Abstract:
Abstract : Robo-advisor is one of the most prominent innovation in the wealth management industry, and its success in Indonesia has been evident in the case of Bibit. Therefore, wealth management companies need to employ Robo-Advisor to overcome their competition. This research aims to give recommendation on asset allocation method and asset class selection for Robo-Advisors in Indonesia using Sharpe Ratio Analysis. Then, the author will analyze the robo-advisor’s performance during equity market downturn. Finally, The Robo-Advisor’s actual performance will be tested in 2018, 2019, and 2020. The Sharpe ratio analysis result showed that Robo-Advisors seeking higher risk-adjusted return should choose mean-variance optimization over risk parity for asset allocation method, and the inclusion of gold and bitcoin in a portfolio of stock mutual fund and bond mutual fund increases the risk-adjusted return of the portfolio. The proposed robo-advisor’s portfolio protected investors from equity market downturn in 2011-2010 in 83,3% of the case. Finally, the proposed robo-advisor’s portfolio generated better return for the conservative, moderate and aggressive investor during 2018, 2019, and 2020 when compared to LQ45.

Abstract:
The academic advising program in a college of engineering was studied to describe the role of the advisor in terms of Predominant patterns of use for assistance with preregistration, class add/drop, curriculum planning, career guidance, college and department rules and procedures, and personal counseling. Faculty and professional advisors were compared, and student gender, grade point average (GPA), and age were studied. Students used their advisors predominantly for assislance with preregistration, curriculum planning, and adding or dropping classes. Students assigned to faculty advisors reported greater use of and satisfaction with their advisors than students assigned professional advisors. No discernable pattern of use of and satisfaction with the assigned advisor was found with regard to gender. The expectation was not generally supported that females would use and be more satisfied with their advisors than would males. Students with higher GPAs reported greater use of and satisfaction with their advisors for curriculum and registration assistance than students with lower GPAs. Furthermore, for several advising needs, students with higher GPAs who had assigned faculty advisors used or were more satisfied with their assigned advisors than similar students assigned professional advisors. Younger students used their advisors more frequently than older students for career guidance and personal counseling. This was especially true for younger students assigned to faculty advisors.

Abstract:
The paper illustrates how fuzzy techniques can be applied to address problems experienced in widespread computing systems for distance learning. Many educational organizations use Web Course Management Systems (WCMS) to run distance courses. In such environments, facilitators often face difficulties in monitoring and understanding problems experienced by distance learners. An approach is proposed here where artificial advisors are built to offer distance-learning facilitators informed advice of what the problems/needs of individuals and groups may be, as well as to suggest appropriate actions when possible. We have developed the TADV (Teacher ADVisor) framework, which builds student, group, and class models based on the tracking information generated by WCMS, and uses these models to generate advice to the course instructors. This paper introduces TADV and describes the fuzzy approach used for extracting individual, group and class models. TADV is currently exemplified in a Discrete Mathematics course run at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport, Alexandria, Egypt.

Abstract:
In his article, I examine the image of a political strategist, popular in Chinese historical cinema, the origin of which can be traced to historical chronicles and fiction. Analysis of their cinematographic representation allows to single out the characteristic features of this image, distinguishing it from the functionally close, yet not identical image of a noble minister. Further, I suggest that the literary and cinematic image of Zhuge Liang, the famous politician and strategist of the Three Kingdoms, serves as an archetype of a political and military advisor in general, and substantiate this hypothesis. Based on the analysis of sovereign-advisor relations, I make an assumption that the very image of an advisor, with their characteristic appearance, personality, and their relationship with their overlord, takes its origins in the self-presentation of shi— a social class of the Warring States period. The leading values in this class were intelligence, loyalty to the lord, and freedom. I suggest and support a hypothesis that there is a genetic connection between the image of an advisor and the teaching of Legalism. Counterbalancing and complement to this image in a costume series is the role of a noble minister, which has its ideological basis in the Confucian philosophy. Apart from that, I name some of the strategies of seizing and retaining power, as well as domestic and foreign policy strategies, frequently seen in TV shows. The analysis of political and administrative methods in many Chinese historical series indicates that foreign policy, as presented in these shows, allows for more manipulations, but also more variability. The internal political opposition, by contrast, is almost completely delegitimized, its goals are a priori recognized as immoral and self-serving, and, consequently, the only way left for the sovereign and their advisor is to directly suppress their internal opponents. The results of this study lead to a number of conclusions about the political culture of China as manifested in this type of TV products, and about the strategemic thinking underlying this culture.

Abstract:
Abstract: The global economy saw a sharp decrease as a result of the COVID-19 coronavirus's proliferation. Numerous businesses, particularly those that deliver in-person services, had to temporarily close due to the exceptional measures taken to contain the outbreak, such as lockdowns. The feeling and impression of one's own professional achievement in proportion to one's personal self-set criteria is known as career satisfaction. A career in the Indian Insurance sector can not only be quite challenging but also rewarding. The Covid-19 heavily affected the regular income of both salaried and non-salaried class people. In this circumstance, the insurance agents faced certain difficulties such as, collecting premium from policy holders, getting new policy and settling the policy claim on time. Overall, the aforementioned challenges undoubtedly had an impact on the insurance advisor's ability to accomplish his or her career goals, including those for income, progress, and the acquisition of new skills. In context with the above topic, this short-term research paper attempts to reveal the career satisfaction between Male and Female Insurance agents of LIC during this pandemic period. There's no significant difference among male and female insurance advisors with regard to of their professional accomplishments, professional goals, and advancement in their careers, according to the findings. Nevertheless, female insurance advisers are happier than male insurance advisors with the strides they have made in achieving their financial and skill-development objectives.

Abstract:
This paper explores the perceptions of first year Business students to embedding sessions and additional support workshops offered through a collaboration between learning advisors and lecturers in a first year foundational unit. Through a social constructivist lens and utilising action research methods, questionnaires (n=42) were administered to two cohorts of students at the conclusion of the unit in 2011 and 2012 to explore firstly, whether or not they perceived the embedding sessions to be of benefit and, secondly, whether having the learning advisor in the class made them more likely to utilise additional support outside class time. In addition, the researchers sought to explore whether there were any improvements in students’ final results which might be attributable to the academic support offered to them through the embedding sessions. The findings from the quantitative and qualitative data suggest that the students perceived the embedding workshops as having positive effects on their academic literacy skills. Furthermore, there was a slight increase in the number of students that sought additional support outside of class time. However, it appears that the embedding workshops did not lead to an improvement in students’ final marks for the unit and this is an area which requires further investigation.

Kassier, Susanna Maria. "Investigation of weight management-related focus areas in middle-class overweight/obese Black (Zulu) women to advise healthy weight loss intervention development." Doctoral thesis, University of Cape Town, 2015. http://hdl.handle.net/11427/15520.

Full text
Abstract:
The South African Demographic and Health Survey (1998 and 2003) revealed that urban black women had the highest prevalence of overweight/obesity and central obesity across all population and gender groups. This trend was confirmed by the South African National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (SANHANES-1) who reported a substantial increase in the prevalence of obesity among black South African women. Hence, the high prevalence of overweight/obesity and central obesity among urban black South African women needs to be addressed through targeted weight loss/management interventions, as obesity and central obesity are risk factors for the development of a number of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). However, from the international literature, it is evident that overweight/obese black women are less likely to embark on a weight loss intervention, while those who seek treatment, are unlikely to complete the intervention, as weight loss interventions targeting as well as including black women have reported attrition rates ranging from 0to 79%. In addition, at this point in time, no common attrition tendencies have been documented for large clinic-based weight loss interventions targeting African-American women in the United States of America. As there is a serious paucity of published information on weight loss interventions targeting overweight/obesity in urban black South African women, the aim of this research was to investigate weight management-related focus areas in overweight/obese black (Zulu) women residing in an urban area in South Africa. This information is essential to advise the development of healthy weight loss interventions and appropriate messaging to promote weight loss and maintenance in black South African women. In order to achieve the this aim, the following research questions were formulated: (i) What is the weight management related profile of overweight/obese treatment-seeking black women; (ii) What is the outcome of a culturally sensitive healthy weight loss intervention in terms of weight loss, compliance (attendance of intervention sessions, lifestyle changes) and attrition: and (iii) Which factors may explain the outcomes of the culturally sensitive healthy weight loss intervention? To guide the investigation of these research questions the researcher first set out to identify weight management-related focus areas for overweight/obese black women from the literature. Ten succinct focus areas emerged and include the following: 1) treatment seeking behaviour; 2) weight loss success; 3) compliance to and attrition from weight loss programmes; 4) cultural influences on body shape and size perception and satisfaction; 5) cultural influences on food choices and eating patterns6) cultural influences on physical activity; 7) environmental factors and social support; 8)appropriateness of the weight loss programme for the target population; 9) dietary restraint, disinhibition, perceived hunger and bingeing and 10) psychological well-being (depression).

Villa-Vicencio, Heidi. "Colour, citizenship and constitutionalism : an oral history of political identity among middle-class coloured people with special reference to the formation of the Coloured Advisory Council in 1943 and the removal of the male franchise in 1956." Master's thesis, University of Cape Town, 1995. http://hdl.handle.net/11427/22562.

Abstract:
Bibliography: pages 173-186.
This thesis explores the political identity of middle-class coloured people in metropolitan Cape Town focusing particularly on the period extending from the formation of the Coloured Advisory Council in 1943 to the removal of the qualified coloured male franchise in 1956. The findings of the thesis are based largely on thirty-one random interviews with coloured men and women over the age of sixty-three. All of the males had the vote and either the fathers or husbands of all the women had enjoyed the vote. The 'open attitude' style of interviewing was employed, enabling the interviewees to help frame the discussions. Politics for most of my respondents was not an integral influence within their childhood. Most men, however, recalled their fathers voting and have clear memories of election days, political movements of the time and meetings that took place. All, except one, became teachers. Their post-secondary education, often at the University of Cape Town, encouraged most to grapple with the political and social processes of the day. By the 1940s the majority of the males began to challenge the prevailing political structures and beliefs of mainstream coloured society. The childhood memories of political events of most women were comparatively less pronounced. Some recalled their fathers voting, although memories of their mothers involvement in church and welfare activities are clearer. They also recalled political events that affected them directly. Most of the women interviewed either became teachers or they married teachers. This exposed them to what they saw as male-dominated coloured politics and they experienced a sense of political alienation from these political processes. This does not necessarily imply that they were apolitical. On the contrary, looking back, they see themselves as having given expression to political concerns in alternative ways. They also showed greater interest in 'white politics' as expressed through the United Party accepting that it was 'white politics' that ultimately had the power to determine their social and economic well-being. Most women showed limited concern about the removal of qualified males from the common voters' roll. They saw this as having a minimal impact on their social well-being. It was largely the Group Areas Act that socially and economically affected their lives, giving rise to a heightened level of political awareness and involvement. The ambiguities and divisions which marked middle-class coloured political groupings could be attributed partly to the historical policies of social-engineering practised by successive governments, whose intention was to construct a coloured political identity separate from whites, while being grounded in civil privileges not extended to Africans. Most of my interviewees acknowledged that by the 1940s they had accepted these privileges. They were naturally reluctant to see these undermined politically. From 1948 onwards middle-class coloured privileges began to be eroded. This signalled the emergence of a new era of coloured identity.

Abstract:
碩士
國立彰化師範大學
藝術教育研究所
98
As the education environment changes, class-advisors in Junior High Schools were no longer limited to main subjects teachers; art teachers taking the roles of class-advisor is also common. Some enjoys it, and some complaints about it. Therefore this article is trying to discuss the opinions of art teachers taking the roles of class-advisor in Junior High Schools. And during their class-advisor experience, what relation would occur between their class-advisor roles and art teaching? Furthermore, what effects would it bring to the interactions with students and their behaviors? The author tried to discuss through these issues to understand what today’s art teachers thought on the changes of current education environment? As the frontline art teaching personnel, how would they face the challenges with positive responses? In order to find the answers, the author used qualitative research method, interviewed in depth and observed 3 individual art teachers who teach in 2 different Junior High Schools. From the collected data, all 3 teachers agreed on the value and importance of the class-advisors in Junior High Schools, but they have different views on themselves assuming the role of class-advisor. There were positive takes on this issue, but there were also negative rejections; however the commonality was that they all feel the parents have doubts in them taking the role of class-advisors. When we analyzed individual teacher’s ability in teaching, leading the class or career consultation, they all showed positive attitudes to their performance. However, when we discussed the effects of art teaching on class-advisors then it covered both positive and negative views. The positives include “teachers help students building proper value through art education”, “teachers make arts education more lively and increase students’ interest of learning”. The negatives include “art teachers assume the role of class-advisor will often sacrifice arts class time to handling class service or conducting exams, which would interfere the class progress”, and “teachers’ mood is easily affected by the performance of the students”. Besides, the subject teachers also illustrated their value with guiding their students, letting them understand the importance of making precise requests, properly handling student behaviors problem, and making the teachers-students interactions more closely. Lastly, the author hope that this research could provide feasible suggestions and directions for related studies in the future. When under the multiple identity of art teachers taking the role of class-advisors, they must clarify their different roles and cleverly interchange between the roles. They also need to adjust their attitudes, communicate with parents regularly, and learn from their predecessors. In future studies, the author could discuss how different people, such as students’ parents, students and teachers from other disciplines, see art teacher faking the role as class-advisor at various campus environment. The author could also study the effects of administrative class adjustment on arts teacher taking the role of class-advisor. Further research could also tell us the real effect in the classrooms of art teachers taking the role of class-advisors.

Abstract:
碩士
輔仁大學
教育領導與發展研究所
97
This study intended to utilize questionnaire survey to explore the characteristics and selection criteria of class advisors. Based on stratified ratio sampling, there were 786 research subjects selected from 38 public junior high schools in Taoyuan County. Seven hundred and thirty-seven copies of the questionnaire were valid with the return rate of 93.77%. Descriptive statistics and Chi-Square test were used to analyze data. The results of the study indicated that among the characteristics of class advisors, possession of educational enthusiasm was emphasized by the most of the respondents. With regard to the selection criteria of class advisors, a complete set of selection system was the priority concern, followed by setting principles and statutes for selecting class advisors, and the censorship of class advisors’ qualifications. In the dimension of a complete set of selection system, the respondents highlighted the need for reducing teaching hours. In the dimension of principles for selecting class advisors, the participants demanded specific rules regarding turn-taking, term-postponing and term-sparing. As for the dimension of statutes, setting up the standard procedures for selecting class advisors was gotten the highest attentions. In terms of the censorship of class advisors’ qualifications, the teaching subjects of teachers would have not been taken into consideration. Only few respondents’ background variables were significantly related to the selection of the characteristics for class advisors. However, there was a significant difference between the variables of the respondents’ background and those of the selection criteria of class advisors. According to the findings, it is reasonable to suggest that the Bureau of Education should provide schools with statutes and related supporting regulations regarding the selection criteria of class advisors as well as consider the possibility of incorporating a test of personal characteristics into the teacher selection process. It is also suggested that, when making the selection criteria of class advisors, schools should explicitly list out articles about the standard procedures, the principles for turn-taking, term-postponing and term-sparing as well as the related supporting regulations. For teachers, it is suggested that they should pursue their own growth in order to meet the criteria of qualified class advisors and enhance their ability in communicating with parents.

Abstract:
碩士
銘傳大學
公共事務學系碩士在職專班
94
The role of class advisor has always been considered as the front line staff on student guidance and counseling. While each university tried to set the detailed rules to regulate the obligations and duties of class advisors on assisting students, some kind of rewards and positive encouragements should be given to those outstanding, enthusiastic, sincere and hard-working class advisors. This research was designed to investigate the attitude and opinions of those class advisors, students, and evaluation committee members toward the system for selecting the outstanding class advisors of the year. After reviewing the literatures and the current systems of universities in the northern part of Taiwan, a questionnaire survey was conducted at Ming Chuan University. Through a professional efficiency analysis of all the items in the questionnaire and the pilot study, 261 questionnaires were sent to class advisors; 464 questionnaires were sent to students, while 41 copies were sent to those committee members. The return rate of valid questionnaires is about 74 %. Through factor analysis of the valid questionnaires, seven major criteria were identified for selecting the outstanding class advisors: problem solving, strengthen of guidance competence, being a role model, experience impartation, prevention of possible problems, participation and guidance, and communication and coordination. There are 45 important items covered within these criteria. The total cumulative variance is 65.044%. The value of Cronbach ?of all factors were larger than 0.7 which indicates that there is a high reliability and validity of these items. After the valid questionnaires were tested through one-way ANOVA, t-test, and Scheffe''s Method, the results showed that there is a statistically significant different among class advisors, students, and committee members in their opinions toward the criteria for selecting the outstanding class advisors; there is no statistically significant difference among class advisors and those committee members who come from different background in their opinion toward the criteria; there is a statistically significant difference between students of different genders and among students from different colleges in their attitude toward the selecting criteria; and there is no statistically significant difference among students from different year levels in their attitude toward the criteria for selecting the outstanding class advisors. This research concluded several practical and academic suggestions which may be helpful and used as a reference for other universities to set their system for selecting the outstanding class advisors. The findings can also be a reference for fellow interested researchers. The practical suggestions include: all universities should design their own system for selecting the outstanding class advisors to promote the effectiveness of guidance and counseling; the system should be amended whenever there is a need; the results of this research can be used as a reference when setting the criteria and items for selection; and lower down the bars set for selecting those outstanding class advisors and bring up the quality of rewards as encouragement. The academic suggestions suggest the fellow researchers to enlarge the research sample to include more universities for validity; to put more emphasis on the qualifications of the evaluating and selecting committee members for credibility; to analyze the important items in outstanding class advisor selection possessing unacceptably low factor loading, to study the reasons behind statistically significant difference in student opinion according to gender and college of enrollment, and to set up a more detailed evaluation indicator for the reliability of selecting the true outstanding class advisors.

Abstract:
碩士
萬能科技大學
經營管理研究所
93
With the knowledge-based economy on the rise, the competitive advantages of corporations rely more and more on knowledge. Likewise, the knowledge management becomes an indispensible part of the business management. And knowledge sharing and exchange is the most crucial for carring out knowledge management. People’s willingness of sharing knowledge is a kind of organizational behaviors which definitely have a lot to do with organizational culture. Also, is this willingness influenced by the mutual trust and the personalities of the members inside the organization? People always complain that they are too busy to share knowledge with each others. Is it the knowledge too hard to express or is it no room available for them to talk? This study aims to examine the determinants on the willingness of knowledge sharing from two aspects--- the personal the organizational. Knowledge properties were taken as the moderator on the relation between the willingness and behavior of knowledge sharing. The result of this study is based on a survey conducted with teachers who now are class-advisors in senior high schools in Tauyuan county, with 363 valid samples. The data obtained by questionnaire was analyzed by frequencies and regression. The main finding were: 1) The longer they teach, the more willingly they want to share knowledge. 2) No matter what kind of organizational culture it is, it has dominant positive influence on the willingness of knowledge sharing. 3) The more trust or the more empathy they have, the more willingly they want to share knowledge. 4) The more willingly they want to share knowledge, the more sharing behaviors they have. 5) The teachable tacit knowledge and complicated knowledge has dominant positive influence on the relation between the willingness and the behavior of knowledge sharing. The suggestions are made based on the findings for possible further study, and for school administrations and corporations to carry out knowledge management.

Abstract:
碩士
銘傳大學
教育研究所碩士在職專班
93
The purposes of this study were to investigate the status quo of the emotional intelligence, job stress and coping strategies of public junior high school class-advisors in Taipei, to explore the differences of different class-advisors’ emotional intelligence, job stress, and coping strategies due to different backgrounds, and to examine the correlation among their emotional intelligence, job stress, and coping strategies, hoping to provide references for the educational administration authorities, teacher development and training centers, and class-advisors of public junior high schools. 512 class-advisors were randomly sampled from public junior high schools in Taipei city. The study did use not only questionnaire on the data analysis of quantitative research, but also the qualitative interviews for an added information to reinforce the research methods. The data of 512 valid and usable samples were analyzed by statistic methods of mean, standard deviation, t-test, Pearson product-moment correlation test , and stepwise regression. The major findings were as follows: 1. The class-advisors of the junior high schools in Taipei showed medium-to-high emotional intelligence. They got the highest score in “emotional perception” ability, but weakest in “emotional adaptation” ability. 2. The job stress for class-advisors of the junior high schools is medium-to-high. Among those five aspects of job stress, the sequential order from high to low is “administrative supporting”, “ working load”, “class management”, “teacher professional”, and “personal relations”. 3. The junior high school class-advisors’ overall coping strategies for job stress are medium to high level. Among those four aspects of coping strategies, the sequential order from high to low in terms of the frequency of use is “seeking for supporting” , “reasoning solving” , ”self-adaptation” , and “procrastinating avoidance”. 4. There were significant differences in class-advisor’ emotional intelligence and job stress on different genders. 5. There were significant positive correlations between the class-advisors’ emotional intelligence and coping strategies. The class-advisors’ who have higher emotional intelligence use more coping strategies to deal with their job stress. 6. There were significant positive correlations between the class-advisors’ emotional intelligence and job stress. The class-advisors who have higher emotional intelligence felt less job stress. 7. There were significant negative correlations between the class-advisors’ overall coping strategies and job stress. The class-advisors who used more frequency of coping strategies felt less job stress. 8. In different groups of emotional intelligence, statistically significant differences were found in the class-advisors’ overall coping strategies. High emotional intelligence group used coping strategies more frequently than other groups. But in different groups of coping strategies, no significant differences were found in the class-advisors’ overall job stress. 9. The ability of “emotional adaptation” was the most important to the predictability of class-advisors’ job stress, “emotional expression” and “emotional reasoning ” ability could efficiently predict class-advisors’ coping strategies, “procrastinating avoidance ”, “self-adaptation”, and “reasoning solving” could efficiently predict class-advisors’ job stress. In conclusion, the study finding were presented for the future reference of education authorities, teacher development and training centers, class-advisors of the junior high school, and future researchers.

Abstract:
碩士
國立彰化師範大學
教育研究所
92
A Study of Junior High School Class-advisors’ Job Stress And Adjustment Strategies in the Nine-Year Integrated Curriculum Implementation Graduate Student: Shoou-Chih Tzeng Advisor: Dr. Chung-Wen Chen Abstract The purposes of this study were to investigate the status quo of the job stress and adjustment strategies of public junior high school class-advisors in Taiwan in the nine year integrated curriculum implementation, to explore the differences of different class-advisors’ job stress and adjustment strategies due to different backgrounds, and to examine the correlation between their job stress and adjustment strategies, hoping to provided reference for the educational administration authorities and class-advisors of public junior high schools. The subject were 755 class-advisors selected from public junior high schools in Taipei county, Tao-yuan county, and Hsin-chu county. The instruments are the Junior High School Class-Advisors’ Work Situation Scale in the Nine-Year Integrated Curriculum Implementation, designed by the researcher. The statistics procedures used include mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation test. The major findings were as follows: 1. The job stress for class-advisors of the junior high schools is medium. 2. Among those five dimensions of job stress, the sequential order from high to low is parent-teacher communication and peer relationship, curriculum content and curriculum implementation, teaching work and working load, administrative cooperation and personal relations, and curriculum design and technological use. 3. The junior high school class-advisors’ overall adjustment strategies for job stress are at the high intermediate level. 4. Among those four aspects of adjustment strategies, the sequential order from high to low in terms of the frequency of use is “reasoning thinking and problem —solving,” “facing the problem and self-adaptation,” ”seeking for assistance and others’ support,” and “procrastinating avoidance and negative adjustment.” 5. Among the different background variables, differences in 6 independent variables are statistically significant in the class-advisors’ job stress: namely, gender, marital relation, age, seniority, teaching subjects, and school size. Moreover, differences in 5 independent variables are also statistically significant in job stress adjustment, namely, gender, age, seniority, school size, and the regions in which the schools where these advisors work are located. 6. In different perceptions, statistically significant differences were found in the class-advisors’ overall job stress adjustment. Low-stress group uses facing the problem and self-adaptation strategy more frequently than the high-stress group. 7. There were significant correlations between the class-advisors’ self-awareness of job stress and their adjustment strategies. Among them, the stress dimension of administrative cooperation and personal relationship and the dimension of procrastinating avoidance and negative adjustment strategy are in positive correlation. The stress dimension of curriculum content and curriculum implementation and the dimension of reasoning thinking and problem-solving strategy are in positive correlation. There is also a positive correlation between the stress dimension of curriculum design and technological use and the procrastinating avoidance and negative adjustment strategy dimension, but there is a negative correlation between the stress dimension of curriculum design and technological use and the strategy dimension of reasoning thinking and problem-solving seeking assistance and others’ support, and facing the problem and self-adaptation. There is a positive significant correlation between the stress dimension of parent-teacher communication and peer relation and the strategy dimension of procrastinating avoidance and negative adjustment, but there is a negative relationship between the stress dimension of parent-teacher communication and peer relation and the strategy dimension of facing-the-problem and self-adaptation. Based upon the conclusions, this study provided some suggestions for educational administrators, school authorities and future study.

Abstract:
This chapter explores the religious and political influences that shaped Abdullah Quilliam’s Muslim missionary activities, philanthropic work and scholarly writings in an attempt to shed light on his particular political convictions as manifest through his unique religiopolitical endeavors. It focuses especially on Quilliam’s Methodist upbringing in Liverpool and his support of the working classes. It argues that Quilliam’s religious and political activism, although primarily inspired by his conversion to Islam, was also shaped and influenced by the then newly emerging proletariat, revolutionary socialism. Quilliam’s continued commitment to the burgeoning working-class trades union movement, both as a leading member representative and legal advisor, coupled with his reputation as the "poor man’s lawyer" because of his frequent fee-free representations for the impoverished, demonstrates his empathetic proximity to working-class struggles.

Abstract All the services provided in a school come from state government or through the states from the federal government. A child’s right to a sound, basic education is not a right or entitlement supported by the U.S. Constitution. However, there have been and currently are many federal laws that support education and instruction for many different kinds of students. Further, education and a child’s right to it are part of every state’s constitution. Whether an art class, physics class, guidance counseling, instruction, books, or lunch, all education services in the public schools come from state law and are supported by state and/or federal funds. Education as we know it is the responsibilities of states and local municipalities. That is why it is important as a parent advisor to use state resources, identify state processes, and communicate with state offices. State resources are also very helpful in keeping up with federal laws.

Abstract:
The current certification requirements for multiengine rotorcrafts for takeoff and landing performance do not always provide a safe approach to the scenarios where the helicopters actually operate if compliance demonstration is achieved with the current accepted methods. Several critical aspects of these methods do not to produce "safe" flight envelopes and provide insufficient or inadequate operational information. The current regulations are long dated and not updated to reflect the advance in technology. The current accepted methods of compliance for the definition of the H-V envelope for multi-engine helicopters do not ensure the airworthiness required for all possible operations. For this reasons, the H-V envelope should not be considered a limitation for all CS29 multi-engine configurations and substituted by performance that would allow defining a safer envelope. Particular attention should also be given to operations over elevated helidecks and oilrigs where the environment is extremely demanding and not predictable. In order to get approval for these kinds of operations, specific testing methodology should be developed and approved. A detailed list of proposed changes for the Advisory Circular and applicable regulation is considered and new acceptable compliance methods for the following subjects are proposed for: Cat B Take Off; H-V envelope; Cat A performance for elevated/oilrig helidecks; Takeoff performance influential factors. The incorrect definition of the applicability of the H-V envelope has created an unsafe regulatory case also in the operational rules (AIR-OPS) for Operations in performance class 2 with exposure from helidecks.

<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies has significantly changed various industries. This study demonstrates the application of a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to predict the drag coefficient of a complete vehicle profile. We have developed a design advisor that uses a custom 3D CNN with a U-net architecture in the DEP MeshWorks environment to predict drag coefficients (Cd) based on car shapes. This model understands the relationship between car shapes and air drag coefficients calculated using computational fluid dynamics (CFD).</div><div class="htmlview paragraph">The AI/ML-based design advisor feature has the potential to significantly decrease the time required for predicting drag coefficients by conducting CFD calculations. During the initial development phase, it will serve as an efficient tool for analyzing the correlation between multiple design proposals and aerodynamic drag forces within a short time frame. Additionally, the interactive AI/ML tool helps to streamline the creation of necessary shape parameters with minimal input and helps optimize the design of the vehicle to achieve the desired coefficient of drag values.</div><div class="htmlview paragraph">In summary, the implementation of MeshWorks AI/ML-based design advisor system will aid analysis engineers in assessing the vehicle's coefficient of drag values, while also enabling parametrization and optimization of the design. This advancement has the potential to significantly reduce processing time and alleviate the inherent procedural complexities associated with the traditional methods.</div></div>

Abstract:
Products that are manufactured using near net-shape manufacturing processes must be designed with regard to the constraints of the manufacturing process. The purpose of this research project is to develop a knowledge based manufacturing advisor to assist designers of products for casting and injection moulding. The manufacturing advisor is tightly integrated with a CAD solid modeller, and uses a novel feature recognition approach to identify the manufacturing features of the part. A mid-surface abstraction from the part’s solid geometry is used as the basis for feature recognition, and it is argued that this is a better approach to feature recognition for this class of parts than a CAD solid model. Initial testing indicates that the feature recognition process is able to effectively recognise a range of features but that the quality of the feature recognition is dependent on the mid-surface representation that is generated.

Abstract:
The hybrid electric vehicle is changing the automotive market at an impressive rate. While not as highly publicized, the transit bus market is being transformed at an equally great rate. As these markets move forward, the school bus market remains largely unchanged. As an unchanged market, there is still the opportunity to optimize a hybrid vehicle platform for school buses. This study models an existing class C school bus and investigates the potential of both series and parallel hybrids to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. The primary focus of this study is to investigate the potential benefits of adding an electric grid interconnection to hybrid electric school buses, allowing them to add to the hybrid potential to a pre-charged battery pack. These vehicles are known as plug-in hybrids. The school bus models shown in this paper were generated in a Matlab/Simulink-based program developed by NREL called ADVISOR. ADVISOR is used by vehicle manufacturers as a tool to experiment with different vehicle configurations. In this study both a generic series hybrid and a generic parallel hybrid are generated and used in both charge-sustaining and charge-depleting scenarios with varying sizes of battery packs to increase the “grid energy.” The results of each model are presented by fuel economy and emissions reductions taking into account the power plant emissions and electricity costs. The results of the study show that by adding a plug-in connection to existing hybrids, significant savings can be achieved, both in fuel costs and in overall emissions. By analyzing the emissions at the power plant level and at the vehicle level we show that emission of NOx, Particulate Matter and Carbon Dioxide can all be reduced while saving on fuel costs. This study also shows that some models of traditional hybrid can be operated as plug-in models with little or no change to the system to gain significant benefit from the initial charge.

Abstract:
In Japan it is a common practice that the student at the senior year in engineering education needs to conduct a thesis work as a part of the graduation requirement. In most cases he or she becomes a member of a specific research laboratory where the professor provides a thesis project for the student to complete within a year. Engineering Clinic Program (ECP) at the Kogakuin University (KU) is an industry-academia cooperation program where the company provides a project for the students who work together as a team of four to five. ECP replaces the traditional thesis work for the graduation requirement. All projects in ECP coming from the industry are of open-end and of most advanced technology so that the students work on the real world problems just like the engineer in the company. The technical liaison from the company together with the faculty advisor guides the students, although they never give the solution to them. They should come up with some solutions to the problem within the limited timeframe and thus the creative ability and also management capability are cultivated. The students learn how to apply the knowledge learned at class to solving a real engineering problem. The problems the industry provides to ECP are of wide variety and also multidisciplinary in the engineering field. Among them, presented herein are two fluid dynamic problems handled in ECP in the past,: 1) development of accurate droplet measurements in intravenous injection pump, and 2) study of a journal bearing for Jet Pump. How these fluid dynamic problems provided from the industry were handled by the students with the help of the liaisons and advisors are described in this paper.
