Power amplifiers (PA) are essential to equipment such as high-end smartphones, wireless sensing radar or satellite communication systems, etc. The energy of radio signals continuously attenuate when propagating through the atmosphere. If there is no PA in a wireless communication radio frequency (RF) frontend circuit, the purpose of wireless communication cannot be achieved. In this

Portable personal communication systems such as cellar phones, cordless phones, PDA, and pagers have become a part of our daily lives. Low cost, low power, minimizing external components and high level integration are the objects. The analog front-end which has to operate at radio frequencies are traditionally built form more expensive technologies like GaAs or silicon Bipolar which are optimized to provide signal ampli cation at radio fre

Power amplifier is one of the bottlenecks. Traditionally, Ⅲ-Ⅴ high electron mobility transistor, ex. GaAs has the high output power and high power added efficiency. It has certain restrictions and difficulties about using complementary metal-oxide semiconductor to design the power amplifiers. For the reason of system integration and small area to cost down, the fabrication of power amplifiers using co

The operation of frequency is low frequency. All the circuits are designed based on the TSMC 035 CMOS process technology. The supply voltage is 1.5V and the input signal is 4KHz. Simulation results show that the Class D power efficiency is high efficiency amplifier. When 0.3V of 2KHz input signal is applied, The maximum THD is 0.63% and static current is 4uA and the efficiency is 83.6%.

The first power amplifier is targeted for high output power. The power amplifier using power-combining transformer is presented. The second power amplifier is targeted for high-efficiency which power amplifier is based on the inverse class F technique. The measured results are summarized as below: the PA with power-combining transformer technique achieves a power gain of 12.2 dB with input and output return losses of 12.0 dB a
