Mullah Ahmad Jazeri’s Dīwan is one of the masterpieces of classical Kurdish literature and was taught in classical Kurdish madrasas. For this reason, many Kurdish scholars and litterateurs have written many sharhs on Mullah Ahmad Ja- zeri’s Dīwan. One of these sharhs is that of Mul- lah ‘Abd al-Rahim Wastanî (1894-1956) from the Wastan/Gevaş district of Van.
