Iridium complexes with a chiral metal center and chiral carbons, Λ/Δ-(dfppy)₂Ir(chty-R) and Λ/Δ-(dfppy)2Ir(chty-S), were synthesized and characterized. These isomers have the same steadystate photophysical properties, and obvious offsets in ECD spectra highlight both the chiral sources. First, by properly introducing dual strip-sleeves shorting at the ground plane, the antenna design provides the impedance bandwidths (RL≧10 dB) of 270 / 988 MHz and the 3 dB axial-ratio (AR) bandwidth of about 85/710 MHz for 2.4/5.2 GHz wireless local area network (WLAN) applications, respectively. The proposed planar antenna reduces the antenna size by at least 22% since the overall antenna size is only 40 × 40 × 1.6 mm3

The ring is stacked above the patch and is separated from the patch by an air layer with around 0.1 wavelengths thickness. By controlling relative sizes of the ring and the patch, a wideband circularly polarized wave can be generated. In experiment, the antenna yields a 10dB return loss bandwidth of 15.7%(836-979MHz) and a 3dB axial ratio bandwidth of 7.7%(870-940MHz). the antenna gain is more than 6dBic within the over lapped return loss and axial ratio bandwidth.
