Perkembangan jaringan komputer saat ini begitu pesat dengan seiringnya waktu, simulasi jaringan komputer sangat dibutuhkan pada langkah awal dalam pembangunan jaringan komputer serta menentukan bentuk dari jaringan yang akan di terapkan. Software cisco packet tracer 6.2 dapat digunakan sebagai simulasi yang menggambarkan arsitektur dan juga model dari jaringan komputer pada sistem jaringan yang digunakan nantinya. Dengan menggunakan aplikasi software cisco packet tracer 6.2 dapat menentukan bentuk jaringan yang akan di terapkan, baik penentuan topologi jaringan, penentuan concentrator, media transmisi, IP adrress, dan menentukan router. Saat ini, industri berlomba untuk merancang perangkat elektronik yang dapat dikomunikasikan melalui jaringan internet. Sektor industri memanfaatkan konsep Internet of Things (IoT). IoT sendiri digunakan dalam manfaat komunikasi antar alat dan monitoring. Berdasarkan hal itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat sebuah perancangan smart home dengan menggunakan simulator cisco packet tracer. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua tahap diantaranya : desain smart home dan pengujian dengan simulator cisco packet tracer. Peneliti membuat sebuah rancangan smart home dengan 3 komponen utama yaitu pintu, kipas angin dan monitoring camera. Ketiga komponen tersebut masing – masing memiliki protocol yang berbeda. Hasil dari pengujian menunjukan bahwa protocol smart home yang dirancang dapat berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan rules yang telah ditentukan.

Abstract:
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas media simulator cisco packet tracer terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik SMKS YPPP Wonomulyo kompetensi adminitrasi infrastruktur jaringan dengan pembahasan firewall jaringan komputer. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu Nonequivalen Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah 2 kelas pada jurusan teknik komputer dan jaringan di SMKS YPPP Wonomulyo. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa peserta didik kelas eksperimen mendapat nilai tuntas sebesar 10% untuk pretest dan 93,33% untuk posttest. Sedangkan peserta didik pada kelas kontrol mendapat nilai tuntas sebesar 6,67% untuk pretest dan 50% untuk posttest. Dengan rata-rata peningkatan hasil belajar untuk kelas eksperimen sebesar 37,12% dan kelas kontrol 17,41%. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik antara kelas yang menggunakan media simulator Cisco Packet Tracer dan kelas yang tidak menggunakan media simulator Cisco Packet Tracer. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis simulator Cisco Packet Tracer efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI TKJ di SMKS YPPP Wonomulyo.

The Computer Networking course commonly taught in mixed mode involving lecture and practical session whereas beside face-to-face theory session, students need to experience hands-on activities in order to appreciate the technology and contents. Nevertheless the abstraction in Computer Networking course such as the complexity in TCP/IP network layering, the connection and configuration of client and server’s framework, differences in static and dynamic IP address configuration had imposed a great challenge for students to understand and grab the main concept of computer networking technology. As such, an approach of using computer network simulation and visualization tool in teaching and learning Computer Networking course is seen beneficial for educators and students. In this research, computer network simulation software of CISCO Packet Tracer was utilized in Computer Networking (MTN3023) course. Students (N=55) were exposed to CISCO Packet Tracer on which they developed Wide Area Network (WAN) that consists of configuration activities of Personal Computer (PC), Servers and Switches according to CISCO standard. Subsequently, student’s feedback and their insight on the effectiveness of CISCO packet Tracer in learning computer networking were probed using questionnaire. All the feedbacks were investigating statistically using SPSS 16.0. From the analysis, the descriptive results shown that all students were agreed (N=32 : Strongly Agree; N=23 : Agree) that CISCO Packet Tracer had successfully help them to understand several key concepts of computer networking and at the same quash some abstractions they faced in the course. In a nutshell, CISCO Packet Tracer as a simulation and visualization tool had been proven to be an effective software in supporting the teaching and learning of computer networking course.

The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of student learning outcomes by applying learning using simulation media based on simulation using Cisco packet tracer with learning using power point as a learning medium in class XI network infrastructure administration subjects Computer and Network Engineering 3 Vocational School 3 Pariaman. This study uses pre-experimental design. The instruments used are objective questions for evaluating cognitive data and practicum data sheets on skills data assessment. Furthermore, analyzing the normality testing, homogeneity and hypothesis testing. Cognitive assessment obtained results of the average of value the experimental class 83 and the control class obtained results 79. While the skills assessment results obtained 93.5 in the experimental class and the control class scored 79. The influence of the percentage produced 4.6% on cognitive values and 15.6% assessed skills. Hypothesis calculation obtained 2,76 results> 1,69 in the experimental class and 8,19> 1,69 in the control class where the data was declared normal. It was concluded that the use of Cisco packet tracer network simulation media had an influence on student learning out comes. So, Cisco packet tracer network media simulation is more efficient to use than media that uses power point.Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Network Media Simulation, Cisco Packet Tracer

Untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dapat dilakukan dengan menerapkan strategi atau metode pembelajaran efektif di kelas, memperdayakan siswa serta memanfaatkan sumber yang ada di lingkungan sekolah. Aktifitas siswa dalam kegiatan mengajar tersebut ditandai dengan pertisipasi siswa dalam melaksanakan tugas yang diberikan guru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah ingin mengetahui peningkatan aktifitas dan belajar siswa melalui penerapan media pembelajaran Penerapan Cisco Packet Tracer Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Jaringan Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Kelas XI TKJ di SMK Percis Halmahera. Penelitian ini dilakukan sejak tanggal 1 Februari – 15 Maret 2021 dengan obyek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI TKJ sebanyak 30 siswa. Pada pra-siklus ketuntasan klasikal 50%, setelah tindakan penelitian pada siklus I diperoleh ketuntasan klasikal 71%. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, meskipun pembelajar aplikasi Cisco Packet Tracer pada siklus I belum mencapai ketuntasan klasikal pembelajaran Cisco Packet Tracer dilanjutkan pada siklus II. Hasil pada siklus II diperoleh ketuntasan klasikal 86,66%, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa tercapainya ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini bahwa model pembelajaran yang digunakan guru sangat mempengaruhi terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa, hal ini terbukti bahwa dalam penerapan Cisco Packet Tracer Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Jaringan Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Kelas XI TKJ di SMK Percis Halmahera menjadi skor ketuntasan sebesar 85% secara klasikal.

The article is devoted to the problem of professional training of university students in the field of computer networks in the absence of specialized laboratories. The solution to this problem is the use of computer networks simulation tools. The authors presented thematic plan for studying the discipline ≪Computer networks and the Internet≫. The article considers domestic and foreign experience of using computer networks simulation tools. Based on the eight criteria identified by the authors, the analysis was carried out of the most popular software in the academic environment for computer networks modeling: Cisco Packet Tracer, GNS3, NS-3, EVE-NG, OMNeT++. As a result of the analysis and comparison, it was concluded that the Cisco Packet Tracer software product is the most preferred modeling environment in the conditions of a pedagogical university. The example of using the Cisco Packet Tracer modeling system within the training course ≪Computer networks and the Internet≫ is given, demonstrating the solution of a practice-oriented problem. The example shows the possibility of simulating switching, server, user equipment in the Cisco Packet Tracer environment; the ability to work with wireless networks. The principles of setting up server hardware and related software are considered.

Abstract:
Usually in studying the practice of computer networks, it is encountered several obstacles such as (1) limited computer networks design tools, (2) limited learning time to design computer networks and (3) technical difficulties for finding the solutions of errors. To overcome those barriers as proposed in this study, computer network simulators were used. Computer network simulators were expected to help students designing and simulating networks planned to be applied to computer network practices. This study used two simulators to compare its effectiveness in assisting the students to learn computer networks, which were Cisco Packet Tracer and Graphical Network Simulator 3 (GNS3). This study was aimed to determine the difference of the influence of network simulators to (1) learning achievement, and (2) learning achievement improvement. The quasi-experiment method was used and data were collected through conducting testing before and after the utilization of the simulators. Based on the testing results it was concluded that (1) different effect of using Cisco Packet Tracer and GNS3, the average grade achievement in the class using GNS3 and using Cisco packet tracer were 76.67 and 70 respectively, and (2) improved learning achievement using GNS3 for around 35%, higher than using Cisco Packet Tracer.

The positive value of the internet is that the information generated can facilitate everyday human work. One of the negative impacts caused by the internet is cyber crime. As the Indonesian Army who is conducting studies at the Politeknik Angkatan Darat, it is not only required to be professional and proficient in physical warfare strategies. But it also has to be sophisticated and not technologically illiterate in dealing with all threats in cyberspace, including cyber crime. One of the basic sciences for dealing with cyber crime is computer networks by implementing the concept of network topology. Network topology simulation training using packet tracer software in the context of community service activities has the aim of providing technological concepts about the use of packet tracers along with network topology simulations. This training begins with an introduction to network topology which discusses implementation in military life and its strengths and weaknesses. Furthermore, the implementation of this knowledge into a packet tracer and simulating the network topology. From the participants consisting of telkommil, it is hoped that all of them can take part in the training in order to understand how to design a good computer network using packet tracer software.

The technology has been growing from day to day in human life. The basic need of human to lead his/her life comfortably is a home. A home with updated latest technology which means a smart home. In such a scenario, there is a need to have an endeavour to have everything at the push of a button away, and more importantly, automated. Home Automation is such an endeavour, in which, all the electrical appliances present at home are connected to each other, having interactions with sensors placed at strategic positions in a closed loop manner to perform meagre tasks automatically, leaving less burden on the humans. With this project we are promoting the fact that Home Automation can greatly contribute to energy conservation too. This paper gives the basic idea use cisco packet tracer to implement smart home. Cisco implemented (IoT) functionalities in the latest version of the platform, and now it is possible to add all the smart devices, sensors, actuators, and devices, which simulate microcontrollers like Arduino or Raspberry Pi to the network. All IoT devices can be run on generic programs or modified by Java, Python or Blocky programming them. This makes Cisco Packet Tracer a perfect method to construct functional simulations for IoT.

With these applications it will be easy to provide knowledge of computer networks that can be provided through lectures, frequently asked questions and practice. The lecture method used is intended to provide a theoretical explanation of computer network material. Practice method is used to show directly how to make network cable and data communications. Maka perlu solusi yang memberikan pengetahuan tersebut.Cisco packet tracer yang merupakan aplikasi gratis yang dapat memberikan gambaran atas jaringan komputer. Dengan aplikasi tersebut maka akan mudah memberikan pengetahuan akan jaringan komputer yang dapat diberikan melalui ceramah, tanya jawab dan praktek. Metode ceramah yang digunakan dimaksudkan untuk memberikan penjelasan secara teori terhadap materi jaringan komputer.Metode praktek digunakan untuk menunjukan langsung cara membuat kabel jaringan dan komunikasi data. Jaringan komputer adalah hubungan antara 2 komputer atau lebih yang terhubung dengan media transmisi kabel atau tanpa kabel (wireless). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganilisis dan merancang jaringan komputer di SMK Negeri 1 Tabukan Utara. Model penelitian menggunakan Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) dengan enam tahapan yaitu analysis, desain, simulation prototype, implementation, monitoring dan manajement. Namun yang dilaksanakan hanya tahap pertama sampai dengan ketiga. Setelah dikembangkan melewati beberapa tahapan, maka hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dengan analisis dan perancangan desain jaringan menggunakan cisco packet tracer, SMK Negeri 1 Tabukan Utara telah memiliki 2 model perancangan untuk digunakan secara langsung pada perancangan ini disertai dengan estimasi bahan dan pengerjaan jaringan komputer tersebut.

Banyak sekali komponen yang dapat digunakan untuk perancangan seperti router. Router sendiri memiliki banyak system operasi contohnya router MikrotikOS. Jurnal ini untuk merancang dan mensimulasikan jaringan komputer. Perancangan dan simulasi jaringan komputer dapat menggunakan aplikasi Graphical Network Simulator 3(GNS3). GNS3 adalah software simulasi jaringan komputer berbasis GUI yang mirip dengan Cisco Packet Tracer. Namun pada GNS3 memungkinkan simulasi jaringan yang komplek, karena menggunakan operating system asli dari perangkat jaringan seperti cisco, mikrotik dan juniper. Sehingga kita berada kondisi lebih nyata dalam mengkonfigurasi router langsung daripada di Cisco Packet Tracer. Berbeda dengan Cisco Packet Tracer, pada GNS3 harus menginstal terlebih dahulu system operasi dari router itu sendiri yaitu router MikrotikOS maupun CiscoIOS. Di dalam penulisan ini akan dibahas mengenai bagaimana merancang dan mensimulasikan jaringan komputer menggunakan aplikasi GNS3 dengan konfigurasi yang baik dan benar sehingga dapat diterapkan dengan baik.

Internet of Things (IoT) is rapidly gaining momentum in the scenario of telecommunications. Conventional networks allow for interactivity and data exchange, but these networks have not been designed for the new features and functions of IoT devices. In this paper, an algorithm is proposed to share common recourse among Things, that is, between different types of smart appliances. . Purpose is to analyze deeper the cases separating the network and IoT layout, giving a deeper explanation of the purpose of the simulations, presenting all the information needed to utilize the exercises but also giving suggestion how to expand the exercises further. This implementation can be implemented effectively using package tracking software that includes IoT functions to control and simulate a smart home. IoT technology can be applied to many real life issues, such as: homework, treatment, campus, office, etc.

EIGRP hanya dapat digunakan pada perangkat Merk CISCO, sedangkan OSPF dapat digunakan pada semua merk jaringan. Pada penelitian ini dibandingkan delay dan rute dari kedua routing protokol yang diimplementasikan pada topologi Ring dan Mesh. Cisco Packet Tracer 5.3 digunakan untuk mensimulasikan kedua routing protokol ini. Skenario pertama adalah perancangan jaringan kemudian dilakukan pengujian waktu delay 100 kali dalam 5 kasus. Skenario kedua dilakukan pengujian trace route untuk mengetahui jalur yang dilewati paket data lalu memutus link utama. Pada skenario kedua juga dilakukan perbandingan nilai metric dan cost hasil simulasi dengan perhitungan rumus. Skenario ketiga dilakukan pengujian waktu konvergensi untuk setiap routing protokol pada setiap topologi. Hasilnya EIGRP lebih cepat 386 µs daripada OSPF untuk topologi Ring sedangkan OSPF lebih cepat 453 µs daripada EIGRP untuk topologi Mesh. Hasil trace route menunjukan rute yang dipilih oleh routing protokol yaitu nilai metric dan cost yang terkecil. Waktu konvergensi rata-rata topologi Ring pada EIGRP sebesar 12,75 detik dan 34,5 detik pada OSPF sedangkan topologi Mesh di EIGRP sebesar 13 detik dan 35,25 detik di OSPF.Kata Kunci: EIGRP, OSPF, Packet Tracer 5.3, Ring, Mesh, KonvergensiABSTRACTEIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol) and OSPF (Open Shortest Path Fisrt) is the routing protocol that is widely used in a computer network. In this study comparison of both the delay and the routing protocol implemented on Ring and Mesh topology. Cisco Packet Tracer 5.3 is used to simulate both the routing protocol. The first scenario is the design of the network and then do the test of time delay 100 times in 5 cases. The second scenario tested trace route to determine the path of the data packet and then disconnect the main link. In the second scenario also conducted a cost comparison of metrics and the simulation results with the calculation formula. The third scenario testing time for each routing protocol convergence on any topology. The result EIGRP faster than 386 microseconds for a ring topology while OSPF OSPF 453 microseconds faster than EIGRP for Mesh topology. The results showed trace route chosen by the routing protocol metric value and cost is the smallest. Average convergence time in the EIGRP topology Ring of 12.75 seconds and 34.5 seconds, while the Mesh topology in an OSPF EIGRP for 13 seconds and 35.25 seconds in OSPF.Keywords: EIGRP,OSPF, Packet Tracer 5.3, Ring, Mesh, Convergence

Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil belajar ujian semester yang masih banyak dibawah criteria KKM yang ditetapkan yaitu 7.00 penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap apakah hasil belajar dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran Cisco Packet Tracer lebih baik dari yang tidak menggunakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMK Mitra Mandiri Panyabungan yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2016/2017 dan teknik dalam penentuan sampling adalah Posttest Only Control Design. Yang menjadi sampel adalah kelas X TKJ1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X TKJ2 sebagai kelas control. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes hasil belajar berupa soal objektif sebanyak 30 butir soal. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata (t-tes).Dari hasil penelitian terlihat bahwa kelas yang menggunakan media pembelajaran Cisco Packet Tracer memiliki rata-rata (75.016) lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan siswa yang tidak menggunakan (66.45). Sedangkan dari perhitungan t-tes diperoleh t hitung 1.05 dengan demikian hipotesis yang dikemukakan sebelumnya dapat diterima pada taraf kepercayaan 95%. Hal ini disebabkan karena pada media pembelajaran Cicso Packet Tracer siswa dibimbing untuk dapat menggunakan kemampuan potensinya.

The need of the hour is to devise a smart home that will be able to control the operation of electronic devices via a smartphone. This concept, while absurd to imagine, can be easily implemented efficiently using a package tracking software which includes IoT functions for control and simulation of a smart home network. IoT technology has had a huge boom in the tech industry in the recent past. IoT, better known as Internet of Things, can be applied to several real time scenarios, such as home automation, treatment, campus, office, etc. In this paper, we will be focusing on a safe home automation system that will be including modules such as: smoke detection, humiture monitoring, motion detection, temperature monitoring and solar panel controlling using smart battery. The aim of our research is to devise a simulation network of smart devices which will be in control of the end-user remotely and implement the concept of smart home automation. This project will make use of the Cisco Packet Tracer to monitor the IoT devices in the smart home network. Simulation results have shown that these smart devices can be connected in a network to the home portal and objects can be successfully monitored which proves that such a model can be used for real life implementation in the user’s home.

This research was conducted from28 April – 1 Mei 2018 with the object of research that is students class X TKJ as many 24 student. To obtain data in research using the method of observation, test and documentation. Data analysis in this research use qualitative descriptive analysis. The results obtained in the study showed improvement in student learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle of of classical completeness 54%, after the action of research daily repetition in cycle I obtained 66% classical completeness. This indicates an increase in student learning outcomes, althought the Cisco Packet Tracer application learning in cycle I has not yet achieved the caliber of learning. The Cisco Packet Tracer application is continued in cycle II. The result of daily test analysis on cycle II was 87% classical completeness, it shows that the result achievement of learning completeness in classical. The conclusion in this rearch that the learning model used by the teacher is very influence to the activity and result of student learning, it is proven that in applying of learning Cisco Packet Tracer application can improve result of activity and result of student learning of X TKJ class on basic network subjek to scores of 85% classically

Computer networks of data transmission are the result of the information revolution and in the future will be able to form the main means of communication. The worldwide trend towards the integration of computers in the network is due to a number of important reasons, such as the acceleration of the transmission of information messages, the ability to quickly exchange information between users, receiving and transmitting messages (faxes, E-mail letters, electronic conferences, etc.) without leaving the workplace, the ability to instantly receive any information from anywhere in the world, as well as the exchange of information between computers of different manufacturers working under different software. A large number of broadcast packets sent by devices leads to a decrease in network performance, because instead of useful operations, the switches are busy processing data addressed to everyone at once. The situation forces us to divide such large networks into autonomous subnets; as a result, the logical structures of the network are different from the physical topologies. This article discusses VLAN technology (Virtual Local Area Network - VLAN), which allows you to divide one local network into separate segments.

Crimping kabel dan perancangan jaringan merupakan mata pelajaran paling dasar yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa SMK. Akan tetapi masih banyaknya kendala dalam mata pelajaran tersebut karena masih menggunakan metode konvensional yang menggunakan ceramah, diskusi dan kerja kelompok sehingga membuat siswa menjadi kurang termotivasi dalam belajar. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa jauh pemahaman siswa akan mata pelajaran dasar crimping kabel dan perancangan jaringan. Pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan pengertian, pemahaman, cara penyusunan dan cara penggunaan perangkat lunak (software) simulasi jaringan komputer (Packet Tracer), selain itu melatih cara melakukan crimping kabel, pengujian jaringan komputer berbasis LAN (Local Area Network). Metode pengabdian masyarakat untuk simulasi jaringan digunakan adalah metode ekperimen dan rancangan serta dilakukan dalam one group, pre tes dan post tes design. Hasil dari pretes dan pos tes Pengabdian dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan dihitung dengan skala likert. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan 2 sesi, hasil perhitungan yang didapatkan dari 25 orang peserta, yaitu sesi pertama 82.13% dan sesi ke dua 82.13% dari siswa merasa puas dengan pelatihan

The internet is one part that can not be released in human life today. Every year internet users both in Indonesia and in the world have increased. This increase in internet users causes the availability of IP to decrease. That is because users who will use the internet must have an IP. The availability of IPv4 is currently decreasing. To overcome these problems, IPv6 was made which was announced to replace the existence of IPv4. But another solution that can be taken is using subnetting. With subnetting, IP can be used optimally according to the needs of the host or can make efficient use of IP. And subnetting also functions to avoid congestion resulting from too many hosts on the physical network. And to connect between subnets, routing will be done.

The key aim of education is to share data and knowledge, making the network important for education. In particular, it is essential to ensure the exchange of information; thus, no one can corrupt it. To safe and trustworthy transfers between users, integrity and reliability are crucial questions in all data transfer problems. Therefore, we have developed a secure campus network (SCN) for sending and receiving information among high-security end-users. We created a topology for a campus of multi networks and virtual local area networks (VLANs’) using cisco packet tracer. We also introduced the most critical security configurations, the networking used in our architecture. We used a large number of protocols to protect and accommodate the users of the SCN scheme.</span>

Quasiexperiments is a method used in this study by using Time Series Design as a collaboration in classroom action research. The results of this study get the Asymp value. Sig. for the ANOVA test of 0,000. The ANOVA value of 0.000 indicates that the PreTest and PostTest scores have a difference where the PostTest results have been proven to be better, so it can be concluded that learning activities using the Cisco Packet Tracer Network Simulator [1] can improve student understanding

ABSTRAKOSPF (Open Shortest Path First) dan EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol) adalah dua routing protokol yang banyak digunakan dalam jaringan komputer. Perbedaan karakteristik antar routing protokol menimbulkan masalah dalam pengiriman paket data. Teknik redistribution adalah solusi untuk melakukan komunikasi antar routing protokol. Dengan menggunakan software Cisco Packet Tracer 5.3 pada penelitian ini dibuat simulasi OSPF dan EIGRP yang dihubungkan oleh teknik redistribution, kemudian dibandingkan kualitasnya dengan single routing protokol EIGRP dan OSPF. Parameter pengujian dalam penelitian ini adalah nilai time delay dan trace route. Nilai trace route berdasarkan perhitungan langsung cost dan metric dibandingkan dengan hasil simulasi. Hasilnya dapat dilakukan proses redistribution OSPF dan EIGRP. Nilai delay redistribution lebih baik 1% dibanding OSPF dan 2-3% di bawah EIGRP tergantung kepadatan traffic. Dalam perhitungan trace route redistribution dilakukan 2 perhitungan, yaitu cost untuk area OSPF dan metric pada area EIGRP. Pengambilan jalur utama dan alternatif pengiriman paket berdasarkan nilai cost dan metric yang terkecil, hal ini terbukti berdasarkan perhitungan dan simulasi.Kata kunci: OSPF, EIGRP, Redistribution, Delay, Cost, Metric.ABSTRACTOSPF (Open Shortest Path First) and EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol) are two routing protocols are widely used in computer networks. Differences between the characteristics of routing protocols pose a problem in the delivery of data packets. Redistribution technique is the solution for communication between routing protocols. By using the software Cisco Packet Tracer 5.3 in this study were made simulating OSPF and EIGRP redistribution linked by technique, then compared its quality with a single EIGRP and OSPF routing protocols. Testing parameters in this study is the value of the time delay and trace route. Value trace route based on direct calculation of cost and metric compared with the simulation results. The result can be OSPF and EIGRP redistribution process. Value delay redistribution 1% better than OSPF and EIGRP 2-3% under traffic density dependent. In calculating the trace route redistribution is done 2 calculations, the cost for OSPF area and the area of the EIGRP metric. Making primary and alternate paths based on the packet delivery rate and the cost of the smallest metric, it is proved by calculation and simulation.Keywords: OSPF, EIGRP, Redistribution, Delay, Cost, Metric.

EIGRP is an enhanced version of IGRP, and is a private routing protocol of Cisco Systems, Inc. We analyze the packet format of EIGRP and the advantages including PDM, RTP, DUAL, rapid convergence times, low usage of network resources, and route summarization. In Packet Tracer simulation software, the simulation experiments configure EIGRP in a simple network topology. The simulation results show the different structure of EIGRP packet, and EIGRP supports well route summarization and provides extremely quick convergence times with minimal network traffic for low usage of network resources.

It includes assessment task with automatic scoring and reporting. This paper presents the features of the simulation tool and analyzes the student’s performance over this simulation soft-ware with the given questionnaires. This study provides evidence in support of the instructional effectiveness of the use of Simulation software tool for the teachers and the learners who are interested in networking concepts.

Penelitian ini menggunakan sampling jenuh. Menetapkan jumlah responden 26 siswa Kelas X TKJ1 SMK Negeri 1Kendit sebagai responden penelitian yang diambil secara sampling jenuhdengan cara diambil seluruh populasi. metode pengumpulan data yangdigunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi, metode angket,metode interview dan metode dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisisdengan menggunakan analisa regresi. Dari hasil penelitian terlihat bahwa adapengaruh Penggunaan Aplikasi Cisco Paket Tracer terhadap minat sebesar(-0,452) dan hasil belajar sebesar (-0,463) siswa Kelas X TKJ1 pada matapelajaran komputer jaringan dasar di SMK Negeri 1 Kendit Situbondodengan pengaruh sedang.
