a website-based management information system that can be installed on Android for the church to have as an effective means of information to support church services to congregations and design a management information system needed by the church in support of church ministry.

Abstract:
This study explores the possible adoption of the Knowledge Management System (KMS) in church management which is an agent in the agency relationship between the management and congregation and donors. Since the agents mostly do not realize that they need to know that they are responsible for the presentation of Financial Reports, thus they do not realize that they need a Knowledge Management System for the Accounting and Financial Reporting; the need must be investigated. Moreover, in the case study church, the accounting process is very much not applied as the result of a lack of knowledge. This fact tells that churches need knowledge of the accounting process. All of those types of knowledge need to be managed in a system. The methodology used in this investigation was The Soft System Methodology (SSM). SSM emphasizes on understanding the problem situations faced by church management and expresses the situations in rich pictures. Data were gathered from interviews, focus group discussions and observations. A protestant church in Jakarta is the case study setting, focusing on pastors who give sermons, presbyters, administrators together with employees who manage all churches’ activities. The findings highlight problems faced by the various stakeholders and propose solutions in the form of a conceptual model for a Knowledge Management System platform to improve learning as well as utilizing digitized knowledge of Accounting and Financial Reporting.

The study aimed to examine the sustainability of the SDA church, South East Kenya Field's finance management systems. Critical gaps in managing the Church's finances have resulted in its unsustainability. Proper financial management systems are necessary to ensure the appropriate use of church resources for long-term sustainability. The Church is facing an economic crisis due to poor financial management, which has resulted in its inability to sustain itself. The Church cannot financially sustain itself and, therefore, cannot meaningfully impact the lives of members of society. The analysis drew upon Stewardship theory, which offered valuable guidance on financial management practices to ensure the long-term viability of the Church. The study used a descriptive research design, and data were obtained using interview schedules and questionnaires from a sample size of 355 participants. The study found that despite having all the financial systems and structures in place, the South East Kenya Field SDA church is still not self-sustaining. The systems need to be fixed since those to ensure that they are working are not adequately trained and not skilled. AbstractIn 1967 the Church of Scientology's tax-exempt status was revoked on the basis that it failed to meet the criteria outlined in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service. Between its loss, and eventual reacquisition in 1993, the Church of Scientology employed a number of political based tactics in an attempt to legitimize itself to the public sector. This article explores these tactics in relation to the religion's use of perception management. The article argues that the processes of both legal recognition and legitimization draw upon each other in a new faith's transition to mainstream theology. Abstract:
GKI Gresik, which is experiencing a decrease in the number of church attendance visits for worship. After the Covid-19 pandemic changed individual behavior in carrying out onsite activities. Currently, several congregations are switching their worship activities online. So it also affects the attendance of the congregation to carry out activities or worship at the church. In 2021 there will be a slight increase because he will be allowed to return to worship in person. The authors used qualitative field research and analytical description methods in this study. In collecting data, the researcher used a questionnaire to six sample congregations who were consumers of the services provided by the church. Improving services to congregations and sympathizers in the realm of management knowledge is included in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) theory. People, processes, and technology can influence customer satisfaction (congregation). Of course, at this time, it is very appropriate if the church can adopt it to maintain and even increase the congregation's commitment.

Abstract:
Congregational growth and spiritual development of church members are the primary goals of every religious community. However, the challenges faced by the church today are not solely limited to spiritual aspects but also consider management aspects that support healthy and sustainable growth. This paper aims to investigate the implementation strategies of church management theory as an effort to advance congregation growth and enhance individual spiritual quality. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, allowing researchers to delve into the complexity of social situations influencing church growth. By combining data from various sources, including books, scholarly articles, and academic journals, the author presents key principles of church management theory, such as shared leadership, humility, and resource management effectiveness. Furthermore, this paper discusses factors influencing congregational growth, including the significant role of prayer, discipleship, fellowship, and testimony in shaping enthusiastic and committed communities. By applying appropriate strategies supported by strong leadership, churches can achieve meaningful and spiritually significant growth, strengthening the foundation of faith and expanding their influence in society. Thus, this paper provides a comprehensive view of the importance of integrating management theory within the church context and offers practical guidance for churches to reinforce growth and spiritual development efforts.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this study is to examine records management practices as factors influencing the administration of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion). Design/methodology/approach – The study adopted the causal-comparative research design of the ex post facto type. The multi-stage sampling technique was used to select the sample for the study. A four-point Likert scale questionnaire that ranged from strongly disagree, disagree, agree and strongly agree was used to collect data. Three research questions were raised and answered. Data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Findings – The outcome shows the various records management practices that the Church engaged in which include the creation, maintenance, ease of access to, use, preservation and final disposal of the records. Other findings of the study also revealed the joint influence (positive relationship) of records management practices (records creation, use, maintenance and retention or disposal) on the administration of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) to be significant which follows that there is a significant positive relationship between records management practices and administration of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion). Also, it is only record use (β = 0.27; t = 5.53; p < 0.05) that has a significant relative influence on the Church of Nigeria’s (Anglican Communion) administration. Others like record creation or received (β = 0.02; t = 0.28; p > 0.05), records maintenance (β = −0.06; t = −0.93; p > 0.05) and records retention or disposal (β = 0.11; t = 1.76; p > 0.05) have no significant influence on the church administration. Therefore, it is only records use that can predict or influence the administration of Anglican Church positively. Originality/value – The study is the original findings of the authors.

Abstract:
The church has not implemented many quality management (TQM) in its institutions because it is considered that this is only for companies that aim to profit. Whereas profit is not TQM orientation but customer satisfaction. The importance of TQM is due to the rapidly changing world and the presence of competitors from both similar and different institutions. One of the products offered by the church is teaching-based, especially the basic doctrines of the Christian faith. This is rarely done by the church, it can be seen from the absence of writings that discuss the doctrine of doctrine as part of church quality management and as an adaptation of the church in dealing with competitors. The approach used in this paper is a qualitative grounded research method; the reason is, that there has not been found a paper that presents the teaching of the basic doctrines of the Christian faith as part of the implementation of TQM in the Church. The results found that teaching the basic doctrines of the Christian faith has made the Church in general able to survive for thousands of years in the midst of various teaching attacks from both internal and external to the Church. The conclusion is that the teaching of the doctrine of the Christian faith is the main product of the Church in satisfying the congregation to ensure that the congregation remains part of the holy community, namely the Church, as well as being an important part of showing the quality of the Church.

Abstract:
The Evangelical Christian Church in Minahasa is a very developed church, and has succeeded in developing its service to the community with various forms of service, such as establishing schools, help the underprivileged congregation through the coffers of love, cooperatives, free medical treatment and so on. The success of the church in presenting clear and transparent financial reporting, becomes a measure of the success of every program that has been planned. In addition, church administrators can easily make accountability to God and church members. Accountability increases the confidence of the congregation, so that they do not hesitate to make donations, as well as transparency reduces misunderstandings or suspicions in the church, including conflicts and divisions that should become one in Christ and the church can continue to improve its services for the glory of God. This study aims to determine the financial management of GMIM, by conducting studies and comparing the management among church organizations, evaluating the financial process into financial statements. Abstract:
Along with the development of the digital era and pandemic conditions have increased the need for systems capable of working remotely. This motivated the researchers to conduct observations at the Bethany Tower of Christ Church. Based on observations and interviews that have been conducted with church pastors and deacons, it is found that the system already owned by the church has a lack of features, one of which is the feature of submitting requests to the church. In addition, there is also a need to update features related to adding devotionals, news, and posts to make it more practical and efficient. The development of this system uses the Waterfall method in which in the process the researcher first conducts direct observation and research at the Bethany Tower of Christ Church followed by analyzing the needs of the church and congregation which results in the design of a congregation management system. As for after the design is done, the system implementation is carried out. After that, researchers conducted testing of system maintenance. Based on the overall results obtained from the survey of respondents' assessment of the website, an average assessment of 87.3% was obtained, indicating that the website is feasible and has impressive respondent satisfaction. Researchers still find shortcomings in the system created, namely the lack of some features and the presence of bugs that need to be fixed. However, researchers still hope that the designed system can be useful for congregations and churches and can continue to be developed and maintained so that the system can be better.

Abstract:
Abstract — Evolution and life in modern times are developing rapidly, marked by the presence of technology such as smart mobile devices or smartphones and information technology today. Developments in modern times also have an impact on church life, one of which is the development of information technology. The management of information technology for the church is of particular concern in the life of the church ministry. One of the problems that occurs is the limited information resources of the congregation because the platform for this is not yet available. It was also found that the administration of attendance data collection for congregational activities still uses traditional methods that are less effective. In connection with the problems described above, it is necessary to breakthrough the management of data information from the old ways to a more systematic and modern process that can be used by the church, especially for the congregation iteself. This research aims to make changes in data management systems for the church, in the form of platforms that can be accessed by the congregation. Where this platform can accommodate congregation information, and can be accessed using existing mobile devices. The presence of information technology innovation by utilizing quick response system technology, helps various fields related to data, one of which is attendance recording. Congregations can use this platform to get access to information from the church. By using the Rapid Application Development method approach, this platform was successfully created as an innovation in church ministry. The result is a platform that is able to manage congregation data, as well as a place to record church attendance, without worrying about data inconsistencies. This platform is expected to be a new forum for church services and increase efficiency and ease of data access for church community layers. Key words—Android; Church; QR; Platform

Abstract:
In a brief review of scholarship, this paper presents the general assessment of Church decline among the Youth in Australia. Journals, books, magazines, and websites information were the resources employed in the analyses. It was discovered that the spiritual and personal growth, discipleship role, and mission life/work determine the young adult's understanding of the church and environment. Lack of interest, busy life schedule, political issues, and people-pleasing were found to have triggered why the young ones have declined in their church attendance. The review recommended that effective youth ministry is possible if there is a specific and time slot for busy life schedule people; pastors adopt strategic ministry to the youth and focus on enhancing the youth's philosophical thoughts. The findings would help appropriate youth ministry in the contemporary context. Future researchers may consider the explanatory or exploratory mixed-methods design.

Abstract:
This article aims at exploring the conflict management mechanisms through social media that the pastors of the Nigerian Baptist Convention are using in their churches. Twenty pastors were randomly and purposively selected from the pool of Baptist church pastors in the Ibadan metropolis. Five key officers of the Nigerian Baptist Convention at the national level at its headquarters were also interacted with. Each of these pastors was orally interviewed. Some documents were used to substantiate or disprove the assertions of these pastors. It was revealed during the study that church members are faced with a lot of conflicts. It was also revealed that pastors have been unconsciously using various conflict management mechanisms to resolve these conflicts. Furthermore, the study revealed that pastors have started using social media to resolve conflicts. The study, therefore, recommends that Baptist pastors in particular and other pastors, in general, should be introduced formally to more conflict management mechanisms in order to more effectively and consciously resolve conflicts among their church members. The study also recommends that pastors should be more familiar with how to use social media to manage conflicts among their church members.

Abstract:
The concept of the synod plays a special role in the Evangelical ecclesiology. In the 20th century, the synod was radically defined as “the personification of the Church.” In the Evangelical tradition, however, there are equal Church management systems: episcopal, synodal-consistory, presbyterian (mainly in the Evangelical-Reformed denomination), and to a lesser extent congregational (especially observed in the so-called free Churches). Reformation theology understands the Church as a community of all saints, where the Gospel is preached purely and the sacraments are properly administered (Augsburg Confession — CA VII). The system of the Church does not belong to the so-called notae ecclesiae. An important theological doctrine of the Reformation is the teaching about the universal priesthood of all believers, which is the theological foundation of the idea of the synodal responsibility of the Church. In the 19th century synods concerned mainly clergy. In the 20th century, in the course of democratisation processes, most Evangelical Churches raised the importance of the synod in the overall management of the Church, and the Polish Lutheran Church introduced a provision into her law which stipulates that the synod is “the embodiment of the Church” and its supreme authority.

Abstract:
In recent years numerous wilding projects have emerged, many inspired by Isabella Tree’s book Wilding (Tree 2018). Wilding tells the story of the transformation of the estate at Knepp from intensive arable farm to biodiverse woodland and scrub. Wilding is a process that offers a new paradigm for land management, in which nature leads and human agency facilitates. Here I argue that wilding offers a rich metaphor for a new paradigm of ecclesial imagination in a secular age. This new “ecclesial imaginary” places the Church as a co-agent with the Holy Spirit, participating in the emergent life generated through the power of the Spirit. The use of this metaphor in nature conservation is described and its theological validity explored. The article ends with some preliminary reflections on the potential of this metaphor to move the Church toward a more fruitful disposition in its mission in a secular age.
