In the paper, we generalized the idea of circle inversion to star-shaped sets and used the generalized inversion to replace the circle inversion transformation in the algorithm for the generation of the circle inversion fractals. In this way, we obtained the star-shaped set inversion fractals. The examples that we have presented show that we were able to obtain very diverse fractal patterns by using the proposed extension and that these patterns are different from those obtained with the circle inversion method. Moreover, because circles are star-shaped sets, the proposed generalization allows

AbstractGiven a smooth minimal surface F: Ω → ℝ3 defined on a simply connected region Ω in the complex plane ℂ, there is a regular SG circle pattern . By the Weierstrass representation of F and the existence theorem of SG circle patterns, there exists an associated SG circle pattern in ℂ with the combinatoric of . Based on the relationship between the circle pattern and the corresponding discrete minimal surface F∊: → ℝ3 defined on the vertex set of the graph of , we show that there exists a family of discrete minimal surface Γ∊: → ℝ3, which converges in C∞(Ω) to the minimal surface F: Ω → ℝ3

Descriptive geometry, as the elementary one, studies the real world by its abstractions. But Euclid’s geometry of the real world is conjugated to pseudo-Euclidean geometry, and they make a conjugated pair. As a consequence, each real figure is conjugated with some imaginary pattern. This paper apart from some science facts demonstrates the presence of imaginary patterns in geometric constructions, where the imaginary patterns manifest themselves as singularities or as geometrically imaginary points (GIP) in “Real — Imaginary” conjugate pairs. The aim of this thesis is to add to the growing body of knowledge about the effects of local and national events on the survival and fortunes of individual families and to explore the contribution of these families to the political scene. The dates, circa 1460 to 1560, were chosen partly because this was a.period of change and partly because it is a relatively neglected period; bridging as it does the Medieval and Early Modern divide. The first part explores the financial and political fortunes of ten families. All of them came to be residents of Northamptonshire during this period but this is

Abstract:
Circle Pattern is a novel method for the construction of discrete conformal mappings from surface meshes of arbitrary topology to the plane. This approach is based on representing mesh as arrangements of circles – one for each face – with prescribed intersection angles. Given these angles the circle radii follow as the unique minimizer of a convex energy. The method supports very flexible boundary conditions ranging from free boundaries to control of the boundary shape via prescribed curvatures. Closed meshes of genus zero can be parameterized over the sphere. To parameterize higher genus mesh

The scope of combining two wettability regions is to impact the droplet dynamic behaviors, manipulate the droplets’ mobility and enhance condensation heat transfer. Hydrophobic-hydrophilic hybrid patterns can promote the heat transfer, droplet-renewal frequency and enhance the droplets’ removal during condensation. With regard of condensation on hybrid surfaces, the geometry of the patterns has a significant influence on droplets departure frequency and heat transfer performance. Therefore, different patterns geometries (circle, ellipse, and diamond) have been developed on horizontal copper tu

Abstract The work presented in this paper derives from the design of a position sensing interferometer, in which circular fringe patterns are automatically analyzed by a computer vision system. Central to this process is a circle fitting problem in the sense of least Linfinity norm, also known as Chebichev or MinMax fit. The problem at hand can be formulated as follows: Given a set of points in the plane, find the pair of concentric circles with minimum radial gap enclosing all the points. The solution to this problem is elegantly given by common computational geometry tools, indeed the center
